This library is clean, nice, and even has a little coffee shop to keep you up for those long study or concentrating periods.

It is 6 stories and has great study areas and views to pair.

I figured it was about time for me to write up a review for the PSU library as I have been spending most of my time there lately.
This library has many different spaces available in order to get your school work done; whether it be solo or with a group. There are six floors in the library, half of them are quiet study and the other half allow talking in order for group work to happen. There are quite a few private group study rooms that are available for rent to students (be sure to reserve these way in advance during mid-​term and finals weeks).
The library has a whole slew of computers as well as several print stations. The print stations are hooked up to web print so you can conveniently print from your own laptop. There is a reference desk located on the second floor. If you don’t know where to get started in this large library. you should stop by the reference desk first. I’ve also had a bit of luck having them help me with my research. These librarians went to school to learn how to research things, go take advantage of their expertise!
I also enjoy the various views I can get depending on which side of the library I decide to it on. If you sit on the east side of the building (the front) you have a nice view of the Park Blocks and a beautiful tree that grows right in front of the library. If you head to the west side you get a view of the football field. I have had much entertainment from watching everything from soccer and football practice to martial arts practice and cricket games.

Decent library. Pretty small and gets extremely crowded during midterms/​finals. It’s almost impossible to find a seat/​table with an outlet!
There are a few cool study areas for group studying or group projects, but those are ALWAYS taken up. :(
People are table hoggers here and take up a whole table to themselves.
4^th floor and up are quiet floors.

If there were a prize for greatest height to base ratio of libraries in the Pacific Northwest, the PSU Library would probably win.
Here’s what you need to know if you’re stopping by this library. It is six floors (1 – 5 and a basement). The basement and floors 4 and 5 are «quiet floors,» which I suppose makes 1, 2, and 3 the loud floors. If I’m trying to find a place to study, I usually try 4 first because I don’t have to walk up as many stairs as I would to get to 5 and the basement is often crowded (and homework + no windows = depression).
There are computer labs on floors 1 and 2. Go to the one on floor 2. There are more computers, more OPEN computers, and more staff to help you with problems with your computers.
If for some reason this library doesn’t have a resource you need (let’s be real, it happens), Inter-​Library Loan (ILL) allows you to request said resource from dozens of other libraries in the Pacific Northwest and it will be delivered free of charge in less than a week.
It may not be the biggest or most modern library in the world, but overall I’m a fan.

As a frequenter of libraries and coffee shops in the area — anywhere a girl can get her study on — this is my favorite place in Portland to go when I really need to crank out some work. It is the quietest library in all of Portland.
Even though it is a university library, it is open to the general public. The fourth and fifth floors are quiet study areas and they are exactly that. I have never been distracted by obnoxious or inconsiderate people here, as most of them are students who are actually trying to study and/​or get some work done, a problem I usually run into when I go to a public library.
The Wi-​Fi is free and quick, although you do have to register (i.e. give your name, phone number, and email) so that you can have 24-​hour access.
Clean place, there is a coffee shop on the bottom floor near the elevators, and best of all… it’s filled with books! :) Enjoy!

I love studying here. I can’t seem to focus when I study at home, so the reprieve the library offers is a breath of fresh air. The second floor study tables by the window are by far my favorite.
Hours are good. Staff is kinda helpful. Studious boys are cute. What more could you ask for?
Can get packed in the middle of the day, so if you find a good spot, STAY THERE. People are always willing to watch your stuff while you go pee.
The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because it can be kind of loud at times (with the exception of the 4^th and 5^th floor being quiet floors). Small price to pay for the awesome view of the giant oak (?) tree growing in the middle. Just put on some groove tunes and zone out in your studies.

This is the library of Portland State University. There are a total of 6 floors including a basement.
Recently there was a remodel on the first floor so take advantage of the new designed sandbox with touch screen monitors and tons of space to you dry eraser markers! If you’re looking for a quiet place to study make sure to check out the 4^th and 5^th floor since those are the quiet floors, and there are also tons of study rooms that you can also rent out for 2 hours at a time!
