Portland French Bakery

I discovered Portland French Bakery when I lived in Portland and was eating at a fancy dancy restaurant downtown. They were serving some phenomenal Potato Rosemary Bread dipped in balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I love bread, almost any way you slice it. but this bread. was AMAZING. After inquiring with the server I found out they did not make their own bread, but instead got it from Portland French Bakery. I contacted the bakery and found out although they are wholesalers, they WILL sell to the public at will call for retail orders.
So over the years every time I have bag space and I am making a trip up I’ll pick up a few (8) loaves of bread and bring it down to me. They come par-​baked and are super moist and delicious. If you have a restaurant in the area and are looking for some pre-​dinner appetizers that your guests WILL come back for (other than your food), try to find something at this bakery. They will not disappoint. I brought loaves back this most recent trip and the people I bought them for are asking when I can get them more!
