April 2015– My husband and I needed to sell our home that needed to be updated quickly. Called Joe and he came out that same evening to look at out house. Due to a new house my husband and I were looking at on the market, Joe gave us a good and fair price and we able to put a offer on the new house that same weekend. My husband and I would recommend Joe and PDX Renovations to anyone who wants to sell their home no matter the condition it is in. They will help you and answer all of your questions you have. I had a home that had been remodeled before I bought it. It came go light several years later that the addition was never permitted. When the city inspector came out to look at it, we realized it would require a great deal of time and money to bring it up to code. We had simply did not want to put the time and energy into bringing it up to code. I get letters everyday from companies wanting to buy my rental properties. I called several of them to come look at the house. We had accepted an offer on it and had it off of the market for two weeks when the company backed out of the deal. Joey McNamara contacted my partner and came to look at the house and said he thought he could help. They bought the house, closed in a short time and the whole process was painless for us. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to sell a home the needs some work.

Guys. If you see a home being sold by PDX Renovations, RUN in the other direction! The shortcuts and cheap solutions these guys make absolutely boggle the mind.
They provided us with a bathtub in our upstairs bathroom with a pipe that didn’t connect to the drain, creating a small lake in my kitchen the first time I ran a bath. I had wall grates for our heating system being used for FLOOR grates, that literally bent in half when walked on. We have a wood floor that’s falling apart, tile with no grout, tile with chipping/​crumbling grout, cheap paint on the walls that chips when you brush up against it, and an infinite number of small details and finishes throughout the house that are cheap, out of alignment, and poorly constructed. I could go on and on.
Overall, these guys are all about making a quick buck with ZERO pride in quality of work. If you buy a house from them, make sure they include a home warranty and I’d recommend paying extra for a super delux inspection. Guaranteed that they’ll have cut some corners that could cost you in the long run.

I have a rental that I’ve decided to sell. It needs a bit of work, and I’m so busy I decided to see what I could get for it if I sold it to one of the places that offers cash for houses. Joe and Ernest came out and basically told me that I’d be much better off selling it myself. They said it wasn’t in that bad of shape and gave me some great advice on what I could do to get it ready to sell and gave me references to contractors who could help me and a realtor. I really appreciated their advice and insight. They seemed like real straight shooters who value their integrity a great deal.

I’m in the process of moving my parents into an elder care home in California. Needless to say it’s expensive — enough so that we need to sell their house in Portland. I contacted the folks at PDX Renovations after reading the reviews here — they seem to fit the bill with being able to move quickly, be helpful and be fair on pricing. They looked @ the house, made a fair offer and had the contracts to me within a week. They also are dealing with all the paper work, title insurance, etc, etc. that I don’t have the time to do. All-​in-​all a painless process. I would recommend them if you want good no hassle service.

In late 2013 and due to an urgent family matter I realized I would need to move from Oregon to California and sell my home in the process. It had little equity in it, needed a tremendous amount of repair work, and I needed to sell it in 30 days or less. I would have never accomplished this without the help of Joe Taylor and PDX Renovations.
Though he wasn’t the first group I worked with, he did end up being the last and provided me support and guidance all along the way. I was inexperienced in this type of sale process and encountered fast cash/​flip businesses showing interest and wanting to sign on my house without having an actual buyer or cash to complete the deal. Joe walked me through the process of terminating my existing contract (already stuck in a long term escrow), and then helped me through the sale process with his company. Joe turned around what I expected to be a disastrous financial situation for me into a transaction that I am very, very happy with and more so that I was able to get to my family within a few weeks of our starting the sale process.
I think very highly of Joe. He is an honest man with tremendous integrity, and although we live in a world of contracts, legal agreements, and notarized documentation; I would have trusted Joe and PDX Renovations with a hand shake and would have known confidently that everything would have worked out as he said it would. I would recommend PDX Renovations to anyone wanting to sell their home quickly, or even not so quickly, but not wanting to go through the more standard realtor route. I recently purchased a home that had been renovated by PDX renovations. I cannot begin to list the amount of short cuts taken. Poor workmanship around every corner. If you are in the home buying market beware of this name! I will never purchase anything with this name mark again!
