PDX Pups

Caitlin is awesome. She is so great with dogs, even the high energy lab variety. My dog loves her. Extremely reasonably priced for her services. Very reliable. Highly recommend…

In 5^th grade (a.k.a. many moons ago) I’d finally convinced my parents to get a puppy; I cannot express the happiness & excitement that I had within my heart.
During the fifth year that we had our dog, we left her at Rock Creek Kennels
–a place in which you’d visit, (most likely) having little to no discomfort in trusting, for you’re greeted with a luxurious fountain (amidst other characteristics that endow the establishment with ritzy flavor).
Even at the age of whichever-​age-​I-​was, without giving it a thought, I sincerely felt as if we dropped her off at the nicest of nice. If it had been Vegas (i.e., the most common ‘spring break’ for my family), Rock Creek Kennels appeared to be the Bellagio within a world filled with MGM’s & Circus Circus’ (although I’d be lying by omission if I didn’t say that I so very wished to play & maybe stay at those particular game-​thrill-​fill hotels, and you probably would have felt the same, if you were my age, in Las Vegas).
After returning to Portland from the Lone Star State, we headed straight to Rock Creek Kennels to pick up my surrogate sister (and, you know she was just that because I was young enough –honest with my self in the declaration I felt comfortable making, once a truth had found me).
Instantly, I knew something was wrong; we all did. A person (holding Beegee) handed her over; she looked so frail that it still brings pain to my heart. Within the next few weeks, we had to say goodbye to her; during her stay at Rock Creek Kennels, her liver was poisoned.
Although I’m unsure as to why my parents ceased to sue the place, Rock Creek Kennels (oddly…) paid for every medical bill, during the short time in which we tried to revive things.
Long story long, this is the reason you can trust my opinion, especially in regards to Caitlin. My (one & only, thus far) dog has a story that still brings me sadness, and that’s one reason why I’d never write a recommendation for a person who wouldn’t treat your dog like a surrogate family member.
Caitlin is an amazing person –one of my dearest friends; and, there’s a reason for that.
I saw Caitlin a few days ago, while she was babysitting an adorable puppy who was the same age as her own. There’s something to be said about a person who strives to make a living, doing something in which he or she absolutely loves. This is what Caitlin is doing. She’s very professional, yet her heart’s intact.
Caitlin truly cares about the well-​being of others. Unlike the common notion, ‘others’ doesn’t equate to one (of a million different) lifeforms.
Caitlin cares for the dog she’s watching just as much as she cares for her own; I have witnessed this. Simply put –when it comes to leaving something special (in the hands of another), I wouldn’t think twice, as long as Caitlin is an option.

McManis actually likes Caitlin, with PDX Pups, more than he likes me (as evident by him knocking her down to give her kisses the last time she came to pick him up). She is absolutely great with my dog. She has been helping me out with him since he was 5 weeks old, and I couldn’t have done it without her. She will come and pick him up for walks anytime I need the help, or will stay with him while I am out of town. The photos of them playing at the park are an excellent touch. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. Thanks Caitlin!
