I just recently purchased a Suzuki GSX-​R 750 from PDX Auto Imports. Probably the best automotive purchase I’ve made and I’m very satisfied with it. PDX AI is a place full of great customer service, from finding you the right ride to working out an affordable buy. I have no complaints about it.

Great Customer Service, Excellent Quality Vehicle, Honest Owners and very nice, clean, well kept vehicles on site! I highly recommend these guys. No honesty here! What a waste of time and money! So I have been looking for a specific e46 Laguna Seca for some years. After finding one at PDX auto imports, I thought my search was over. Ill try and keep this short, and ill just included the most obvious lies. I talked back and forth with David about the car and the condition considering it was listed as a rebuilt, I understood I was assuming some risk, but that was supposed to be because of the unknown, not what David was already aware of. I discussed all of the typical issues and if they had been fixed and or replaced, and was assured everything was in proper working order. I asked some very basic, yet forward questions such as, «Are there any check engine lights on?» or «Is there any major repairs needed?» or «Is there anything worth noting that might be of worry since I will have to drive this car over 900 miles the day of purchase back home to Montana.»
The answers I received are what has caused this negative review. Of those few, of many important questions that I asked, not one was answered with honesty. I was informed this car was rebuilt back to stock condition, that there were no engine lights on, and that there was no major issues with this car in any way. I was told the paint was not perfect, but that is the only honest thing that came out of David’s mouth.
So now that I have gone back and forth via phone calls, text and emails with David, I am certain I found the car id been looking for, and I put down a deposit. Soon after, I bought 2 plane tickets for me and a co pilot, reserved a hotel room, sent money to my mom, who was going to drive the 6 hours to visit while I was in Portland and a few other odds and ends, including securing a cashiers check to pay of the remainder of the car. So 6 days pass after putting a deposit, my voice in my head eats away at me, telling me not to trust anyone, even if most of their reviews are 4 and 5 stars online.
So I decide to have a 3^rd party inspection done one the car the afternoon before my early AM flight the next morning. I will be leaving a 5 star for PDX Inspections for saving me from a huge mistake! Now remember the questions I asked David, that I listed above and now I’ll list some of what PDX inspections found.
#1 — Rear turn signals and brakes lights inoperative
#2 — No horn
#3 — Windshield washer not working
#4 — Airbag lights, headlight warning light, rear parking sensor light, ABS light, HVAC light.
#5 — (BIG ONE) NO AIRBAGS REPLACED AFTER MAJOR FRONT AND REAR END COLLISION
#6 — No left high or low beam headlight
This is just to name some of the obvious stuff my questions should have covered. So much more to list, bald tires, no spare tire compressor for flat repair, poor paint quality, slop in the drive-​train, driver window rattles as its track is wore out, rear window that does not seal properly and rattles, heated seats not working.
So after getting this inspection I immediately call David, as it is now, only 12 hours from my planes departure. So I need to know weather to cancel my trip or if these finding are inaccurate. David first back peddles and tries to say he told me about the airbag light, but he would not answer me right off the bat, if the airbags were even present. After discussing it with him for 5 minutes, he finally says that there is no airbags, and then confirms the taillights don’t work and one headlight does not work, etc… So I inform David I am extremely upset that he did not divulge this information to me when I had asked him all these questions before purchasing my plane tickets.
Long story short, David was willing to put me in a car that was not safe to drive, or even legal. I cant imagine if I had not had the inspection done and to only find out later when the sun went down that not only is the car a deathtrap with no functioning safety equipment,(i.e. airbags, ABS), but that it would even be legal to continue my trip home. How can anyone in a business blatantly lie to someone trying to make a purchase long distance. So much for transparency or honesty anymore. One thing I can say, is David did not argue and was %100 understandable that I was upset with this dishonesty. He also said himself that he completely agrees why Ill be leaving a negative review, when I told him id be leaving an honest comment to hopefully save someone the trouble in the future. BUYER BEWARE, NOT HONEST, WILL LIE TO MAKE A SALE EVEN IF IT MEANS ENDANGERING THEIR CUSTOMER.
So end to the story, is I could not refund my two plane tickets, could not cancel my hotel and now have a cashiers check made out to PDX Auto Imports, that I cant get replaced as my flight leaves hours before my local bank opens. I asked David to offer some assistance to help with my incurred non-​refundable expenses and/​or to help get money from the check I have made out to them so I could possibly find another car since I could not cancel my flight. I was told there was nothing they could do. DO NOT BUY!!!

Have not actually purchased from here— GET AN INSPECTION!
Was looking at a Subaru wrx 2006 with decent miles and really nice overall. We’re paying cash for a car and asked to have it taken to Subaru for an inspection.
After Subaru inspected the vehicle they reported that the «trunk was unaligned,» like it has been in a collision and replaced improperly. The drivers seat belt didn’t work, and the power steering rack is bad/​leaking. The steering rack is a 1,300 factory replacement. Please keep in mind that owner Bill’s carfax and title for this car are «clean.» There was NO budge on the original price, even after all the problems Subaru found.
After refusing the offer and asking if they would fix the power steering themselves, he said no and we will sell it exactly how it is.
Just be careful if you find a car here! We’re glad we didn’t! Get any vehicles from here inspected!!!

I bought a 2006 wrx sti with only 9,600 miles from them! I was truly amazed in the condition it was in. I flew from Vegas to Portland just to buy it. David is the man! He stayed after closing time and gave me the opportunity to test drive and buy the car I’ve always wanted! All the cars they have are in great condition! From sport bikes to trucks. I strongly recommend this place. So far buying my car from pdx auto imports was the best decision i have ever made! I love my car and you’ll find something there that you will love GUARANTEED! I had a mixed experience with my purchase from PDX Auto Imports.
In summary, dealing with Bill was very pleasant and I had a good experiencing testing and buying the car; no pressure and no cheap sales pitches. However, in my particular case I was hit with some surprises after buying the vehicle that ultimately have me now getting rid of it and looking for a new one. So given that, I have to advise people to be careful even though I think this could have happened at any dealership under the right conditions. I just got unlucky. Read on for details…
Roughly one month ago I purchased a 2007 WRX STi from Bill after searching for some time online for this particular vehicle. In general, my dealings with Bill specifically were very positive. Although in the early phases of our conversations it was hard to schedule a viewing of the car because I lived in Seattle, we eventually were able to sync up on a Sunday for him to view my trade-​in and so I could see the car.
It had low miles for this model year, and was priced well. Not SO well that I would suspect anything was wrong with it, but good enough to warrant the 3 hour drive down. I test drove the car, and everything felt good. I ended up trading in my car, and driving off that day happy with my experience.
Later that week I had the car inspected, and this is when the issues came up. It was apparent to the service techs that the car had been in a significant accident, one bad enough to cause several panels and portions of the frame to be replaced. They pointed out the obvious signs of this, including a paint measuring device that showed the colors did not match exactly. This is all despite having a clean carfax and title.
Furthermore, they found many missing pieces to the engine and exhaust, and clear signs that the engine had been removed at some point. Finally, and perhaps the most troubling, they found bronze flakes in the oil, which is usually a sign of a bearing issue.
After some back and forth with Bill, he was able to find out from the previous owner that the engine had been replaced. I didn’t get word on the accident, but just knowing it wasn’t the original engine and that it wasn’t shown on the Carfax was surprising to me. While I understand that a new engine might be just as good as the original, whoever put the engine in did not reassemble it correctly and put in all the stock parts. Because of this, I cannot trust the car is completely safe or warrant more money to investigate the potential problems.
So again, it’s a very mixed experience for me. I would recommend paying for a mobile used car inspection even if the car you’re looking at has a clean Carfax. I’m sure Bill did everything he could on his end to verify the car’s condition, but you can never be too sure without a second-​opinion, and believe me the hassle of getting rid of a car you don’t want after financing it is a pain.

I wish I could give them a zero stat rating. Literally the WORST car buying experience I’ve ever had. I called Bill on monday to get just basic info on a car like which state it was titled in and if the timing had been done. He couldn’t answer either question I had and said he would call me back with the info I requested which never happened. This was fallowed with me calling him on tuesday, wednesday, and thuraday with no better outcome. On thursday I told bill that I needed a P.O. number so I could get $ 16,000 from my bank to come buy the car he has still failed to get me info on. Once again he gave me the run around and said he would call me back. So to recap I’ve called 7 times now, told him I was bringing 16K but none of this was good enough to call me back. They claim to have outstanding customer service but in reality its the exact opposite of what they say. I wouldn’t recommend this company to even my worst enemy. I’d much rather buy a 16K vehicle from a homeless man. Atleast he’d have to respect and backbone to call me back. Once again Bill is a coward and this whole business is a sham. Buy your next car ANYWHERE ELSE.

I live in Olympia, wa. I found a 2007 Volvo v50 t5 awd online and for a few weeks, toiled over whether or not it would be worth the drive. When I’d run out of leads up here, I drove down. PDX auto imports was my third and final stop. Within an hour, I was sure I’d found my new car.
First impression of them: very warm and welcoming. I worked with Bill, who I’m pretty sure was a friend in a former life. He clearly works hard for his customers and business, which is refreshing. I got the same feeling from all of their vehicles which is that they’re well cared for, in great shape, and low miles. Doesn’t hurt their image.
My dad drove the car off the lot, following me in my boyfriends car. Within ten miles, the check engine light came on. I called Bill, who encouraged me to bring it back. I’d told him of a previous car buying experience that landed me with a lemon. When we returned, I sensed his genuine regret that this had happened to me with one their cars.
We decided he would keep the car over night to have it fixed, and he offered, graciously, to drive it to my house the next evening (95 miles). When we met the following evening, he had brought the receipt from the work done for my records and had bought me new mats. He had done everything to make this the joyful decision it should be. I’m so grateful I bought a car from these lovely people. I highly recommend them!

I have nothing but great things to say about David of PDX Auto Imports. I’ve bought 5 or 6 vehicles from him. I’ve had an issue with one of them but he took care of me and got me another vehicle. He is great guy with amazing customer service. I’ve been buying from him and will keep buying from him! I have even recommended him to all my friends. I strongly strongly recommend buying any vehicle whether it be a car, a motorcycle or even a boat! Again great guys, vehicles and service.

Bought my 2009 Honda Accord EX-​L from Bill at PDX Auto Imports and I’m impressed with the way my experience was handled from start to finish.
Bill took the time to listen to my needs and helped me pick the right car to suite my style and price range. This company is ethical and EXTREMELY easy to work with. And although this review is way overdue, I’ve had my car for two years now and it works and runs excellent. Will buy from them again.

Bought a motorcycle from Bill and PDX Auto Imports. Bill was fantastic. I found the ad on Craigslist, and called him up after doing some research. I ended up putting money down and arranging to take the train from Seattle to Portland. Bill agreed to pick me up on a Saturday and take me to to the shop so I could drive the bike home. Outstanding.
To top it all off, he noticed that a bracket was missing and put a new one on before I headed out.
Very professional, super wonderful help. I would recommend this company over and over.

Bought my first motorcycle here. Bill was incredibly nice and informative about the inventory and was flexible with the prices. You do have to find your own finance company but it was better because I was able to work with my local credit union, getting a low interest rate.
The bike is clean and it’s done by appointment only which gives you more of a one on one experience with them rather then having to deal with other costumers around you.
I’ve already recommended my friends looking for bikes his way and will defiantly check there first when I’m ready to upgrade!
