We had a plumbing emergency and Hardie & Jon came out and saved the day. Great work, great communication, great accountability.

So in course of human events, eventually pipes break and play havoc with your walls. Pacific Plumbing and drain services was scheduled to do the replacement work by our insurance company. What should have been a relatively straight forward replacement turned out to be a bit more involved which is understandable, but length of repairs was drastically increased by the service we received from Pacific Plumbing and drain.
TLDR; Overall, I cannot fault them for the 2 hours of work they did. I can fault them that it took them nearly 3 months to do it. They also need to come up with an excuse other than «we were just about to call you.»
The Story.
The first technician came out on time as scheduled, but couldn’t work on the pipe until the mold had been removed (understandable). So after having the mold situation fixed the tech came back, spent three minutes looking at the pipe, noted that the valve would need to be replaced and that he would have to order the part (totally fine). After a week, he returned with the part, but it turned out he ordered the wrong part (whoops). So he said they would order another valve.
A week passed and I hadn’t heard anything so I called to see if the part had come in. Apparently it had, and they were just about to call me and we scheduled a time to come out and replace the valve (oh. ok…). The day of the appointment Theresa called and said the tech was sick, and she would have to call me back to reschedule (ugh). So three days went by, no call. On the fourth day I opted to call them and guess what? They were just about to call me! (sure you were…)
So this time, a new tech, David, came out. He said that he actually was one of the managers and was out do my valve replacement because the first tech had apparently gotten hammered and came into work that day and «made a scene». (not good) He replaced the pipe and the valve in about an hour. About 30 minutes later, I noticed one of the elbow joints and the connection between the valve and the shower arm were leaking. I called them back and Theresa said she’d see about having him come back the next day.
The next day came and went, no call. So I called them again. And guess what? I must be psychic because THEY WERE JUST ABOUT TO CALL ME! (lies.) We scheduled a time.
David came back and tightened the joint which stopped the leak. When the water was turned back on we noticed that there was a leak in a separate valve on another line. He wasn’t sure what the valve was for but made a call to the office to confirm if it was covered or not. He said it was and that Theresa would call it into American Home Shield (AHS). I asked David if I needed to do anything, and he said Theresa would call me if I needed to call them and submit a new request.
So, a week goes by, no call. So I called, and this time spoke to Jessica. She said she didn’t know what was going on and would call me back.
10 points if you can guess what happened next.
No call! (surprise! not really.) So I called her the next day. She transferred me back to Theresa who said that they had the part, but needed me to call AHS to get a new work order before they could do anything. So I called AHS, they put a work order through and I called Jessica back to let her know the work order was in. She said she would call me as soon as they had it.
So, this time they actually called me back. A new tech came out this time. When he got here he didn’t have a water key to turn off the water. So he had to leave and meet another plumber to get his key. While he was gone for that 30 minutes, I opted to familiarize myself with the written material for the valve they were replacing. I like to know a little about everything in my house so I can spot little problems before they turn into big problems.
The tech returned and shut the water off and began to install the valve. As he was doing his work I noticed the valve was being installed on the wrong line (why did I have to notice this?) He opted to install it anyway and said he would come back to install it correctly and that I would hear back from Theresa by the end of the week.
I didn’t.
I called AHS and they made a call on my behalf to the company. Guess what? They told AHS «They were just about to call me.» The customer service rep at AHS said they would get back to me by the end of the day. They didn’t. I called AHS again, they spoke to company again. They said they would call me back. AGAIN they didn’t. Eventually I opted not to work with them and asked the work to be transferred to another company.

So it was the morning of my annual Christmas Party when my garbage disposal dies! I was hosting a very fancy dinner in just a few short hours and of course it was the weekend right before Christmas! I called a number of plumbers that I found online, all of which claimed to have 24-​hour emergency services. No one answered and worse than that, none called back after I left a message. Not only did Pacific Plumbing and Drain Services answer as soon as I called, the secretary said that I would have someone at my house in 2 – 3 hours! David came to the rescue in 2.5 hours and I had a new garbage disposal installed in 20 minutes flat! He knew I was hosting a party very shortly and was so conscientious about the cleanup as well! Thank you David and Pacific Plumbing and Drain, you saved the day!!!

We just bought a home and these guys looked out for us. David & Jon we’re very informative from start to finish. We have future projects and will definitely be calling them.

Best plumbing service i had an emergency broken water line and they came out right away and fixed it and it was very enexpensive. Wounderful company thanks again.

First off let me start with if I could give this company zero stars I WOULD! They are a bunch of crooks! They were sent out by the Insurance company I have on my newly bought home. This insurance was bought by the seller for us due to this being an old home and theirs always unknown stuff with old homes. Well the call was for standing water in our basement that had a stagnant smell. Well they came out and said that before they could do anything we had to have a water restoration company come out an clean up all the water so they can find an get to the issue. This was all at our cost due to it being a secondary issue to the plumbing. So now $ 800 later the water is cleaned up and they come back the next day and get in our crawl space and inform us that our kitchen pipe is rusted away because it was sitting in the dirt and they had to dig it up to find that is has rusted away over the years. Well that was good in the sense because our insurance was to cover undetectable preexisting conditions. Well they call us back saying our insurance denied the claim but not to worry because they can fix it for $ 3000 and it needs to be fixed ASAP. WTF was my response. So I turn and start fighting the insurance company only to find out they told the company that it could of been detected! Ummmm how? So that was the opposite of what they told us and not to mentioned that they had to clean up all the water before even going to look and DIG UP OUR BASEMENT to find THE SOURCE of the issue! I’d say that is the complete opposite of detectable! So after fighting the insurance and providing documents from our home inspection and from the plumber that came through the house during our home inspection where he stated no such issue was apparent the insurance sent a second opinion company
after two weeks of any water in our kitchen being off limits. Yeah it was great doing dishes in the bath tub with a two year old and 6 month old for 2 weeks while I fought this crooked company. Well wouldn’t you know… the second company came out and said they see the issue and no way with where it was could it of been detectable without digging like had to be done! Sour insurance is coving it and a quality company id doing the work. Oh, and just to seal my point I asked the new company how much it would cost to replace the pipe and do all the work they said $ 300-​$ 400 dollars and that the insurance was only paying out $ 400 for the fix. So Pacific Drain was trying to screw us over with our insurance just so they could get us to pay a ungodly amount of $ 3000 to do a $ 300 dollar job! Run DO NOT use them!!!

We’ve hired this company three times. Each time they have proven themselves to be prompt, helpful, honest, professional and courteous. Thank you, Billy, for replacing our disposal today!

This is our first time using Pacific Plumbing and Drain and we will definitely use them again. Billy came out, cleaned out our drain, repaired a couple of other issues and did it in a timely manner. We have had many costly repairs to our basement this year and Billy did his best to keep the costs down and get the work done in a timely manner. He was a real blessing to us today. Thank you Billy!

Pacific Drain Services was assigned to us through our home warranty. They arrived on time and were easy to work with. We had them out on several occasions and though the plumbers were always different, they were all polite and professional. So, why the one star? After clearing a clog in our basement they told us that the main line was cracked and needed to be replaced. The quoted job involved tearing down our fence, digging our backyard up, and replacing the pipe for $ 3,000.00. Thankfully, before agreeing to the work we decided to hired two additional plumbing companies for a second and third opinion. The pipes were scoped and we were told that the mainline was not cracked and looked just fine. This happened over a year ago and are plumbing is still working great. I’m not sure if it was one unskilled plumber or if they were trying to take advantage of us, but I would not use or trust this company. Thank you.

It took four different plumbers and one handyman before Bill finally figured out what the dripping sound was coming from inside our wall. Where the others just speculated, found nothing or were baffled and left saying sorry, he kept looking till he found the problem. Nobody else persevered like he did and that kind of customer service/​satisfaction is very rare nowadays. He was also very friendly, professional and conscientious (actually took the time to thoroughly wipe his feet before entering the house every time) Thank you Bill and Pacific Drain Services for providing me peace of mind knowing that there was no water damage and for finding and fixing the problem once and for all!!!

When we had a toilet leak, Pacific Drain Services was sent to my home from American Home Shield. We had reported our leak promptly and were told they repaired the leak. However, after a few weeks, we noticed the laminate flooring in front of the toilet was buckling and had them come back again to fix the problem. John could not find the source of the leak, however, there was water under the flooring. When I got a different plumber to check it out, he found the problem in about two minutes. The bolts attaching the tank to the bowl were significantly loose and the tank was rocking, something they should have caught all along. It had been leaking behind and under the toilet since they first came out to address the problem. Only now I had damaged flooring! I ended up with $ 400 in water damage treatment and had to cut flooring out of my closet to replace the damaged planks as the color for my flooring was discontinued. When I talked to American Home Shield about one of their vendor’s actions causing the damage, they stated it was the vendor’s responsibility to pay for the damages. When I spoke with John, he stated he was not responsible for it and has refused to pay for the damages. Had they fixed it correctly the first time we wouldn’t have damage. I would never recommend them to anyone. They did not do the job right and refused to accept responsibility for the damage caused by their negligence.

I’ve used and referred Pacific Drain many times. They’re honest, trustworthy and reliable. I highly recommend them.

Jon was great — very thorough and honest. His schedule is crazy-​busy, so expect to wait, but it’s worth it. He’s incredible nice and doesn’t rush through the job, which is really comforting. I’d definitely hire him again.

Plumber was very friendly & efficient, came over quickly and got the work done well! VERY straightforward & much more cost-​effective than ANY other neighborhood plumber!
