Description

Specialties

Brand Development, Brand Renovation, Brand Innovation, Brand Design, Brand Narrative Development, Design, Writing, Interactive, Advertising, Guerilla Marketing, Social Media Content Creation, Motion Design, Film making, and in general, Branding, but we hate that term — generally. Because a brand is a result, not a tactic.

History

Established in 2001.

The confederation of minds that founded Owen Jones & Partnerswalked out of a couple of Bay Area agencies during the economic downturn of 2001 determined to do it differently– and better. During a late-night cabal at a coffee shop on Haight Street in SanFrancisco they formulated a business model that was decidedly bohemian and capitalistic. Maybe it was the huge lattés, maybe the free-spirited surroundings — but they found themselves ponderingthe question:

What if we started an agency and not care if we actually did very many ads?

So, we built an agency capable of doing whatever it takesto achieve a specific result. Sometimes that is as tactical as on online campaign, as simple as a website; sometimes it’s as big and broadas naming and creating the vibe and voice for a brand new company — and, yep, sometimes it’s an ad.

Owen Jones & Partners is predicated on the belief that actions speak louder than words. Show, don’t tell.

Stand for something — not for everything.

Meet the Business Owner

Rusty G.

Business Owner

Rusty did a 10-year post grad advertising training program that consisted of living in a van six months of every year, river guiding, traveling, and coaching ski racing. The son of an entrepreneur and Wharton School grad, Rusty lights the wood stove in his house with old Wall Street Journals and enjoys business models in the same way he likes Updike novels, the quest for the perfect arc, and Loretta Lynn lyrics. Rusty isn’t sure if he met Owen first at GMVS in high school, on a fishing boat in the Icy Straits or in a class at the University of California at Berkeley where he graduated Phi Beta

Kappa with a degree in history.
