This place is great! Amazing service and family run. Moroccan spiced everything. and it’s really good with a dehydrated honey glaze crystal that is so dang good. They forgot to bring out one of our biscuits until I reminded them so they gave us a fresh marionberry scone. I am so glad they forgot the biscuit. That scone was the best scone I’ve ever eaten. All around great place and sweet people.

I love this place! The staff is friendly and helpful, the décor is modern and the seating is comfortable, and the large windows give the place great light. Even the bathrooms are meticulously clean. I got the veggie biscuit, which was delicious, and a latte with a beautiful design in the foam. Teeny drawback: I didn’t see any outlets, which might pose a challenge if you’re looking to do work on a laptop.

Excellent scones. Excellent tea. Phenomenal customer service. Every time I am around I will buy several scones to take home because my wife insists. Here’s a secret, call them and tell them you want some scones to go and they will make sure that they are fresh baked and ready to go. Blueberry, raspberry, mixed berry, coconut, chocolate… they have it all. And don’t forget to get tea to go. That’s Moroccan tea. It is minty, sweet, and delicious. But it is hot, I always add it to a cup of ice and it will last half a day. The owner and his sons are the nicest people running a business in the area. An absolute delight to go in and have a breakfast sandwich or lunch sandwich. And of course, scones to go.

Wow! Our experience here made our day when we were visiting Portland. Not only was EVERYTHING we ordered delicious(Moroccan latte, Pistachio latte, Moroccan chai, GLT sandwich, Santa Fe sandwich, pistachio-espresso grinds-moroccan spices milkshake), it was really the phenomenal service and wonderful personalities of the owner and his son that made the experience so memorable. They really care about your experience and enjoyment! The son insisted that we try the moroccan mint tea and delivered an order to our table — holy guacamole! ITBLEWOURMINDS. Its subtle sweetness combined with the fresh mint brew in the steaming cup was heaven. They also make their own whipped cream(we tried chocolate, cinnamon honey and hazelnut) and I was convinced this was the happiest place on earth! Favorites — bf: moroccan latte and GLT me: moroccan chai, our milkshake and Santa Fe THEMINTTEA!!! Do yourself a favor and visit!

We were taking a train from Portland to Seattle in the morning and Ovation Coffee & Tea was close to the station so we stopped by. The employees were very friendly and happy to provide us with some recommendations of coffee & tea options. I decided to order a small Iced Moroccan Mint Tea & Cheese Danish, and my fiancé ordered the Giraffe Latte & Gyro Biscuit. Even the small size tea was large! It was sweet, but not overwhelming, and tasted really refreshing with the mint. I wasn’t able to detect any orange blossom flavor in it(the menu noted the tea was made with orange blossom water); I really enjoyed it anyway. The Cheese Danish was tasty and large in size. I was pretty full after eating that & drinking the tea, it held me over well for the 3.5-ish hour train ride! The Giraffe Latte was also good. The large came with four shots of espresso. My fiancé was warned about this but he’s used to drinking black coffee so he was fine with it. I only tried a couple of sips of it, and typically I don’t like coffee, however if I were to get a coffee, this would be one I would enjoy. The Gyro Biscuit was very tasty too. I’d definitely recommend trying it out and regretted not getting one of the biscuits for breakfast. The vibe of the café was very relaxed. It was pretty quiet at the time we went in, with only a few patrons reading /working. If I lived close by, I would be there all the time!

Beautiful coffee shop tucked in at the end of Pearl District. Strawberry croissant is amazing. Pistachio latte was so good. We also tried the moroccan chai and the flavor was off the charts especially with the honey drizzled on top. Great place to try some cool lattes and the next time i an here, i will try the giraffe latte

Pistachio Latte — what? Sure, why not. It was soooo creamy, but not too rich, with the pistachio flavor mixing just right, so subtle with the espresso that didn’t taste burnt. I would totally try this place again. The chairs are really comfortable though I do wish they had some more wall sockets because my laptop dies fast and I go to cafes to study and drink yummy drinks all day. I really liked the tall ceiling to floor windows that let a lot of light in and the bathroom décor is comfy and nice.

Moroccan Latte was great on a hot summer day! The service was friendly, and the drink was interestingly new! I would give them a 4.5 if I could.

You know you really like a place when you go there twice in the same trip. The drinks are pretty good. I really love how they infuse spices into them. What takes them over the top though is the freaking homemade whipped cream flavors. I could eat a cup of just that, seriously. I had a chai latte and then a moroccan latte. Both were good, but the flavors in the moroccan latte were more pronounced. My friend’s pistachio latte was fantastic too. I think I just had the hazelnut whipped cream both times because it was just so good, but I can’t imagine a bad flavor. If I lived in Portland, I would come here for coffee all the time.

So I have to admit, I thought this place was pure hype and a hipster hell from reading the reviews and hearing people talk about it. All of that is just bullshit. This place is amazing. Most importantly the caffeine is delicious. It’s strong, tasty, and smooth. Hell they deserve five stars for having six different types of whipped cream. And one of them is honey cinnamon. I should take one star away because they don’t have another location in the Bay Area… meaning I can only taste this marvelousness-in-the-mouth when in Portland. My favorite is the Moroccan Giraffe with salted caramel and cinn honey whip cream. Not to mention, the staff is absolutely amazing, kind, friendly, and helpful. This place is a must when visiting Portland(period).

Wow! This place is amazing! Hands down the best coffee I’ve ever had. One of the best finds in Portland’s Pearl district. Walking in I wasn’t sure what they meant my Moroccan coffee, the cashiers were so helpful and insightful explaining how they add they Moroccan spices to all their coffees. They also make homemade whip cream to top their drinks! I decided to order their chai blended Zaza with home made honey cinnamon whip cream on top. Seriously I think I died and went to heaven. You can taste all the amazing spices in the chai and then you get the hit of cinnamon honey from the whip cream topping. The BF ordered a cup of Moroccan mocha. It arrived piping hot in a huge cup with a layer of caramelized honey on top. They created a beautiful design on top too. At first sip you a burst of flavors and a taste of the caramelized honey around the edge. Wonderful family run and owned business. Located next to a beautiful park and next the rail car stop. Definitely booking marking this place for our return visit to Portland. Also have to mention how comfy their chairs are! They are bungee chairs you’ll want to sit there forever with your coffee!

After waiting for one-half hour for a loooonngg train to pull into Union Station, I was more than ready to get to my oasis at Ovation. I ordered an iced green and mint tea. The barista rubbed a length of mint leaves to bring the oils out to stick into the green tea. So refreshing! I had a blueberry and peach scone — divine and not too sweet. The cashier and barista were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Such a treat to be around friendly people and have iced tea and a scone on such a beautiful day!

3FULLSTARS — would’ve been more but my chai was a let down. If it was able to steep I would’ve enjoyed it more. It sat over the foam and never infused into the milk. The space of the café is great though, clean, sharp-looking, and the staff couldn’t be more pleasant. They have a fancy bathroom too. But, I came for the chai remember. They have some delicious cookies and scones that are made off sight. Realllly good :) Bummer they’re not open after 5 or 6 pm.

Hello, perfect coffee shop. Where have you been my entire life? You have the best staff, the best location(Hello, dog park!) great parking, great views, comfy chairs, and the tastiest coffee I’m come across in Portland. The best part of the experience has got to be when they ask how you’d like your whip cream on your drink — hazelnut, butterscotch, toasted marshmallow, and some other rotating flavor. The inventiveness of the menu, paired with all the sumptuous food options(and great prices!) are why this is the best coffee shop in Portland, bar none.

Hooray for Ovation! A coffee salvation! The meaning of life revealed to me in their Moroccan«more-rockin» cappuccino! Like no other in PDX! Not like Barrista! Not like Stumptown! Both very good! Now imagine the taste of capuccino blended with cinnamon, cardamom, anise, gloves, sasafras, ginger, white pepper, a bit of honey under a foamy creamy frothy head almost thick enough to chew! Delicious! Organic roasted beans from Indonesia! Now for the meaning of life! I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine one without a good cappuccino in the middle of the day! Hooray for Ovation!

A cute little coffee and tea shop with friendly and fast service! There is plenty of seating with comfortable seats. This is a good place to catch up with friends, enjoy a book, or study and do some work. It was a hot day, so wr went with iced drinks. I really enjoyed the moroccan fresh mint tea, iced, which was recommended to me by the barista. It is not too sweet, and is very refreshing and delicious. They are generous with the mint leaves as well. Yum! There are plenty of options for drinks here– coffee, espresso, moroccan espresso beverages and moroccan teas. They also have blended drinks, affogatos, milkshakes, and soft serve items. They also offer food– breakfast biscuits, lunch sandwiches and paninis, as well as bakery items like pastries and muffins. Check this place out!

The details of the Ovation Café provide an amazing foundation. It is in the Pearl District, on the edge of the wonderful Fields Park. Plenty of seating is here, the menu is long with seemingly every beverage in the known world, and there are numerous kinds of pastries. It has plenty of seats, though there can be a modest echo in some parts, but no music and some seats are in the back towards rather quiet territory. It was great to go here. I had the Moroccan sweat mint tea as a small pot, and a shortbread cookie for $ 4.50 total. It came quickly and was rather delightful. Sometime, I will eat their items in the park. Their tea had a rich flavor, some of the cups I had with sugar, most I had without sugar, all delightful in their own way. The cookie was quite good. Given this, I will return. This is well above average.

A little off the beaten path from where we were staying, but so worth the snow walk! Great red velvet latte — seriously perfect foam and flavor! The gluten free breakfast sandwich was yum too! We enjoyed the window seating and our overall experience. The service was wonderful! We maybe would have liked to see more variety. Price was reasonable for amount of latte we received as well! Especially comparable to other frilly-PDX coffee places. THISONE was AMAZING and we will be back!
