OutCider is an urban ciderhouse that that sells bottled and draught hard cider. We use a traditional rack and cloth press and 100% local fruit to ferment dry and semi-​dry ciders. Blending our with seasonally available fruits, herbs and botanicals we invite drinkers to explore the rich fermentation culture of the Northwest. Check our website to find OutCider. We self distribute and sell directly to consumers.

Interested in making your own cider? We sell hard cider kits and teach hard cider making classes. We are the only people in town selling unpasteurized apple juice made from local apples. Make some great cider at home and help revive the American cider tradition!

History

Established in 2011.

Tim and Aidan started making cider in 2011 when Tim found out he was allergic to beer and Aidan wanted to help him out. On August 25th, 2011, OutCider was born. Over the course of two years, Tim and Aidan built a commercial apple press, found a production warehouse, obtained a liquor license and made a ton of cider. On January 1, 2013 OutCider sold it’s first bottle. by April 2013, OutCider began selling kegs and bottles throughout the Portland area.

Business Owner

A person who loves fermentation in all of its forms. The former brewer for Lionheart Kombucha and current fermentation consultant for the Homebrew Exchange, Aidan has over six year experience making cider, beer, wine, mead, kombucha and root beer. In college, he won the Finstad Entrepreneurial Grant to start an organic root beer company. Today, his curiosity for soda has grown up into a full fledged cider obsession
