Specialties
The Northwest Film Center is a media arts institution with film festivals, equipment access, fellowships, weekly film screenings in the Whitsell Auditorium, and classes at the School of Film.
Screenings of independent, foreign, experimental and classic films run year round. The Portland International Film Festival runs annually in February and is the largest film even in Oregon.
History
Established in 1971.
The Film Center has been screening films for nearly 40 years in downtown Portland.
