Description

History

Established in 2013.

I’ve always been a Doula, I just didn’t know it. Since the birth of my brother Gabriel when I was seven, I have held, cooed, and nurtured any tiny human that came into my care. I grew to love hospital halls and walls and was fascinated with all things surrounding birth and the beginning of life. These passions were further nurtured during my years of social service work, which I adored almost as much as pregnancy and birth. But it wasn’t until I discovered the role of a Doula that I realized the two biggest pieces of my heart could exist in the same room.

After completing my Doula training and an extensive Doula internship I met Kelly Greblo, my dear friend and co-founder of Brave Birth Doula Care. We poured our hearts into creating a safe space for all families to be a part of during their reproductive years. We offer prenatal and postpartum support circles, childbirth education and breastfeeding classes, as well as individualized care for each of our families we support.

Meet the Business Owner

Nicolette W.

Business Owner

I believe that through empowerment, support, and encouragement families are able to find their own rhythm of birth. My goal is to create a calm atmosphere of affirmation and safety, supporting the mother as she lets go of the unknown and embraces the process of birth. My hope for each of my clients is that they will find their journey into parenthood to be strong and wonderful. Many families have expressed appreciation of the grounding force I offer at times when emotions are running high. Their support partners often express that they were encouraged by my ability to normalize the process and help them find their place in the birth room.

When I’m not indulging my obsession with birth, I am running around in the woods with my little dog, reveling in all things outdoors, seeking a place in Forest Park to hang my hammock and sip a hot cup of coffee while losing myself in the written word.
