Nectar Mississippi

Lame, I just left there. I went in with my boyfriend to get some medicine. Stood on the medical side for ten minutes. There was ONE other guy in the room looking at BHO product. Not taking up the budtenders time at all. (not even talking to him). The customer was just doing his own thing deciding what he wanted to buy. The counter guy walked past us and opened up a cabinet right where we were standing three different times and didn’t even say hello to us. Luckily we live in Portland where there’s a dispensary on every corner. Get your shit together dudes. We went to Bloom 5 minutes away. Got really friendly, helpful, and fast service.

First customer (OMMP) @10 am. Not even a hi, hello or good morning it’s WHERE’S YOUR ID? Nice customer service. I was checking out their shatter selection and saw they had a buy one get one gram get one free promo written on their board. According to the bud tender, this was false and it’s actually buy 2 grams which was correct on leafly. That sucks, take the sign down/​change it, I feel duped. The tender then gave me their printed menu. I picked 3 strains of shatter and they had NONE OF THEM in stock. I finally got the clue to STOP reading off their menu! He then left a pile of shatters on the counter for me to choose from. It’s hard to choose with no organization, clearly printed labels and nothing comparable was offered to what I originally selected. This experience was something that was suppose to be so easy and effortless but quickly became stressful and not even worth the free first time preroll!

No good! I have been to every nectar. They have been around for years. They have recently just fallen off. I bought some bho, a house strain done by nectar. It was recommended by the budtender. When i took it home and tried to smoke it, it caught fire. This has happened to me here before. Its just bad all around. Very dangerous.

What a disappointing experience.
I went in looking for some bud to help me sleep. I’d done my research on Leafly, but wanted recommendations from a budtender.
First of all, there’s no waiting area, so it’s super noisy and hard to hear each other speak.
The «budtender» pointed to an indica and said it had high THC. Then he pointed out two more that were also high THC. (High THC does not automatically equal sleep-​inducing.)
And that was it. No further talk about the qualities of each, no offer to see and smell the product. He just looked at me. I activated my spidey-​sense and picked out Hindu Kush.
When I got home and looked up the three different strains, I saw that the one I picked was the ONLY one of the three indicated for sleepytime. Thanks, spidey-​sense; you were a lot more helpful than my «budtender».
The bud is packed in a pill-​bottle, and was somewhat dried out. Definitely not fresh. However, the quality was good. I would have liked to know the name of the grower, but that info is not on the bottle, nor was it mentioned.
Oh, also– when you conduct a transaction, «please» and «thank you» go a long way toward goodwill. I work in a dive bar and even I say please when asking for money. Jeez.
There are so many great places in town– Bridge City Collective is my current fave– so customer service is a major factor in return business. Nectar won’t have mine.

As someone that is not a frequent pot smoker (I almost never smoke due to work and the fact that I have lived in states that do not have legalized marijuana), this place was unexpectedly friendly. I was in fear of the typical dope pushers of my youth: loud mouthed, crude and juvenile. Instead what I got was a very professional setting along with professional employees. No more «Hey man, check out this new strain. It’ll blow your mind» or getting a joint that’s laced with something. I got an experience more in line to buying a pack of cigarettes, except with a bit longer of a line.
I do not know the typical price for weed, but everything was reasonably priced. The employees were very friendly and open to the fact that this was a special occasion for me, and that I know absolutely nothing about marijuana. I also felt like they did me fair and weren’t trying to rip me off, or put me down for being a square.
Overall a very pleasurable experience. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in need of some… stuff.

I have been to Nectar as a caregiver to acquire medication for a person who is permanently disabled and an OMMP patient. I am really shocked and disappointed with how physically inaccessible the Mississippi location is for alter-​abled people. There is no way for anyone in a power chair, wheelchair, or walker to get inside, or a handrail *if* they can make it out of their chairs and devices for stairs. No ramp anywhere.
If that wasn’t enough there is a backdoor from the parking lot that has two stairs and a handrail and could be potentially an access for people, certainly it’d be an improvement over 7 – 9 stairs with no handrail. I brought up my concern to the employees present and they said they often had to bring people their medication to their cars due to these obstacles.
I referred someone to Nectar Mississippi who is an OMMP patient at a time when I had not been to this location, the other two being much more accessible. They went in to purchase medication. Because they are physically alter abled the only way they could enter this business was to CRAWL up the front stairs, in full view of passing Mississippi traffic, humiliated and ignored by a business that claims to cater to them specifically as a MEDICAL client. What is the point of having a medical vs. recreational side of a store saving all the high CBD medicine for people in pain if many of the medical patients have NO way to access the space? This is so far from ADA standards that it’s appalling. Shame on you Nectar.
It is absolutely indefensible to have medical clients *crawling on their hands and knees* to patronize this establishment. Additionally, from a business perspective, they are going to need hand rails and ramps just to not get lawsuits from able bodied people slipping in the rainy season. I suggest that if you care as a human being about the lived experiences of alter abled people you should express concern to the management and not patronize Mississippi Nectar until they are accessible. There are plenty of other dispensaries in this saturated city that respect *all* of their clients massively more than this.

Killer selection of recreational & medical. Professional staff and knowledgeable bud tenders. The selection is large and rotates often. I tend to dig Indica’s and they’ve provided me with the best quality flower I’ve had in ages. Super good pre-​roll selection too and way better pricing than anywhere else I’ve been.
