History

Established in 2007.

We started Neat Nix Carpet Care in 2007, after spending three and a half years working with my brother in Arizona. The Northwest always held a special place in our hearts, and we always new we would live here. The move was made easier when half of my wife’s family moved to Portland,

I will never have anyone else but Neat Nix clean my couches or rugs/​carpets. They are very thorough, efficient and professional. They took steps throughout the process to leave my house better than they found it by being aware of where they ran hoses and protecting my wood floors while moving about with their equipment. Not to mention they are very friendly and affordable.

Called and spoke with Nick right away. Very friendly and enthusiastic about his work. Came just a couple days later and thoroughly cleaned our upstairs carpet in the new house we moved into. No up sells, no gimmicks. Just fast and efficient and kind folks. Reasonably priced. $ 220 for 2 bedrooms, upstairs hallway, 3 sizable closets and stairs.

I used to own a carpet cleaning service years ago so I’m very picky but Nick was fantastic in all respects. His state of the art equipment was top notch. The carpets looked brand new and dried very quickly. He wore plastic booties when walking on the clean carpet to apply scotch guard and rake and left a pair for all household members so we could get around while the carpets were drying. I highly recommend him!

I hired Nick to clean and seal my grout, which had never been sealed and was very stained. Nick cleaned and sealed the grout for a very fair price — $ 900 less than what I had been quoted elsewhere. He even charged less than what he originally quoted since he said the grout didn’t turn out to be as clean as I had hoped (mostly because of the years of staining, which wasn’t Nick’s fault). He was very efficient, honest, friendly and affordable. I highly recommend him!

Nick and his team did an excellent job of cleaning our carpets prior to our move in. Quick, prompt, thorough, fair pricing — couldn’t ask for more. Our painter spilled blue paint on our carpet and their carpet guy only got some of it up. Figuring it was a wash (and the painter will replace the carpet) but Nick arrived 3 days later and got 90% of the stain up. Impressive work.

I wanted to clean my carpets, but had forgotten until late one weekend night. I looked up Neat Nix on Unilocal and decided I would put a call into them just to leave a message so they would call me back during the week. To my surprise Nick answered the phone, promptly scheduled me in for a week later, arrived when he said he would arrive, did a fantastic and professional job cleaning my 3 rooms of carpet. They even got out a large stain that two other professional cleaners could not get out! I did not even expect they would be able to do that? Quick, prompt, professional, and I got more than I expected.

Nik was GREAT! He and his employee (Greg I believe) arrived exactly when they were scheduled to, and they were both very friendly and professional. I hired him to clean my light colored sectional that I have had for a couple of years. Not only did they do an AMAZING job of cleaning it, but it took them well under an hour and his rates are very affordable as well.

Nick and his partner in carpet cleaning crime did a great job cleaning the carpets of our home here. They made scheduling easy and the place is so much better now. Nick is a nice guy and he works carefully but efficiently so we were not put out for very long. Plus they use only green stuff which is critical for me and my fam which includes our pup, I won’t have him breathing nasty chemicals.

Nick and Gary were fast, courteous and professional. The work they did was exactly what I had hoped for (I honestly had no idea that the grout in my kitchen was that light a colour!) and they charged less than my original quote and exactly what they estimated on arrival. They protected the other floors and walls of my house. They arrived exactly on time. Nick even communicated with me strictly via email, per my request, since I work night shifts. You have no idea how many businesses ignore me when I ask not to be called! Couldn’t ask for anything more!
When he had finished, Nick did ask me to write a review if I was able, but at no time did he make any suggestion that it be a positive review, he simply asked that I rate the service so others can see the kind of work they do.
I would definitely recommend Nick and his crew.

I chose neat nix based on the great reviews on Unilocal.They did show up on time, we’re very courteous. I showed them the upstairs rooms that needed to be cleaned. There was an area where makeup had been spilled, was told they would do their best. Regarding old pet stains, there wasn’t much they could do, which I was aware of as I had had the carpet cleaned approximately eight months ago with the same results. The carpet in General was dirty, given the fact that we use the upstairs sitting room quit a bit. Was given a price, based on my needs, with discounts given as I was a new customer. They started work.
After they were finished, the work initially looked good, however, after the carpet dried it was obvious that the sitting room carpet was not cleaned sufficiently. They did a great job on the makeup, but the area in front of the T. V. was still rather dirty.
Disappointing.

Nick and his crew arrived at 9 AM as promised. Nick and I did a home walk through while he measured the rooms. He did all the figuring on his tablet and let me know the exact cost. I then left the crew to work their magic on our home which is going up for sale soon. When I returned the next day it looked like new carpet had been installed. The carpet nap was fluffy and stains I had despaired over were gone! The crew had taken care to move furniture and put carpet protectors under the feet of heavier objects to ensure any paint or stain wouldn’t transfer to the clean carpet. I wish I had discovered Neat Nix years before rather than continuing to use a nationally branded steam cleaning company! Neat Nix charges a fair price for excellent services!!! Highly recommended!!!

I found Neat Nix Carpet Care on Unilocal.Based on the reviews of satisfied customers previous who had left reviews, So I called up and Nick set up an appointment with me.
The appointment was the following week. I told Nick I wouldn’t be there but my mother in law would be and I also mentioned to him how a big name company starting with an S had come in previous to clean our carpets before we moved in and by the time they left, they had taken advantage of me not being there. Charged my mother in law over a $ 1000 to clean an empty house. He told me I could pay him after «I» saw the job done and I didnt ask him to give me that option so I felt even more secure about using this company after this.
Nick came on the day of our appointment and was in communication with me about a little time delay. He came in, cleaned our stairs, landing and hallway upstairs. It was a great job and the carpets look brand new. I am very pleased and will be using this company again and again.

Truth in advertising? Don’t believe a word of those videos!!!
After reading all the great reviews here, I called Nix. I had some really nasty stains in my carpet in the basement of my house. It’s a large room that’s about 35 feet by 18 feet. He quoted me that it would be around $ 250 to $ 300, possibly more. And, ‘As long as it’s not motor oil, I can get them clean’ he stated.
Well, they showed up and he stated, ‘There’s nothing I can do to clean this carpet’, and left.
So, after a trip to Home Depot, two bottles of Zep Carpet cleaner, a scrub brush, some intense carpet scrubbing and the rental of a Rug Doctor, my carpets are clean!
So, Nix get’s one star for saving me about $ 200. And that’s only because Unilocal doesn’t offer zero stars… thanks for nothing!!!
Trust me… try somebody else. Nix is worthless!

I hate it that I am just now posting this, but my client needed his carpet cleaned desperately and Nick did an outstanding job (was about a month ago!). Not only was he professional, hard working, but also honest and upfront about all pricing. He worked quickly and meticulously. This was a huge ranch home with lots of stains (pets) when Nick left, it was like a brand new carpet!

This is the second year I have had Nick come in to clean my carpeting and a couple area rugs. Just like last time, he did a first-​rate job. My carpets, which had gotten pretty nasty, are now spotless and smell great. Beyond the actual cleaning, he and his assistant Gary are totally professional and very friendly. These are people that you will feel comfortable having in your home.
Scheduling was easy and its clear that he cares about his customer’s time. Not only is he punctual, but he is finished when (or before) he says that he will be. And, it goes without saying that he honors his estimates. The downside is that this sets a standard that most other service providers won’t live up to!
Believe all the five star reviews — Nick is terrific!
