Naegeli Deposition and Trial

I’ve been a paralegal in the Portland metro area for 16 years and have used many court reporting services in the area. Naegeli is hands down the best in the business. I’ve had to make last minute arrangements and often, last minute changes and they never even flinch! The boss likes to have a familiar face for the court reporter, so they created a «first choice» list especially for him. Now, that’s customer service! And they have very competitive pricing; in many cases less cost than smaller firms or solos offered me!

Naegeli’s IT/​Trial team did a fantastic job for us on a project that required very quick turnaround. Can’t thank Don and Andrew enough for their research skills and ability to provide a quality end product within the budget we set. Thank you!

Love this firm!!! My office has used Naegeli Deposition and Trial many times. Their rates are comparable with the other firms in town, but they have the most pleasant people to work with. I love how they are always available on short notice and able to make changes on extremely short notice. I have had many jobs that have required special attention (not just deposition). I recall one special copy job that I was trying to get a price quote on and Marsha Naegeli called me directly! That’s service!!! The «swag» you receive when working with them is great too!

Naegeli (pronounced Nag-​lee) is by far the most professional court reporting firm I have had the pleasure of doing business with. From the initial call to schedule the deposition to hand delivery of the transcripts with synced audio files, my needs were taken care of and every question I had was answered promptly and thoroughly. They provide one case manager which I found to be extremely helpful as well. I also received $ 50 off and was happily surprised when the invoice arrived. These guys must have the best rates in Portland. I can’t recommend Naegeli enough.

Naegeli Deposition and Trial is by far the most outstanding company when it comes to court reporting, videography, videoconferencing and trial presentation. I would not even consider going into any major litigation without fully utilizing their services.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances (aka None of your business thankyouverymuch) I was in need of their services. They came highly recommended from a few different sources due to comparable rates and top-​notch staff.
Without revealing too much, I can say I’d recommend the services provided here as well. I felt that my needs were met-​and the staff was professional and reliable.

I’m not sure why Rachel H or Bob J (whose review has been removed and not recommended by Unilocal… If that tells you something) say they had such a bad time with them. I recently came across Naegeli and I have definitely seen their rate sheets. Their hourly rates for appearance fees and costs of transcripts per page etc. are all in writing, hard copies in print and indisputable. If you call their phone number anytime of day literally someone will answer ²⁴⁄₇. It should not be that hard to get a hold of their staff; they’re always available and prepared to answer any questions or concerns.
I did used to hear from attorneys that Naegeli was the highest but they have dramatically dropped their rates and now I think they are pretty much the lowest in the whole North West. With such dedication to excellent customer service, quality and affordability, I would say give them a shot.
One note: they are located in «the big pink building» so you might want to park next-​door above the Enterprise car rental place, or on the street for cheaper parking.

I have worked with many other legal support firms and was never content. I then stumbled upon Naegeli’s doors and decided to give them my legal affairs. They were highly thorough and timely with everything I needed. I will never use anyone else. The environment was very peaceful and the employees were friendly and precise.

We had some issues with the way this company did transcription for us. They did not follow instructions; then their invoice was significantly higher than anticipated. My administrative staff then spent more than an hour (?!) on the phone multiple times in discussion with various staff members trying to understand the bill, without a satisfying end result. The owner of the company was stubborn and defensive. While she offered a tiny reduction in our final bill it was not worth the fight we had to put up to get any measure of resolution.
The entire interaction left a really bad taste in my mouth and I would caution others from working with a company whose customer service seems severely lacking.
