We had a corporate event for our new office space. Brett was extremely engaged in the quote process, planning process and execution process.
The Event was WONDERFUL and we were all so very impressed with the staff, the professionalism and the timing of it all! It went off perfectly! I couldn’t have asked for anything better!
We will for sure use My Bartender for future events! Brett made it the process very easy and his food recommendations were perfect! Our guests loved the variety.
Again, top notch service, classy and everything as expected! So impressed! My Bartender is doing something right in providing this kind of service to customers, and hiring the right people to execute such a great event.

I’ve used Brett and his team at My Bartender for 3 years now for my annual cinco de mayo party and I’m always impressed with his team. They are always on time or even early (which severely relieves my stress before the party), they set up and take down all their stuff, take suggestions, and even help out where needed before the event! Rose was our bartender this year and we had «rave reviews» from our party guests! This year Brett called me proactively, sent me the contract from the prior year, and as the party date was closer, we confirmed arrangements — super easy for a busy person. Thanks Brett, Rose and Team!

I just celebrated my 50^th birthday and we hired My Bartender for the event. AMAZING! !! Carlos was great. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The party was at our home and the set up was great. The cleaners up was even better. The place was spotless when Carlos left. He was a real hit. I will hire My Bartender for future parties.

We hired MyBartender for our small wedding of 75 with the intent of specifically separating the catering and alcohol service for our reception. Leading up to our wedding, coordinating the details and contract/​paperwork specifics was easy and flexible.
I was most disappointed with their service following the event and that is what my review is based upon.
We had to purchase wine through our venue and had MyBartender handle the beer and champagne because of their buyback options. At the end of the night all of the leftover wine, which was not part of MyBartender’s contract, was taken from the venue without any prior communication with us. Upon calling the following week, Maya informed me that she directed the bartenders to take the wine back to their warehouse along with the beer/​champagne, without letting us know before hand and after I’d told her the week prior to leave the wine for us to take home. So we were left at the end of the night wondering where all the wine had gone…
There was also a vast miscommunication about a bottle of wine purchased for the B&G that was set aside. MyBartender was given direction from the venue’s event coordinator that the bottle was specifically for the B&G, but we never got to enjoy it that night. Following up after the event I was told that the bartenders don’t remember anything being specified about a special bottle and that it was likely unfortunately served to the guests (a bottle 3x the cost of what guests were supposed to be served). When we tried to resolve the missing bottle of expensive wine between MyBartender and the venue, all I received was he said/​she said and «so I’m told» remarks and excuses. Thankfully the venue was willing to work with us to resolve the issue and offer us compensation.
The follow up after the event left much to be desired. I never even got a phone call back after initially reaching out regarding our complaints, instead I received several emails – which came off to me as them trying to avoid a potentially confrontational phone call – so unprofessional.
I don’t expect perfection by any means. But when I hire a bartending company to specifically handle the alcohol service of a smaller than typical event for them that should have been a breeze, I expect far better and for any issues to be handled professionally.
Due to their poor management of the post event issues I won’t be using them again, and won’t be suggesting them to any friends or events. I wish I could rewind and have our catering company manage the bartending service instead!

Great company. Easy to work with, straight forward paperwork, and very accommodating. They worked hard to put together a special signature cocktail. They made all the decisions easy for me. On site the bartender knew his stuff. Everyone enjoyed him.

I hired My Bartenders last week for a networking event, they were so easy to work with — handled various aspects of the event like tables, linens, trash receptacles and obviously the bartending.
Extremely courteous and professional staff, I couldn’t be happier with their service. Everyone had a fantastic time.

We had an amazing wedding and reception that would not have been possible without My Bartender and Maya. Great value and well defined costs in their contract. Maya was also very flexible and adjusted a few things for us just a day or two before our wedding (thanks so much, Maya!).

We host an annual holiday or new years eve party at our house. We have between 40 and a 100 people depending on the year. My Bartender has been serving the cocktails for 4 or 5 years. This year Matt was the bartender. As always, they did a great job. They were timely and professional while still being fun. I recommend this company!

My Bartender truly is as good as it gets. I’ve used them for two events now and their service is exceptional, their staff is amazing and they do exactly what you need them to do for events, fix problems on the fly. They’re professional, friendly and they know what they’re doing. I won’t go with anyone else. Adore them.

Used them for a company party and they were awesome. Professional, nice and provide great service. We will definitely be using them again for future events! Our bartender was Matt and he was great! Highly recommend. I was worried they might need hand holding during the course of our business transactions, but everyone was really proactive and they really know their business! We hired My Bartender for our wedding and could not have been happier with every aspect of their service. From tweaking the menu options during the lead up to the wedding, to excellent day of service, they made everything easy and smooth. Many of our guests commented on how friendly the service was. I’ve used My Bartender for the last couple of years for corporate events and am always pleased. they’re reliable, friendly, very professional, and the pricing is reasonable. I know of no other bar service that comes to any venue you need with all the supplies you’ll need (so no extra rentals). it’s always great customer service and I’ve never had a complaint.

We used My Bartender for our wedding a couple weeks ago. They were amazing. I was extremely impressed with the pre-​wedding preparation and thoroughness. They were very professional and it could not have gone any smoother. I would highly recommend them for an event, and will be using them again if the opportunity arises. I got married this past March 2014 and My Bartender was by far one of the best things about the wedding, especially for me the bride– as I was planning things. We rented out a venue that typically wasn’t used for weddings, but the My Bartender team made it work like a charm. They only came into the venue once to scope out the set-​up, made a helpful recommendation about where they thought the bar would best serve and that was it. They came in on the wedding day on time, set-​up everything so quickly and made it match our simple wedding scheme at minimal cost! It was so great.
We were able to buy all of the alcohol ourselves (which probably wasn’t worth it), and then they let us drop it off at their office so that they brought it to the wedding. That was a huge help! They also have an option where you can buy all of the alcohol through them, or they have a buy-​back option. They are super flexible in pricing and want to do what is best for you!
The bar was super seemless, they made sure that they had enough bartenders to keep a wedding of 300 happy. And they also went around to everyone before the toast to fill up their champagne glasses. My only regret was that they filled up our champagne glasses around 20 minutes to early, but that is really just a timing detail that needs to be worked out with your coordinator — so make sure to remember that detail! Still so nice that they went around and did that, I didn’t think that would be part of the package.
All in all, we were able to get our dream bar for the cost we wanted and were SO happy with the service. Everything went SO smoothly and was so easy. I couldn’t believe that the service AND the price was so great. Maya is the best to work with! She is so organized and fun to work with. I highly recommend My Bartender for your wedding!

We used My Bartender for our wedding, and I can’t say enough good things about the professionalism of the bartenders and the event staff.
Maya, our planner, was truly amazing. She was on top of everything for the event. She even arrived to make sure everything got kicked off on the right foot.
The day of the event went extremely smoothly. We had a specialty cocktail, 6 different wines, two different beers, and to top that off, champagne for the bridal party only, and whiskey for the groomsmen. They handled all the complexity perfectly.
Because every wedding has it’s «moment,» one of our keg pumps went bad right before the ceremony, there was no way to get a replacement, so one of the bartenders were pumping out glasses of beer from one keg, then switching the working pump to keep up with demand.
The next day as my new bride and I awoke, one of the very first things she said was that one of the Bartenders, Alex, had spent the majority of the night checking on her, picking up her special glass and making sure it was full and in her hand, even though she had left it behind during nearly every conversation. It had made her feel very special, and I can’t say how much that means to us.
PS — My Bartender was EXTREMELY clear that they would be carding our guests. I’m disappointed that other reviewers don’t understand that MyBartender’s business is built on their liquor license. They did a great job of carding our folks just once and remembering everyone after the fact. Because MyBartender was clear about this requirement WAY before the wedding, we told all of our guests to arrive with their ID.

Hired My Bartender for our wedding, in a remote location near Mt. Hood, for the summer of 2013. The account manager was great to work with leading up to the event. Unfortunately that’s where the story goes south. Guests were aggressively ID’ed for the first few hours of our ceremony. Keep in mind that all guests, minus the flower girl and ring bearer, were well of age (bride and groom 31 and 28 respectively). This could have been easily avoided if the My Bartender staff made mention of their strict IDing policy leading up to the event, but in typical wedding fashion many guests left their ID’s at their hotels since we bussed guests back and forth to avoid driving. Multiple guests reported rude encounters with staff, and in a particularly egregious move, when one of our guests tried to get a glass of wine for my 85 year old grandmother, the bar tender refused and made her come to the bar to get it herself! The excuse given afterwards was OLCC random checks. I can assure you, especially after talking to the event owners, no OLCC inspectors were going to stop by Parkdale OR on a Saturday in August for a wedding.
If you’re reading this review, you’re either shelling out a ton of money for your own wedding, or arranging a corporate event for someone else. If you’re spending your own money, my advice is to keep shopping, or ask to meet the staff who will be working your event ahead of time and lay out clear expectations. We were not a challenging group by any means. This event should have been a total layup for My Bartender. Instead they left a really poor impression with guests on what was otherwise a fantastic day.
One note: I relayed all of this feedback to Sean the owner afterwards and he promised to change My Bartender’s policies and clearly lay out the ID expectations with future clients. Look at this one of two ways: either they’re trying to improve, or you’re about to have the only event/​wedding where bartenders are vigilant about checking IDs. While I appreciate his openness to feedback, the bottom line is that My Bartender royally missed with our event. Considering the expense, the importance of the day, and the rude and unprofessional service they provided, it was completely inexcusable. My advice is learn from our experience and look elsewhere.

I have used My Bartender on several occasions for weddings and personal parties. Their bartenders are always on time and come equipped with everything needed, and — most importantly — the knowledge on how to serve various drinks and serve them quickly. I have even called them 2 days before an event and they mobilized quickly and got everything I needed, even picked up product which was not originally part of the plan. Flexible, accommodating, and professional. I will definitely use them again.

I attended a wedding and the couple used this company. The venue had no air conditioning and they were told by this company they would set up two mobile bars for them as part of their package. One inside and one outside.
There was only one set up, inside. The line was horrendous after the ceremony. It took 45 minutes for it to clear up. Due to the heat we all moved migrated outside. I looked for the bar outside and was then told they only set up the one location.
I personally would not recommend this company.

We were referred to My Bartender by the facility manager at the North Star Ballroom, where we held our wedding reception in July of 2013, and were extremely pleased with their performance before, during, and after the big day.
We worked with Brett Soulek who was patient, helpful, and flexible throughout the entire process. We never felt compelled to pick one level of service over another and always received clear communication about pricing and the day-​of schedule.
Brett helped me breakdown the amount of drinks needed to satisfy our large, lively group of guests and never sniffed or attempted to upsell when we opted to purchase our own simpler (cheaper) table wine instead of the nicer, moderately priced cases they offer. The level of customer service never wavered.
The bartenders that worked our wedding reception were professional and friendly, and handled any special requests with ease. We heard nothing but praise for their work that night.
It’s true, paying for all your friends n’ family to drink for free for an evening is not a cheap endeavor. With MyBartender though, we were helped every step of the way and were given the freedom and flexibility to make sure the drink service fit our event, our guests, and our budget to a tee.
I would recommend them to anyone looking for professional drink service for events of any size.
