The space and the drink selection are truly great. Unfortunately, very rude and condescending bartenders dominate the staff. I live in the neighborhood but this is not my bar. I am made to feel not welcome here.

The food is okay(standard pub fare) and the brunch burger usually hits the spot. Taplist is good and sometimes has some really good choices. Service is generally good to excellent(especially on weekend mornings when the bartender both serves and cooks and she does all with a smile on her face. It’s downright impressive.)

Great service, friendly & very sweet bar tender and chef. He went out of his way to make sure everything was good and it was nice to chat with him. Drinks were inexpensive and made with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Burger was delicious and the tots were spot on with the secret sauce. Love that this place it’s close to home. We’ll definitely be back!

Most bars in town dress up their hamburgers, so that they appear to have variety and thus the restaurant appears to be creative and fun. But being able to choose from twenty burgers doesn’t mean a thing if the bun falls apart under the load of all the creative, wacky ingredients, and you’re left with a soupy mess. McPeet’s builds a burger properly. I enjoyed a brunch burger, with mayo, fried egg, bacon, etc, and enjoyed every bite. By all expectations, I thought it would crumble apart the moment I picked it up. But no, it was a sensible, delicious, structurally sound burger that I was able to eat and handle comfortably. The folks who work here are friendly, capable, and proud of their food, as they should be. Their menu is smart and easy and basic, and as a result, their food simply works. It’s bar food that is quite good. Enjoy.

Been coming to this family establishment for almost 5 years. Really good feel everytime and not your typical halfwelcoming service. Food keeps getting better over the years and the staff primarily consists of happy to do friends rather than bartenders. Keep in mind it is a staple on Fremont and is constantly improving it’s atmosphere. More than 15 beers on tap for this smaller but homey location is plenty fine for all taste buds. Thanks for the continual great environment all around.

I love this little neighborhood bar. They have a great beer selection, stiff well drinks and always have the sound up when The Blazers are playing!

The burger is great and they always seem to have a good selection of beers on tap so I can forgive the occasionally disinterested bartenders who prefer to chit chat with the regulars than tend bar. Seems like a hangout for the recently of-age neighborhood crowd who can be a bit obnoxious after their kickball matches. Unfortunately, the last time we tried to watch the Blazer game we were informed that we’d have to do so without sound since Monday Night football was on. Really? We need to hear Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati over Mike and Mike? I guess y’all forgot you have a neon«Ripcity» sign out front. Disappointing, but we’ll come back once football season is over.

I have walked past McPeet’s on many occasion since living here in Beaumont-Wilshire but never had the opportunity to venture in. A neighborhood bar with a decent burger. It was walking past and smelling the grilled meat that made me finally go on in. I got there right at happy hour(4−7pm) and my pint of Pyramid Red Ale was only $ 3.75. There were several at the bar but for the most part the tables were all empty. Slowly the place started filling up. I got my food order in prior to the people coming in. I ordered the Brunch Burger. $ 9. A burger with lettuce, red onion, special sauce, bacon and a fried egg with fries. The burger was not bad. They seasoned it up great and the sauce was pretty good too. The burger was a little more done than I usually like and the egg, which I thought would either be sunny side or over easy so the yolk could run, was over well and got lost on the burger. The fries were good and they had«Fry Sauce» on the table which was a kicked up Thousand Island dressing with, I think, some horseradish in it. The place looked like a typical bar with bar signage, more burgers, sandwiches, a the usual app suspects on the menu and a dive feel to it. I like it, and I could see relaxing with a frosty beverage here more often. Enjoy.

Never had a bad experience at McPeets… full bar, good beer, really good bar grub… I like it! It’s close to home, it’s homey, it’s fun, and affordable!

The neighborhood pub. I like it, there are tables outside to hangout in the summer, and its nice inside to watch baseball/soccer too. They always have a game on one of the screens. The food is bar food, but they usually have a nice selection of Oregon beer to choose from. The service is always great when I go in, and everything just feels… pleasant? Also pool there is only a quarter a play. Can’t beat that really. Its my favorite place on Fremont to drink, it is an easy place to feel at home.

I’m saving that last star for when I try the food, but so far I’m loving this neighborhood joint. The bartender was great and the beer was cold and didn’t taste like it was being poured from taps that haven’t been cleaned in ages. The place is super clean and noticeably tidy and warm, but still very pub-ish. I’m looking forward to making this my regular bar. We are fairly new to the neighborhood and still trying to find our favorite spots. This is one of them! Thank you for being so nice and for taking such good care of your customers!

Revamped local dive bar that now has some flavor to it. They have a sleek tin bar top and cool tables throughout. The beer is extra cold from the new tap system they just got. The beer and alcohol selection is pretty good, always rotating. Although I do wish they would keep Mac & Jacks flowing all the time. The bathrooms could use a little work. Their food menu has drastically improved and I really enjoy a couple of the new items. The outside seating is great for people watching in the summer

Cool little neighborhood(not my neighborhood) bar that some friends and I stopped into to have a few pitchers and catch the end of one of the March madness games. Seemed like it would be a cool place to have in my neighborhood, but sadly it isn’t. Unless I moved to this neighborhood which I don’t think will be happening anytime soon. Goodnight.

As I live right down the street, I’ve come here on many an occasion. It is unpretentious, has games [video games, pool, AND board games], and it never really that busy. The service is OK. never particularly friendly, sometimes have to wait while the bartender is at the end of the bar chatting to a friend, but never been particularly BAD service. Typical drinks and prices, typical greasy bar food… just a good go-to place. Oh yeah… and the sign is awesome.

McPeets. On warm nights, you provide picnic tables and booze and nice bartenders. On Chilly nights, the atmosphere is inviting, fun and reliable. Jenga! Close to home. Unpretentious. Cheap. Nice.

I heart McPeets. A short bike ride from our hood, McPeets is our destination for a Saturday and/or Sunday afternoon drink and/or drinks. They recently upgraded from plastic seating out front to new wood benches with umbrella’s! So fancy. The foot and car traffic on Fremont is consistent and entertaining. Th sign is probably the best thing about McPeets. Classic and cool.
