Probably the worst attempt at Hawaiian food I’ve ever had. Kahlua pig was dry. Spam musubi was just rice in the container with«Spam»(I actually don’t think it’s real spam, tastes like the cheaper, knock off version) and a slice of seaweed on top. Wasn’t formed at all, and no sauce. I’m not even basing my rating on the two hour delivery time… the food was just bad.

Worst $ 16 I’ve ever spent! Rice chipped my tooth it was so hard and there was grease throughout the bottom of my dish. I got the teriyaki and didn’t expect it to be wonderful, but I didn’t think it’d chip my tooth and make me feel ill.

Never ever again. I got two Teriyaki Chicken plates. The chicken and rice was so dry, even my kids wouldn’t touch it. The mac salad isn’t even mac salad. Didn’t touch that either. The delivery driver didn’t even ask if I needed change. Just took my money and ran down the stairs to his car. Very disappointed and I will not ever recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered some of their teriyaki chicken through grubhub and it was great! There aren’t very many delivery options in this town besides Thai and pizza, so i appreciate the service. The rice was a little bland, it didn’t really taste like coconut rice, but the chicken was great!

We had him cater Shave Ice for my daughter’s birthday party this last weekend, and he was fantastic! It was a hit at the party – not just for the kids but also for the adults! He arrived on time, was friendly and courteous to everyone, and even learned some of the«frequent flyers’ «names. And of course, delicious too!

The man had a really bad attitude and didn’t want to discuss his options. We decided to go to the Angry Unicorn instead.

El Rubio running the cart recently transformed this from a Filipino-based cart, to a Hawaiian one. Based on the impressive results of Asian fusion seen all over the planet, basically, at this point, it’s not clear why this one needs to be «just» one ethnic theme or another. Apparently, the sales just weren’t happening on the Filipino tip, so a couple months ago he decided to make the switch. It is a limited menu at MK, but at least they do offer the glorious Loco Moco, the ultimate Heavyweight Champion of hot plates. He is generous with the gravy, and even offers grilled onions now and again, on request. He is also learning the fine art of Musubi, and if you don’t give him too much crap about the roughness around the edges, they are plenty tasty, with a generous slab o’ SPAM. Hopefully he will add furikake as an option, sometime soon. Shave Ice seems to be the main event, front and center for this cart, and though I do love the culture and the food, I just seem tp have been able to control the hysteria which the shave ice, especially w/the ice cream and da bean, seems to reliably excite in certain segments of society. Much luck to the folks bringing the Mauna Kea love. Hoping to see Lomi lomi salmon, chicken long rice, Korean style short ribs, etc etc on the menu soon!!! Mahalo!
