History

Established in 1984.

On December 23, 1984, David Ness cleared out his garage in north Portland, and began what is now known as Matrix Networks. Back then it was a one man operation, and he was the «Phone Guy.» His determination in giving his customers the best service possible, and his knack for troubleshooting created a loyal following. Before long, he had enough customers to require bringing on a team of technicians, and Matrix Networks was born.

Business Owner

David Ness is a native Oregonian who grew up in Portland and attended the University of Portland. David is the sole owner of Matrix Networks. David started Matrix as a one-​man business and has built it into the Corporation that it is today.

Bringing 25 years of passion in telecommunications, David is a hands-​on President who is often found out in the trenches. This material involvement provides an even greater appreciation for the changes that are taking place now and that will take place in the future.

David has participated in a number of Limited Energy Apprenticeship Boards and Councils, and has taught telecommunication classes at Clark Community College. Additionally he donates to various charities in both time and money. David holds his Limited Energy License in both Oregon and Washington and numerous technical certifications on many different phone systems.
