Mark Fenske – Country Financial Representative

Mark seems like a nice guy.
I’ve just moved here from Denver and have been a Country Insurance client for over 10 years. I wanted to move my polices up here to Portland, I got Mark through the Country main office (800#).
I met with Mark and thought he understood what I wanted. It was difficult to communicate with him, he seemed to have made up his own mind about what I needed (not what I wanted or asked for) and made everything way harder than it needed to be. I have no idea why.
Mark wanted to sell me his financial services when I wanted my insurance needs met. He seemed disappointed when I said I wasn’t interested in his financial planning services. Had he accomplished MY needs first, I might have been interested in what else he had, but having botched my insurance needs, I don’t trust him with anything else.
I had to finally call the executive customer service number at the home office to get someone to understand all I wanted was the same policy I had had for 10 years moved to Portland — they had no problem with that and made it happen.
Clearly we weren’t a match. I hope he does better for his other clients.
I have been pleased with Country Insurance for the past 10 years — they handle my house, cars and business. They have always been professional and good to work with.
