Meet the Business Owner
Mama Leos R.
Business Owner
Throughout their 20 years of friendship, two friends from Colombia and Venezuela respectively, decided to combine their efforts to make their dream come true of opening a food establishment where Portlanders are able to indulge in some of the most popular dishes from their home countries. Diana started cooking when she was 13 years old and has since discovered many ways to please the palates of those around her. On the other hand, Carolina has developed a great sensibility for combining flavors and putting together all the pieces of the puzzle as part of her experience as a human resources manager and career planner. With Diana’s daughter married and Carolina’s son in college, it was a perfect time to re-evaluate their opportunities for doing something completely different. In May 2013 they opened the first Colombian & Venezuelan restaurant in Portland Oregon with the intention of creating a place where people could sit down, relax, listen to music and enjoy a delicious homemade meal.
