I was just passing by Lucy and a pair of pants in the window caught my eye. I decided to pop in and check out the price. At first I had sticker shock but then the sales woman named Megan came to assist me. She was super knowledgeable and honest with me. Also she told me when she brought her first pair she was hesitant too because of the price but didn’t hesitate to buy a 2^nd or 3^rd pair after that. Usually sales people say what you want to hear but Megan was being honest with me! Best pants of my life! Thank you Megan, I’ll be back!

I have shopped at the Pearl District Lucy store in Portland Oregon for several years. Lucy products are excellent quality and the designers have really upped their game in the past couple of years. Customer service is key in attracting and keeping buyers and Lucy does not disappoint. My regular gals, Karen and Kelley are fantastic and I appreciate their consistently personal attention. But I would like to mention my experience at the Lucy Washington Square store also. Kelley located a top for me at the sister store and I purchased over the phone. I didn’t have time to get out there during the busy Christmas holidays and the clerk (I don’t know her name unfortunately) OFFERED to ship it for free with two day service. What a bonus! Yay Lucy for great clothing and outstanding customer service!

I really wanted to like this place, however, was immediately turned off by the pushy sales person who asked me what seemed to be like a million lifestyle questions. Not to be friendly but you can tell that it was the way that she has been trained to try and do a sales pitch. I am the type of person in which I like to browse, serve myself and if I need assistance, I ask. I like the flow of conversation to happen naturally between myself and the person at the store. I don’t like feeling as though I am filling in a survey so that something can be customized and be offered to me. As for as the actual product is concerned, they are awesome. I was busy reading the detergent for washing the active wear, however, was constantly being disrupted by the pushy sales lady that could not take a hint to leave me alone so that I could read the label and see if the product is right for me.

Overpriced, overrated, pushy salespeople! Would not shop here again. Return policy is ridiculous! I can get the same quality, better service and a fantastic return policy at Nordstroms

I’m admittedly a lululemon fanatic but lucy is a great contender. Clothes are pretty cute and the girls that work there are so nice! They also have great sales. Honestly their shorts are about $ 10 cheaper than lululemon shorts but arguably even cuter (built in spandex under the shorts in colorful combinations)…love!

I wish I had gotten the name of the girl who helped me. She was awesome! I’ve never worn Lucy before and she helped me find the perfect pants for hot yoga. I am so excited about my find! The staff greeted me upon entry and were so helpful when I asked about sizing and fits. She checked on me in the fitting room and gave me other suggestions. She also didn’t push the most expensive things on me. She was respectful of my budget. The store was clean, organized, and welcoming. It was brightly lit and easy to maneuver. There is nothing worse than an overcrowded store and this was most definitely not. I couldn’t be more happy with my experience in the store and I will definitely be back to this location as well as the ones closer to me up here in Seattle.

I am wearing Lucy pants and a jacket as I type this. Their sizing is consistent and accurate which is so great because I really hate trying things on. Lucy always has colors that I love and quality fabrics. I wish their prices were a little lower, but shopping the sale rack can sometimes find you a nice deal. The sales people are very helpful but can lay it on a little thick at times. I am not a fan of someone commenting about every garment I touch. I prefer to be left alone to shop and think.

I’ve been drawn into this particular Lucy twice for some bizarre reason, I know not why. Both times I have been in here, I feel like Julia Roberts in «Pretty Woman», encountering the unconscionably nasty and aloof designer retail harpies of Rodeo Drive. Perhaps my ‘vibe’ just does not jive with that of these types of people. I swear, every time I want them to leave me alone just so I can get a closer look at how special their $ 80 stretch pants are, they are right there breathing down my neck and the next moment when I have a question, they’re far too engrossed in some type of empty idle chit-​chat to take a break and humor me. No thank you. I’m sure I’m better off without their formaldehyde-​soaked ‘fineries’.

Lulu quality items for half the price and an American company, which — I’m no huge patriot or anything, but it feels good to support local. Right down to the in-​store yoga classes, Lucy is the PNW version of Ms. Lemon to a t.
Helpful sales girls (yeah, I’m pretty sure they work on commission, but a sturdy ‘I’m just looking’ always worked for me!) who will start dressing rooms and make recommendations even if you’re the kind to head straight for the sales rack. I found a great pair of pants for under $ 40 and I was still treated like I spent $ 400, which is a rare rare happening in this part of town.
The pants have held up really well after 2 – 3 years of constant abuse. The bottoms aren’t even frayed which happens to all my athletic gear (nike, mountain hardwear, prana) it seems. It is kind of weird that they sell other brands in the store, but maybe it just proves they are confident their brand holds up to competition?
I want another pair, but I am scared to order online although the website has a good sizing chart and review section.

I love this Lucy store. I can stock up on my workout gear for the year, and I love that there is no sale tax in OR.

I have been a Lucy fan for years. I remember actually calling the Corporate Office asking when will they put a store in Austin, TX. So, as I was strolling around the Pearl District I happened to see the Lucy logo and went to investigate.
I was not disappointed at all. I really enjoy the personal service as, my intentions was to purchase a shirt to kick around in, but I walked out with 2 pair of the Walkabout Capri Pants, and a skirt. The store did not have Houston location had my shirt. Woo Hoo!
I went by the Lucy store in Houston to pick up my shirt and I am in my happy place. Karen, at the Portland location has an excellent eye for sizes and what looks good on people. These walkabout capris are the best purchase I have made, as they are comfortable and fit me well in the hip and thigh area. Love, love, love these pants! Thanks Karen and I will try to stop by on my next trip to Portland!!!

I love lucy clothing. bought 2 pair of yoga pants 3.5 years ago and colors have never faded. plus, they fit like a dream.
I went to bridgeport store to take a look at selection of yoga pants. wasn’t in the store for more than a minute before I was attacked by overly eager saleswoman who insisted i try on a pair of yoga pants. peppered me with questions about what I was looking for even though I kept insisting i just wanted to look at the yoga pants. I’ll take my business elsewhere…

Okay, so I am kind of breaking the rules here, but whatev.
I used to work at lucy and was there when this location opened. Back in 2004.
While I can’t even begin to afford their clothing without an employee discount, I WILL say that the items I bought back then to wear to work (I know, totally awesome workwear!), STILL are in excellent condition.
It’s been like five years.
lucy’s stuff lasts. It is totally worth the extra dough.

Plus things actually fit me here. So double yay me!

After attending yoga practices in my pajama pants and a tshirt for months, I decided it was time to buy some clothing actually meant for the activity (I have a thing about not buying the accessories to an activity until I’ve proved to myself that I’m going to stick with it).
In to Lucy I went. They get 5 stars because they’re a locally owned business. I won’t go on my soap box about the locally owned business schpeel but if you have a choice for locally owned or not and it’s the same stuff, go with the locally owned.
Anyway, I informed the staff that I had been attending yoga practices in my pajama pants and was in desperate need to find some yoga gear. After telling them what I find most comfortable in clothing, the sales woman brought me a whole host of pants to try on, as well as coordinating tops. I walked out of there with several pairs of pants and a few tops. The staff was so friendly and helpful and even gave me a discount (which they seem to constantly be emailing me about 25% off or free shipping, etc) despite the fact that I didn’t have a coupon with me.

Puns aside, Lucy is a great company, with great clothes. Mostly, you’ll find high quality workout-​wear that is made from all the right materials and cut well for women, but you find them at high prices. Therefore, do as I do: stick to sale items and sign-​up to receive coupons. I’d even say that some of their basics (yoga pants and sports bras) are worth full price.
Generally though, it is the perfect place to find chic but highly functional gym-​going gear. If you need help – the staff people are knowledgeable and keen to provide the customers with the best in service.
Tip: I like my pants to ride on my hips, well below the belly-​button region but Lucy’s pants, even of the «lowrise» variety, still come up a little too high for my preference.

I like the fact that they are local, but I wish they would focus more on their own brand. They sell other brands in the same store and it just reminds me that there is some great stuff out there.
The prices are high, but they have a sale rack in the back and if you get on their mailing list they send coupons constantly.
Lucy pieces are usually bright with the occasional graphic. They have an awesome selection of bras and tanks. They also sell some accessories like mats, bags and water bottles.

I bought a great pair of yoga pants here. While the prices are a little high, they sometimes send out coupons (really good ones, I got $ 20 off any priced purchase). Wait for a sale to make your money go furthest.
