I don’t have a long, fancy review. But I got a wonderful haircut+highlight combo and the many staff I interacted with were delightful.

Come in and see Megan! Not only is she hilarious and awesome, but she does so well with blonde highlights. My husband, and one of my coworkers also come in and see her.
I recommend her to anyone looking for a new hair stylist in Portland. It can be really challenging to find someone new and I’m so glad I found her.

I have really enjoyed London Influence salon. I have used several different stylist there, most recently the owner Charles and have found everyone I’ve worked with to be friendly, professional and knowledgeable about hair. Prices are pretty consistent for Portland salons, in fact maybe even a little less than some similar places which is a bonus and they carry a great product line if you are someone who likes to pick up product with your salon visits.

I had Sarah C. and she was fantastic! Super friendly and very professional. I have extremely long, straight asian hair and she cut and styled it perfectly. Love my new short hairstyle and I can’t wait to go back when it grows out again in the next few months!

Unilocal to the rescue once again. Was in town for the week and dying to get a cut. Saw some good reviews so thought I would go for it. Made an appointment with Marilyn and am so happy I did. She is so knowledgeable and one of the few hairstylist who really understood my baby fine straight hair. So happy with the cut she gave me — just wish I was in Portland more often so I could keep coming back!

Kayla has been doing my hair for a few years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I have long straight hair and she really knows how to cut it to make the layers blend perfectly. I also do color once in awhile and she does it in a way that makes it easy to maintain. This salon is clean, professional and everyone is so nice. Highly recommend!

Sarah C. has been cutting my hair for about 6 months now and I *LOVE* what she’s done with it! For a couple years now, every time I’d go into a salon, I’d explain the asymmetric bob that I wanted and would walk out with «generic soccer mom style #3.» Gross. :P Sarah’s listened to my requests and now I have probably my most favorite hairstyle of my life! I swear, I get compliments on it daily.

I’ve been going to London Influence for my hairstyles for years, and love Charles and his hair artistry. Charles keeps up with the latest products to help give volume to my fine hair, and I always leave looking like a million bucks. Everyone at the salon is friendly and kind, and there’s a comfy couch and tons of great and recent magazines to enjoy while you await your appointment.
London Influence specializes in hair, and that is what they do best. They do cuts, color, extensions, and deep conditioning, everything your tresses need to look fabulous!
The location is downtown on SW 12^th Avenue, so on-​street parking is pretty easy, which I love. There is also parking under the building, and the entrance is just south of the salon on 12^th Avenue. If you’re coming from Beaverton, it’s super-​convenient to take the Market Street exit and turn left onto 12^th Avenue and go down past the MAX tracks.
I wish I lived in Portland still, so Charles could do my hair all the time. I’ve yet to find a stylist in Dallas that I love as much as I love him! But when I’m here, I’m totally getting my hair done, every time!

If you’re looking for a great stylist, I highly recommend Megan! She’s very nice and always gives a badass haircut/​style.

I went to London Influence yesterday after a much needed update to my hair. Megan was amazing! She asked the right questions and double checked her understanding to make sure I had the best hair experience possible. It was my first time coloring my hair so I was a little worried, but I’m so happy with how everything turned out. The color and cut is perfect. I will definitely be coming back!

I highly recommend Megan if you are looking for a stylist! I was so lucky to stumble into her path at another salon, and even though I only went to her once, I knew immediately that she was going to be my new hair guru. I happily followed her to London Influence, and I’ve been very happy with my hair ever since. She’s great with color, which is my main concern. (I have blonde hair that I like to keep lightened, but natural and trendy.) She’s great to talk to, has a warm and easy-​going personality. You’ll love spending time with her while she works her magic.

Kayla is amazing. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else to get my hair done. Pricing is reasonable. I have referred a few friends who are now regulars. She knows color well, and does a great cut…

Marilyn Smith is hands down the best at blonde!
When I first started seeing Marilyn my hair was thin and extremely damaged. My hair is finally long, thick and healthy again. Every time I walk out of there my hair looks flawless and natural. I swear she’s a hair magician. She has also done fusion extensions for me & ombré. My ombré turned out absolutely gorgeous, she really knows what she is doing. Not everyone knows how to pull off that perfect blend. Now when I go in I give her a general direction of what I want and leave it up to her to decide how it will look best and she always creates something more beautiful then I could have imagined. I constantly get compliments on my color. I highly recommend her and will never let anyone else touch my hair again.

Amanda Arp is fantastic! Every time I see her my hair ends up perfectly cut and colored. I’ve been to others at this salon, but Amanda is my favorite by far. I love her sense of humor and great attitude. And she is excellent at knowing exactly what style I’m after and what will look good or not on me. I highly recommend her.

Angela is easy to book an appointment with, she never cancels, she’s always consistent with cut/​color and she makes you feel welcome when in her chair. She recently did my hair for three days in a row of wedding festivities. It was perfect! She even came in on one of her days off without even thinking twice!

I was visiting Portland and was in need of a bang trim. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and was seen immediately by one of the stylist. Unfortunately I can’t remember her name but she was really friendly and did a wonderful job!
She shaped my bangs and gave me the perfect length. This was one bang trim that I did not have to fix after! Overall, a neat clean job.
After I was done I attempted to pay but she had said no charge! I left a tip but was really appreciative of the free trim and good service.
If I’m ever back in Portland, I’d definitely return if I need a trim!

It’s taken me too long to post this as I am now going in for a touch up. Might I say that London Influences Kayla was a refreshing surprise to my hair experiences in Portland thus far. I was turned away from a couple salons for an extensive service and London Influences Kayla agreed to take me within the hour of my calling.
I was there for a long while and she continued to be incredibly gracious and kind in a situation that could have potentially been a bit stressful. My color turned out beautiful and I left getting stopped on the street left and right for recommendations. Thank you Kayla and London Influence for the warm welcome and exceeding my expectations.

I love my hair stylist, Robert. He does amazing things with the scissors and I always leave happy. Robert is always on time, professional, and a great story teller. However, his price is pretty steep, but it’s well-​worth every penny.
He can do almost any thing you need, hair cut, style, colors, etc. The list goes on.
The staff is fine, but if it wasn’t for Robert, I really wouldn’t go there. He really brings the sun into the room. Although the space is open, it’s lacks lighting and it seems dark even with the abundance of windows.

I cheated on my hairstylist and I liked it! :D Now to figure out how to get Nichole to come down to Texas and cut my hair!
I usually don’t take risks with going to a salon that I’m not familiar with, ESPECIALLY not being from portland. But today, I really needed to get my mane straightened out. My friend referred me to go to heidi, but she was at a top tier so I decided to go for someone a tier down from heidi and chose Nichole for $ 46 a haircut. She was mentioned a lot more on this Unilocal review vs other stylists.
I took a risk and decided to go with Nichole. This must have meant that I was in DESPERATE need for a haircut! Well, I’m glad that I did because Nichole is AMAZING! She’s the type that totally keeps it real, is honest, funny, has an eye for what she wants to create and is beautiful! (Like all women from Lebanon are!). She was shocked that I actually wanted to travel to Lebanon since it’s not the typical vacation spot tourists usually go to and asked me why. haha.
I didn’t feel like she was rushed, she took her time even at the beginning on initial consultation just to figure out what to do with my hair. I gave her a picture of what I’d like in an ideal haircut but she totally took care of the rest. I wasn’t actually worried about her skills either like i typically am with any new hair stylist because she was totally friendly, warm and we clicked when I sat down. She was also kind enough to offer me a drink too and even talked through my haircut telling me what she was going to do and making sure I liked it throughout the cutting process.
They took me right in as I called for an appointment and it was perfect enough not to add any more change or re-​park on the streets. She only works 3 ½ days so you gotta book an appointment with her to catch her!
I’m sad that I’ll be heading back to my hometown in Texas. I wish I could bring Nichole with me but I’ll just have to come fly out to Portland more. :)
