Little Pandas Preschool operates two certified homes located next door to each other allowing children to grow and learn in one program from birth until kindergarten. Infants are cared for in a warm home environment where their individual needs are met on demand. Toddlers have their own space where they enjoy the freedom to play and explore choosing from a variety of daily activities. When children turn three they move to the «Big House» and participate in a multicultural preschool program. Our play based curriculum uses a blending of the best ideas from several early childhood theories. All of the children in both homes are learning Mandarin Chinese as they go about their daily activities.

History

Established in 1995.

Little Pandas Preschool opened in 1995 serving toddlers and preschool children. The baby home was added in 2006.

Meet the Business Owner

Pauline C.

Business Owner

Pauline graduated from Portland State University and has an Oregon elementary teaching certificate. She has owned and operated Little Pandas Preschool since 1995. She has worked as a child care mentor with the Oregon Center for Career Development in Childhood Care and Education at PSU. She voluteered for two years as facilitator for the NE chapter of Provider’s Resource Organization. Other experiences working with children include substitute teaching in grades K-​8, directing and teaching Sunday school programs, and coaching baton twirling to preschool through college age athletes. She is a parent to three internationally adopted children from Korea and China. Continuing education is a high priority for Pauline as she believes it directly benefits the children enrolled in Little Pandas Preschool.
