History

Established in 2009.

Lisette began her career setting flawless makeup and hair for the stage and film before taking her skills to brides who needed much of the same expertise to keep their styles from moving, fading and melting on wedding day. I’m also proudly the in-​house stylist for 14 Stories wedding and event planning, the nations #1 same-​sex wedding planner and am happy to offer skilled makeup and hair artistry to people of all gender presentations so everyone can look and feel their best.

Lisette is amazing! My wife and I found her website just in time to schedule her services for our wedding. She was easy to work with, and flexible with trial runs and location. As someone with acne scars and a tendency to break out, it was very important to me that I find someone who could make me look as beautiful as I feel. And wow did Lisette deliver! She not only made us look stunning, she made it fun. She has an awesome personality and was a joy to chat with. Highly, highly recommend Lisette!

Lisette is incredible! I found her online during my search for bridal hair and makeup. She blew the other people I contacted out of the water. She was attentive, passionate about her work, and receptive. She got back quickly to, worked around my complicated schedule to do my initial consultation, and executed PERFECTION! I want another consultation just so we can hang out again.
She is remarkably skilled, she listened to my ideas, got a feel for my personality, checked out some pictures of peoples’ hair and makeup that I liked, and somehow created the perfect look for my wedding hairstyle and makeup. I didn’t know that someone could turn my personality and energy INTO a hairstyle. But she did. Everyone needs to have Lisette do their hair, makeup, and eyelashes at least once in their lives.

I met with Lisette for the trial run of hair and make up for my wedding in June. Oh my goodness! She is amazing. Not only is she an awesome artist with fantastic skill but she’s just a great person! Easy to get along with, listened to my ideas and wishes and nailed the look I was going for. I feel completely at ease with her. Lisette was brilliant with makeup and hair on my wedding day. She also took a lot of care to create exactly the look I wanted. She was very professional and worked so well with the early morning schedule. She made my mother feel very comfortable even though my mom had a language barrier and it was her first time wearing makeup ever. Lisette is friendly and fun, and I felt like I made a new friend through the crazy wedding planning process after our fabulous trial. I recently came to the realization that I am too old to go to work every day with my hair in a ponytail. Lisette met with me for about 90 minutes and showed me 6 or 7 options based on a photo spread that I liked. Since I am operating at the most basic levels of styling literacy, she did a great job explaining all the steps and giving specific info about how to care for my hair and what products would be most useful. She’s also such a delightful lady so the pleasure of her company makes the session fly by. And — happy to say I haven’t frumped it to work since.

She did my hair and makeup on my wedding day, along with 7 other family/​friends. She was so professional and got us all in/​out right on time. I also did a hair/​make up trial with her, which was way great to figure out exactly what I wanted. Lisette is super chill/​funny and I looked forward to spending my whole day with her!
She is creative and really knows her material. Lisette is also very conscientious about the make up she uses and is flexible with people’s needs. My mom is recovering from skin cancer on her nose and Lisette was able to work with her to make her look fantastic without irritating her skin.
At the end of the day she made me and my 7 family/​friends feel beautiful — I couldn’t ask for more!

Lisette is a dream. She just gave me my first set of eyelash extensions, and I am truly amazed by the results. First of all, it’s really fun to sit with Lisette for an hour to 90 minutes; second of all, an hour to 90 minutes is REALLY QUICK to do the insanely awesome job she did; finally, my new eyelashes are the bomb dot com. I’m not going to have to wear mascara for weeks? My eyelashes look natural but also super dark, long, and luscious? Yes. All of the above. Hire Lisette to do this to your face.
Oh! I also saw her previous client’s sweet hairstyle and was a little jelly I wasn’t getting a hair-​do to go along with my lashes. Lisette is the real deal with all of her services!

Lisette is amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing, y’all!
She helped my band out with a photo shoot and we had the best time ever! She created wigs for all 4 of us from scratch in advance, did all of our make-​up, picked out our costumes, and took the photos herself without any assistance and was super professional and fun to work with the entire time. This photo shoot was seriously a dream come true and we are all so happy with how the photos came out!
Definitely hire Lisette for any upcoming event you might need a stylist for, she really and truly is FANTASTIC.

She did all the amazing things that an artist can do with hair and makeup and lashes but whats more is she is such wonderful company, you truly enjoy the time you spend being primped because she is so open, funny, and kind. She absolutely makes special days more special because it feels like you are spending time with a good friend who is cheering for you.
Totally professional, easy to make contract and payments with, I cannot reccomend her more highly. And whats better she has styling parties so maybe one day I can learn how to eye makeup and continue to be loyal customer

Lisette did a fantastic job on mine and my bridesmaid’s wedding makeup, I felt beautiful and natural but with an extra glamorous kick. My makeup lasted all day and most of the night despite the humid weather, dancing and a bit of crying (happy tears). I really liked her warm and cheerful personality. She was very knowledgeable, open to questions and asked a lot of questions to get my makeup perfect, she was professional and punctual. A little pricey but well worth it. I would recommend her any day of the week but be sure to book WAY ahead of time because her schedule fills up quickly!

I’m late in writing this review, but let me just say Lisette is the bomb. :)
She is fun and fabulous and made me and my girls all look amazing on my wedding day last August!
First of all, my wedding was on the same weekend that Hurricane/​Tropical Storm Irene decided to come into town. As a result, another wedding that Lisette was supposed to style for on Sunday got pushed to Saturday afternoon, and instead of telling them she could not get there as early as they needed her, she made sure to be there for them, and so she had been working since about 6 or 7am before she got to us at noon. Plus, if memory serves, she had also taken a red-​eye back to Boston before her morning job. WHEW! You would think that I’d have ended up with a room full of ladies with freak-​show hair after her lack of sleep, but not only did we look great, but she was as upbeat as the first time I met her, and you’d never know she hadn’t slept. That’s dedication to her clients!
When you are going to be in a room with someone for hours while getting ready for one of the biggest days of your life, you want that person to be fun. Lisette kicks ass and will end up adding to the amazing memories of your wedding day if you are smart enough to choose her! She’s also super-​prepared, with her travel styling chair for you to sit in and her Mary-​Poppins bag of supplies.
Oh, and yes she does makeup too! We had already picked another wonderful makeup artist by the time I met Lisette, which worked out well with the time we had… so I can’t comment on her makeup abilities, but I’m sure she’s pretty amazing at that too!
Meet with her for a trial and you will love her! I am so happy to have worked with her on my wedding day and would happily recommend her to anyone!

Lisette is fabulous! Lisette styled my hair and did my makeup for my wedding in August 2011. We did a trial run in May and everything went perfectly. We were ready to roll for my wedding the morning of Sunday, 28 August 2011. Fast forward to Friday, 26 August when Hurricane Irene was forecasted to arrive in Boston on Sunday, 28 August. At the very last minute on Friday at 12pm, we decided to move our wedding to 10am on Saturday. We knew that Lisette already had another wedding scheduled for Saturday and that she was just returning from vacation that Friday. Nonetheless, Lisette truly worked miracles and showed up at my home with her assistant at 4am on Saturday to do my makeup and to style my, my two bridesmaids’ and my mother’s hair. Everyone raved about our hairstyles and makeup. We could not have done our wedding without Lisette and we cannot thank Lisette enough for coming through for us at the last minute. We highly recommend Lisette — she is incredibly talented, generous and a wonderful person.

I worked with Lisette and her team for my April 30, 2011 wedding. She actually was booked for another wedding party and I was totally bummed. But she bumped them earlier and squeezed me in plus 2 moms makeup, 2 bridesmaid makeup, and one maid of honor hair + makeup. it was a tight schedule of 3.5 hrs for everyone but she brought an extra assistant and didn’t charge me extra! I could’t be more happy that she fit me in.
Her personality is super fun and she completely understood my makeup/​hair vision of vintage glamor, matte complexion, but mixed with a braided bohemian side do. LOL She came to my house for a trial and figured out my wedding style beforehand so the day of was smooth. My hair and makeup came out perfect, just the way i wanted and felt easy, I didn’t have that cakey too much makeup feeling. The makeup lasted until my groom was partied out by 5am the next morning! My side up do had some loose ends by the end of the night… but keep in mind it was 5am! :) She also gave me makeup tips to help me change lip color for my reception.
Her price point is super affordable and she comes to you! We had a blast and I would highly recommend her.

Love Lisette! As one of the bridesmaids, we had so much fun getting ready by Lisette and her assistants. She made each one of us individually beautiful to our personal style, and created both a fun and relaxing environment. Lisette even gives makeup tips on products and technique, which is above and beyond the value. I’m still asking her about products used! The makeup and hair lasted through the after party with no touch up needed. Oh, and Lisette loves challenges… I gave her a good one with a bright red spot on my eye. «Lisette, I need distraction from my eye!» She used her magic so that I could walk down the aisle in confidence and give my friend the graceful wedding she deserved.

Lisette is freakin’ awesome. She worked wonders on my pasty little face this Saturday for an event I was in, and in 30 minutes flat I went from pale and uninteresting to fabulous and fluttery. I have never received so many compliments on how I looked, and I was so happy that nothing had budged by the end of a long day and drunken evening.

OK, so getting styled for a big event is always stressful. You want to look like «you» but maybe… a slightly better you. And how do you describe to the makeup artist/​hair stylist that you like how your hair looks after you have worn it up all day, but also want to try something new, but are scared of red lips and KNOW THAT SHIMMER ANYTHING DOESNT WORK ON YOU SO DON’T EVEN TRY and also that you want to be able to dance with your hair done but also that you don’t want to look DONE DONE, you know, but definitely hotter than anyone else who will be there, etc etc etc…
Well, the answer is: hire Lisette. She’s your cool friend (well, she’s my cool friend) who always looks fierce but also totally unique, she has done makeup and hair for lots of theatre and special occasions, she’s totally affordable, and she gets your random celebrity references and dreamy goals for your boring hair. You won’t be sorry.
