Linnton Shell

Completely over charged my card and then wouldn’t give me a refund of the amount they went over. Were completely hostile and unhelpful. The guy actually asked if he could «get me next time», then lied and said there wasn’t enough in the register, then called his boss who basically gave me the solution of «sorry», then after threatening to call the police on me the actual shell oil company guy showed up, tried to side with the (now saying I asked for more gas than I did)) attendent, then when showed our receipt where we got it stop at $.42 realised I was telling the truth and made the guy give me my money back, out of the FULL OF CASH REGISTER. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a business and it’s too bad they’re the only station over there because I’d love to tell people to boycott. Bad business breeds bad business. Honestly if the attendent had just apologized and given me a gift card for the amount I was overcharged that would’ve been fine and I wouldn’t have left a review but he didn’t so I did :) to have a business have their ‘equipment malfunction’ and then put it on me is completely insane. I hope this station gets shut down or taken under new management asap.

the arco’s are fine, too – but then you have that .35 fee they tack on for debit card use.
with shell you can remain in your vehicle and no extra surcharge. i like it.

The guy usually working the pm shift here is hella cool and will go the extra distance for an reasonable y requests or needs you and your mechanical horse might find yourself having, at the filling station in a po-​dunk pueblo which ostensibly serves as little else other than a go-​between P-​town and the small-​ish burgs populating the trail from here to Astoria.
Shell, as has been pointed out, does offer the bio-​diesel, and is self-​serve to boot, which still feels like such a forbidden fruit here in Oregon (only we and Jersey still outlaw self-​serve petrol). But I dunno if that hype is all played out yet or what. Is anybody out there still all jazzed about the benefits of ethanol, and bio– diselsel? I mean if so, bully for you of course!
Shell (formerly Texaco for so many years) got rid of their big propane tank, leaving the only place betwen P-​town and SCappoose to getcher Propane to be @ 7 – 11, of all places! that strikes me still as somehow odd, that neither gas station in town carries propane, but 7 – 11 does … which winds up being a huge advantage, as neither of the filling stations is open much past 8pm year-​round, which I have to continuously remind myself of, when heading out that way!
In sum, Shell is quick, tidy, friendly station, managed well, and you don’t have to get outta your car every time, like at the Arco — unless of course you’re doing bio-​diesel. See above. Apparently the attendant leaves a bigger carbon footprint by doing the deed, than having you do it yourself. But Shell is also about .20 a gallon costlier than Arco, so judge for yourself which station has the upper hand. Judging from automotive traffic at each station at any given time during operational hours, neither place is exactly hurtin’ for business…

I love to get my biodiesel here because…
–they have B99
–I can legally pump the fuel myself
–it’s close to home and linnton feed store (also great)
If you have a diesel car or truck, you really should run biodiesel.
Your car will run longer, stronger and cleaner. Really, do some research.
You should fuel up here!
