Cute little shop that is filled with trendy things that I can’t afford. Not that it is overly expensive. I am just spending less these days.
The pieces are trendy and if you are looking for a cute little piece to update your closet you should snout around a bit. They have a sale rack as well.
I was hoping for more classic pieces when I saw «NYC» in the name. The look here is fresh and trendy without going over the top. As I get older I look for more classic items so if you are a more trendy dresser you might love it here.
I noticed they had some cute jeans so I may take another look. From what I can tell they have a lot of items coming in all the time.
The staff were nice but not overly so. Some people might not like that but I love to be left alone to look. I have no problem asking for help when I need it and I get turned off when people are too chatty or helpful.
Not a bad choice to take a look!

I had so much fun picking out 2 new tops with the gals at Leann NYC over the weekend. I had been to several shops that day. Unfortunately, when I put on one of the blouses before work one morning, I found a hole in the breast. So I took it back. HOLY COW, did the fun end! I was told they didn’t have any more to exchange it for so I was out of luck. I said, «Can I just pick out something else?» They said… NO! The 2^nd woman, who I assumed to be the manager stepped in and said that after I left, they found a button on the floor. Sure enough, it was a match to my blouse. My only option was for her to sew the hole and — bonus — sew the button back on. I agreed, seeing as my only other option was to leave with a bloused minus a button and with a hole in the chest. So, she started her work while I browsed. The first gal followed me around the store, like she was expecting me to steal something. No offer of help, no offer to show me anything new, no offer to start a fitting room — just looking over my shoulder. I even put my purse and coat on a chair near the door to get her off my back. I didn’t have any pockets. I expect to be able to return an unworn garment within a few days if I simply change my mind, let alone if the product is defective. I didn’t have any other option but to leave with an imperfect blouse — the seem she sewed is noticeable. But I do have the choice not to shop there again and warn other shoppers. If you buy something, you better be sure you are okay with it falling apart before you wear it and not getting a replacement!

I stopped in here to look around while killing time waiting for a restaurant to open. I walked out with an adorable pair of shorts that fit amazingly.
The gal working, (I think it was the owner) was very helpful in getting me set up in a dressing room, helping me tie a shirt I tried on, and finding me another shirt to match said shorts that would be in a different style.
She was helpful, but not pushy and had lots of cute things!

This shop throws a fantastic First Thursday party! From hired dj’s, to bartenders serving complimentary wine, beer and vodka Redbull’s to a fashion show to really giving away a raffle gift at the end of the night. ya know how you may enter a contest, not win and wonder if there really was a prize or a winner? Well, not here. 2 of my friends have actually won the monthly prize (a purse and a dress). In fact, they didn’t even have to be present to win, but got a call the following day from the shop, announcing them as the winners. The purse was valued at $ 450 and my friend uses it non-​stop.
I love the décor — especially the blue chandeliers — and have gushed about them the past 3 months. Hopefully, the shop will start selling home décor items soon. If 3 Monkeys can — so can Leanna NYC!
The clothes are very fashion forward — which makes me think they may be designed be local designers. Hopefully, we’ll get to see some of these frilly frocks at this years Fashion Week out at Swan Island.
I don’t get downtown as often as I like but can guarantee I will be back the next First Thursday… and the First Thursday after that… and the First Thursday after that.

Awesome boutique! The location itself isn’t super prime (it’s kind of on its own on the corner), but it’s recently expanded by teaming up with the shop next door (Bonnet) to now offer cute hats, scarves, etc…
In terms of price it’s pretty much in line with the other shops you’ll find on NW 23^rd — in terms of selection I’d say it beats most of them. I always find trendy pieces that fit my frame, and the ladies that work there are always attentive and helpful.
I’ve been here a few times (including a fashion show they held on first thursday) and can honestly say it’s holding its own in Portland’s shopping scene. I’d like to see this place get busier and full of the business it deserves!

I’ve shopped at this store before and liked most of the stuff. However, the owner, Leanna, has the WORST return policy i have ever dealt with. I bought a pair of leggings for $ 30 (not a cheap price for LEGGINGS) and i wore them once for about 3 hours and decided i did not like the way they fit in the front. I went back the very next day with my receipt and my tags and she would not take them back. Her excuses for not taking them back made absolutely no sense. In fact, she had not other reason for not taking them back except for the fact that i had worn them ONCE! The leggings were clean, in perfect shape, they still even smelt new. I shop at boutiques all the time and I have never had an issue with returning something the very next day! I feel like Leanna will lose a lot of her customers happiness and loyalty with a return policy like that. There needs to be a sign in the window that says «no returns if worn or tags are removed». Very unprofessional experience and I will NEVER shop at Leanna NYC ever again!

SOHO boutique in the Pearl. Having been to NYC many many times and shopped up and down SOHO streets, I can say for sure that this is one shop that understands high street fashion. From the service, selection, or even the ambiance, this shop sets the standard for the Pearl. I may not be a chick but heck, this is the place to shop for you GF. She won’t be disappointed.

I just had to write a review because I have been to this shop several times and I read the review below and its just not fair to try to hurt a business like that.
I think they offer really cute clothing at affordable prices and the staff has always been helpful.

I freaking LOVE Leanna NYC! They have the best clothes and prices to match. I always get personal attention and enjoy spending time there with my girlfriends. Leanna’s staff is always willing to help and they give honest opinions rather than saying everything looks amazing on me… because it doesn’t.
Love the atmosphere, the art & especially the FIDELITY JEANS!

This makes me sad to say but I have NEVER received such bad customer service from an owner of a store in my life.
First, I was sold a dress which was faulty (it came off while I was wearing it). When I went in to exchange or return it, the owner (Leanna) told me that there was nothing she could do since I already wore it. And that I was passed the 7 day return policy. Which is ridiculous! Who wears something within 7 days of purchase?! She told me that the manufactures can’t check every item so it’s the «risk you take» when buying a piece of clothing… she said I was told about the return policy upon checkout (which I wasn’t)
Then she said they could get it fixed for 15 dollars. Which I paid in cash.
I left her my name and number and she assured me that they’d get back to me when it was finished.
I didn’t’ hear anything for weeks…
So I called and they had clearly forgot. I waited again for weeks, and they informed me that the dress had to be sent to New York to get a matching zipper. I waited again for over a month! I went in and asked about my dress. Clearly Leanna had forgot again. She mumbled something about how «they don’t call» I don’t know who she was referring to… She asked my for my number again and said she’d call me when it was in.
After nearly three months of waiting I received a Facebook message: because guess what! She forgot my number again! Then she misspelled my name (which was right there on my Facebook profile) I go to pick up the dress and she tries to charge me 18 dollars and insisting that no record of the 15 $ I paid was in there system. But hey! if my phone number didn’t make it into the system three times why would my purchase? Then she had the nerve to say that she’s been «bending over backward for me»!
So now my dress is being held hostage by one of the most defensive, unorganized business owners with a complete lack of customer service skills.
needless to say I will not be returning to the store, the clothes are cute but it was embarrassing and really uncomfortable.
I would like to add that I’m not trying to hurt a business. Unilocal is a place where people share their experiences. If you had a great experience here then that’s awesome! I wish I had, but I didn’t. It was awful. I still have a right to discuss my experience. So, take it with a grain of salt! And hopefully the store learned something from this as well.
