Kaady Car Wash

I’ve gone here a few times for a car wash and every time their machine bends my license plate. After noticing this pattern I started coming simply to vacuum out my vehicle. Yesterday I was super disappointed to see that now you either have to get a car wash or pay FIVE DOLLARS to use their vacuums. Time to find a new car wash joint.

How many times have you went to a car wash and didn’t know until you already paid and were rolling on in that the mops/​brushes were worn out, the water that was sprayed on your vehicle to rinse it looked muddy and the air dry… well… It didn’t dry your vehicle. So you pull on out, drive home and when you get out you notice that there are waterspots, streaks and areas where it was not cleaned. What a let down!
Well… this car wash is clean, the equipment is maintained, brushes/​mops are in great shape, water is clear, driers work well and everything in general seems to be fully functioning. How nice is that!
The personnel here are super friendly, will remove your antenna and they really care. You can purchase quantities and get a discount as well which is great for the summer months when you need extra washes.
The vacuums are in good condition and working order and the hoses are long enough with the proper suction so you end up with clean carpet. Nice!

They do a decent job of greeting their customers and washing your car. $ 7 and a $ 10 Premium Option.

This is the only car wash I’ve ever been to that won’t wash your car if it’s too dirty. I’ve never once gone here without some kind of hassle.

I’ve been going here for years. Their extra wax like protection seems to do well for the cars finish, and the employees are always happy and friendly. The price is reasonable if you buy the 5 pack and get the freebie.

The most important thing I’ll say about this car wash is that if something goes wrong, they will go to great lengths to make you satisfied. The rear wiper on my car broke (we think) during the wash. Without hesitation or hassle, the friendly owner called me to tell me he would replace it. Second, this place does a fantastic wash at a great price. Third, the employees are cheery and helpful. Fourth, those self-​service vacuums give you a lot of suction for your buck. This is the only place I’ll go for a car wash.

Terrible Carwash. It left a 5 foot long scratches down our brand new 2015 Jeep Wrangler. They denied everything, and wasted a lot of my time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I just left that place feeling like I should have just taken the reviews I had read before I actually went to this place to heart. Anyone who said that this place is no good was spot on. I just got a used car and it needed a good vacuum and cleaning and all I got was the worst vacuuming experience I’ve ever had. The amount of suction those huge machines have is comparable to the suction we use when we drink through a straw of a drink we don’t like … Or even better someone drinking a scalding hot drink through a straw. That’s more like it. I will give them this however the people that work there were very friendly and when the machine would eat my quarters and not turn on they replaced the money. And for that I was grateful but seriously you’re better off using a tiny handheld vacuum cleaner than you are using the ones they have there. I figured if the vacuums were as bad as that I wasn’t going to risk putting my car through the washing machine

It’s a car wash for the lazy. I’m into that. I was spoiled by my previous car wash in Eugene that hand dried my car when done but this is pretty good otherwise.
The folks that work there are always polite and professional. They offer to take off my antenna and have put it back on when I’m out of the car wash. I like the lemon scent that is in my car for a few minutes. I have no complaints, they’re A-​OK.

It’s kind of hard for me to write an unbiased review considering I’m a former employee. They do get your car very clean except for a few spots. They do give you the dash towels to touch up said spots too, I’m a little confused by the recent price increase though.
Okay that was the good. Here’s the not so good. The reason for what is perceived as poor customer service is incredibly low employee morale. While that is not an excuse I feel it is the reason many of the people here don’t seem to care. I have also witnessed countless employees being disciplined or terminated for extra wiping down or spraying solution below door handles.
What you need to remember when taking your car through any automated carwash is you are running your car through an unforgiving machine. If you have any previous damage to your car get it fixed before going through. Also in 6 years of working here I only saw 1 power antenna make it through unharmed. I actually had a few customers rip their antennas off before going through after I told them this. Solid mast antennas almost always make it unless they are previously damaged. Oversized hitches are removed to prevent potential damage to the car wash and your vehicle that would total thousands of dollars. A machine will always do it the same thus insuring consistency, but it will also always miss the same things. I could go on and on, but those are the main things.

$ 7 for a wash with so many exceptions is too much. No hitches, winches, or who-​knows-​what-​else are allowed to go through unless you agree to them turning off most of the brushes/​cloths (which results in your car looking like it was never washed at all).
I’ll get my washes elsewhere.

$ 6 dollars for a wash. It’s a lot. They keep raising their prices but the service sucks. The kids that work here couldn’t give a *&^% about if your car is actually clean or not. I have a new car, one with a flat back and a little lip that overhangs it (to keep the rain off, I suppose). The top of the back window cannot get clean with their brushes, etc. Hey, for $ 6 you had better get my car clean without me having to get out and find you, get one of your wet wipes, wipe it myself, and then find a place to dispose of it myself. This is NOT washing my car. This is a PARTIAL wash. Change up your machinery or give me a discount.

They’ve been consistent and good for a variety of Oregon-​standard volvos and subarus I’ve owned. The equipment and building always appear to be in great shape, as if the business is new. I don’t understand the name, though. Please, have a consonant.

My 1996 Subaru had a license plate that was not solidly attached. When I realized that my front license plate was missing after going through the car wash, I returned. They turned off the car wash during a customer lull and retrieved my license plate. The manager saw me waiting for the plate and reinstalled it, tying it on with zip ties so there would be no problems next time.
The discount cards are handy and save a few dollars.

Sometimes our car is still dirty after the wash.
It’s about 2 minutes drive from our home, so I can’t complain that much.

I used to go here often and was usually happy with the results and service. If you didn’t think the car was clean enough you could run it through again.
Well, now this location boasts that they don’t use brushes on the prewash, along with a person on each side doing it. Now just one person who squirts down your front end with a moderate stream, points at stuff and slaps a huge piece of tape on the back wiper resulting in a dirty spot and soapy leftovers.
The results are less than desirable.
Without the brushing the grime doesn’t get off, not to mention brake dust on rims, you NEED to brush this stuff off!
I watched intently during the process as 3 little needles on my windshield survived the battle of all the stages of the automated wash.
Guess I could have gone through again, but really, why should I have to in the first place?
It’s only 5 bucks, the one up in NW on Burnside is 6, and they still have 2 guys with brushes and therefore a better wash.
Guess I’ll keep going to that one.

I am a fan of Kaady Car Wash because it gets my car very clean, very quickly and for not all that much money.
$ 5 for a regular wash and $ 10 to get some super slick «rain-​x» type stuff for your windshield as well as some wax (I think).
In any case the whole process takes 3 – 5 minutes depending on how many people are in line in front of you. You can pay with cash or card even.
The people at this particular location (near the Terwilliger exits on the 5) seemed more business like and less approachable than the ones just down the street on the Capitol HW and Barbur intersection.
For this reason I am docking them ½ star because even though I have to interact with them for less than 20 seconds, I prefer jovial workers to sales minded ones. The other half star comes off because the exit from the station is really inconvenient as it enters right onto the interstates off ramp so not only is there a line to get in but there is also one to get out of the car wash.
