Junior Achievement is an amazing organization that sends volunteers into classrooms across the world and helps teach children about the importance of their community, staying in school, learn about finances, different aspects of their community and other topics to encourage and empower them. There are different programs and you can either spend one full day with the school kind of a JA in a day type program or go once a week over the course of several weeks teaching different things each time you go. I have had the pleasure of volunteering for them several times and it is always an amazing day. The students really respond to the program and are just adorable. Although Junior Achievement has a set curriculum, they encourage you to share your own stories which the students really love. It is just an amazing program, I highly recommend it to folks.
