History
Established in 1980.
Dr. John Chessar started this dental office in 1980, after serving the community for 32 years he retired and turned the office over to Dr Joseph Young in 2012. Dr. Young graduated from OHSU, completed a hospital based general practice residency, and worked for a number of offices before settling down in King City. He loves to learn having earned 10X the continuing education required of him at this stage of his career which includes IV sedation, Dental implants, root canals. Dr. Young also teaches part time at Oregon Tech dental hygiene school at their Salem campus. Dr. Young is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and is expected to receive his Followship award through that organization in the Summer of 2013.

Dr. Young grew up in Lake Oswego and lives there still, he attended Brigham Young University– Idaho for his undergraduate degree, then attended OHSU for dental school. After dental school he was accepted to a highly competitive hospital based General Practice Residency in Hawai’i where he learned operating room and emergency room dentistry. Dr. Young acquired his practice from Dr. John Chessar in 2012 and teaches part time in Salem at the Oregon Tech Dental Hygiene School on the Chemeketa Community College Campus. Dr. Young is also fluent in Spanish.
