I rarely take the time to write a review unless I am very satisfied or extremely dissatisfied. In this case, I was extremely dissatisfied. I placed an ad with Jobdango. Two weeks later, we had no responses. I called and spoke to a man. I don’t recall his name, however I do recall his condescending tone. As an adult, a business owner and a human being I find nothing more insulting that being spoken to as if I am a child with a learning difficulty. I found that my ad had the wrong city in it. Perhaps because the company is based in a different city than the job location. However the ad did say, «Portland, OR» and it is a Portland publication. Jobdango fixed the ad, then suggested I pay another $ 100 or so, for a premium listing. I agreed. Still, no responses. We posted the SAME ad in Craigslist and had 10 or more qualified resumes a day for several weeks. Today I called Jobdango to discuss this issue. I was greated with the same condescending employee I spoke to previously. This time he explained to me that it was probably my fault that no one had applied, because he hadn’t heard of my company before. He sure wasn’t saying that when he tol me to pay more for a premium listing! Rather than offer a full or partial refund, he asked me, «why do you think there were no responses?» In the same condescending tone. «Why?» Well, let’s see. If the same ad garners 100 qualified resumes and Jobdango garners zero, isn’t that a question Jobdango should be asking themselves? I probably woud not adverstise with Jobdango again, simply because of the failure to get results. However, I can see now that the problem with Jobdango is bigger. You have to recognize a problem before you can fix it. Jobdango wants to blame their customers rather than look at thei internal problems. That’s no way to treat customers.
