Jiffy Lube

Terrible experience. I was in a pinch and heading out of town was a quart low and needed an oil change. I should have just went to the store and got a quart of oil and headed out. I usually change my own oil or let Walmart do it. I was not asked what weight of oil I wanted. They assumed I wanted 5W30 in my van. That is what the previous owner used according to their records. This is my van now and I have my own preferences. They tried to up sell me a cabin filter. My kids were in the van and my daughter did not understand what they were doing on the passenger side of my van. At the sametime they were checking the lights on the van that she understood. I was given the chance for them to change the oil to my desired choice but I had a schedule to keep and needed to be in Bremmerton Wa by 1:30 to catch a ferry. The guy helping just shut down after that. I asked him to run my card and let me out of there.
I have had problems with this location in the past and am kicking myself for going there again. I should have listen to my wife and went to Fredys or the parts store and grabbed a quart of oil.
I will not be returning to any Jiffy Lube. As bad as some people rail on Walmart I will go there over Jiffy Lube any day of the week. They at least ask what I want serviced on my vehicle.

I went to Jiffy lube on august 18,2015 and got a oil change. I left 2 days later for the beach. And i was almost ro Astoria and i heard a loud pop and my truck started knocking. I had to baby ny truck to Astoria almost didnt make it. Got to Astoria and there was no oil filter. It built up ao much pressure that it backed out one of my ciuls and spark plug. Had to be towed to Illwaco, Washington were i was going. Jiffy Lube did not want to do anything about it. I had to pay 900.00 for my truck to be fixed. They took no blame told me it was my fault. Will never go there again and none of my friends or family will either.

I will never come back here again. 35 $ for signature oil change? Outside your sign is 22.99 $. That is such a big lie.

I know how these places work and that they make their money on the extras and I am good with that, I go in get oil and filter and 2 wiper blades and air filter (huge mark up items) s $ 150.00 Ok just do a good job and please please check the tire pressure. They bill me out and the first thing I notice the windshield is dirtier then when I came in I open the door and see the worst vacuuming job I have ever seen. I get in and the low time pressure light is still on and I know it takes a few miles to get to turn off. Well 6 miles still on I got Les S tires center and they check the tires and they are from 3lbs to 9lbs off, they fill them out right and off we go no light on.
Never again guys, that was the last you will see of me…

Just came from an oil change and I would say they have the worst customer service ever! They kept pressuring me to buy a bunch of things I don’t need! I work on cars as a hobby, and I know what I need and what I dont. I just need an oil change!!! That’s it! Told everyone I know to stop going here. And it wasn’t in and out as people are saying. Both times I’ve been there, I waited 45 minutes! I can change my own oil in 6 minutes! That’s how bad they are. Please just go elsewhere!

Every time they asked me if I wanted to add a filter or add this or add that, I asked how much it cost, and the person checking me in rolled his eyes and sighed as if I were inconveniencing him. I’m never coming back here again. I’ll go to the one on Hawthorne, where they’re very courteous.

I only go to this location because the whole staff is always friendly and never pushy. The lobby and restroom is ALWAYS well keep.

This place is horrible!!! NEVER have them perform any type of service on your brakes, unless you want them to stop working!!! My mom has been without a car for THREE WEEKS now and Jiffy Lube has done NOTHING to fix their error!!! Great customer service guys!

On July 3^rd I went to Jiffy Lube I stopped in that night around 6pm for an oil change on my scion tc. I also recieved a coupon for 4^th of July which I printed out and used. Thank you for the coupon. However im not reaching out to you in reguards to the amazing service I recieved, the opposite is what i received. As I pulled into the bay I was greeted with smiles and the whole crew willing to help. That quickly changed when I was getting checked in.
Jason was checking me in and started talking about how I got the engine flush on April 28^th with synthetic oil change. I said I needed to get oil in my car, assuming I was just going to have to pay to get it done (which I did). I told Jason I was in for just conventional oil change and I had a coupon, he proceded to say it’s just 3 dollars off the signature price. Then proceeded to talk about getting another engine flush which I did not want to do. Once Jason discovered that I wanted to not spend more money his whole attitude changed. No longer it felt friendly, I feel like it is a commission based sale and once they don’t make more money the service quickly dissolves.
The part that was most frustrating was Jason stated I was within my 90 days and I paid for synthetic on my last visit in April. They started my oil change with synthetic I asked Jason since im within the 90 days can’t you top me off? Jason said we already started and technically since I was so close to being at my 3000 mile mark no. I stated that I did not have the best interaction at your jiffy lube off 143^rd division. Jason said that’s unfortunate. Did not top me off and has very possibly lost a customer.
I am reaching out to you to inform you of how unfriendly the environment can get real fast. For the attitude to change due to me not purchasing more services is bad. For Jason to say technically topping off was an option but not doing it and then saying after I stated I am having a bad experience then Jason saying thats unfortunate is unacceptable. I will be telling my friends to go somewhere else for their car maintenance, I seriously hope you do something about this.
If you care to call feel free. I manage a retail store downtown and understand that sometimes we have rough days but to say could do something but im not going to is appalling.
After waiting 3 weeks I doubt that the owner Jamie will be contacting me. I will be taking my services somewhere else and I hope that if you have experienced this kind of service you will consider it as well. And if you have not seen the videos going around look up jiffy lube scams online. This is eye opening.

You want a cheap oil change? Fine, but don’t let them do anything else! They will will charge you ridiculous rates for every other service and will end up messing up your car in the end. I would never go back there.

It is what it is: an oil change.
My 4×4 Tacoma ran me $ 24 since it requires an extra quart. The service was FAST and very friendly.
Came in about 2pm on a Monday, and was able to get right in. The woman in the garage addressed me by name as I stepped out of my vehicle (quick license plate search found me in their system) and they were done with everything in about 15 minutes.
Yes, they offer you other services, but when I say no they were in no way pushy.
People (complainers): It’s their job to sell things like air filters, differential flushes and chip repair — if you don’t want those services just say no. It’s not a mechanic shop, you’re here for an oil change: quick maintenance. They do a great job of that here.
Definitely more prompt and friendly than some of the other local locations.

While the employees are certainly polite, the up-​sell is out of control.
My ex had my car for almost a year and once I got it back, I took to in for an oil change. Naturally, the staff engaged in some theatrics (omg, you’re car really needs this and this! I’m amazed it got here under its own power, etc, etc). Some of which I knew was blatantly false. But I knew that the car probably did need some TLC, so I drop $ 300. That’s right — I go in for a $ 30 oil change and end up dropping $ 300.
I came back in less than 2 MONTHS LATER later for another oil change (I had gone on a road trip to California and had managed to log the recommended 3,000 miles)…and…yep…same thing. They start trying to up-​sell in the most aggressive way. Their recommended procedures would’ve cost me hundreds more.
The final straw for me was the fact that I had developed a crack in my power-​steering pump and was leaking fluid. Their recommended fix… that I go back to them EVERY WEEK so that they could perform the delicate (and expensive) procedure of — putting power steering fluid in. Can you imagine? It takes no tools, the fluid only costs about $ 3 at the store, and the entire procedure probably only takes 30 seconds. I wonder what they would’ve charged me if I had been stupid enough to take their advice?
They’re fast, they’re polite… but they must be under crushing pressure to up-​sell because they’re perfectly willing to lie and exaggerate to ridiculous levels.

They’re quick. Im usually in an out within 10 – 15 minutes.
The sign outside always advertises $ 19.95 for an oil change and its an extra $ 5 to vaccuum, clean your windshield, check pressures and top off fluids.
Sure, you have to endure a few minutes of them trying to upsell you tons of services you may not need, but from my experiences, the employees are never pushy after you decline the extra services.
I will be back (in about 1,000 or so more miles).

I always hesitate when approaching a Jiffy Lube for my signature service oil change, why? Because the dudes always try to get me to buy more services that I did not budget for by saying,
«It’s really bad to let this go»
«You really need to have your radiator flushed, that fluid is a bad color»
I know that I should have had my oil changed sooner, but I work for chrissakes. and the last thing I want to do post work after dark is get my oil changed on creepy deep SE Division.
Alas, it’s my car, I need it, it needs me. So I coughed it up. What I never know is how serious they are about the services they are necessitizing; yet I do know that selling those ancillary things is where the money is. and I’m a sucker. 3 stars cause I got in fast, they knocked $ 10 off… 3 stars cause «15 – 20 minutes» turned into 40, and one of the tards tried to flirt.
At least now I know that I have good oil (some special blend for ‘higher mileage cars’), a flushed radiator, a flushed engine, a new bulb, I’ve been vacuumed, and my battery needs replacing.
