5^th time coming here. Great location of you are shopping in the area! Prices very reasonable and the staff is always friendly!

Horrible place! NOT luxury at all! Loud, rude and constant Vietnamese conversations going on. Nail tech made me bleed with drill. After that I saw tech (I use term lightly) grab clippers from my nail technician station and proceed to use on a gentleman getting a pedicure! I asked «Don’t you sanitize your instruments?.» All I got was a blank stare. While checking out, I asked the owner of the establishment and she ignored me! Unsanitary establishment!

After spending 1 hour in the car and only traveling 10 miles, on my way to Seattle, I cut my losses and stopped here. I was greeted by a friendly smile and a «Sure we have room!» followed by an offer of an adult beverage. Although it’s only 1pm, I thought, why not! I’m not getting back in my car until traffic clears.
My morning consisted of rushing around for hours trying to put out last minute fires at work and also packing to leave town, then sitting in traffic for too long. Now I am being pampered and feel much more relaxed.
My only complaint, which is not worth even docking a point, is that I was asked too many times if I wanted a shellac pedi. I always get shellac manis, but never need shellac for my toes. My toes always last about a month and then the polish comes off easily come the next pedi. The part that bothered me was that I was told, «Nails will get ruined without shellac» and so it made me wonder if I would intentionally get a bad polish if I didn’t choose the upgrade.
Either way, both fingers and toes lasted as long as I expected them too. Although this salon is too far away from home to frequent, I will be back next time I am on my way up North.
*By the way — although I am glad I stopped, I was off the road for exactly 2 hours and when I got back on the 5, it was still stopped all through way through the border. Go figure!

Today was my third visit to this salon. Which by the way does not go by Jantzen Beach Nails & Spa, formerly Nails, Etc, now known at Luxury Nail Bar.
First off. nothing luxury about this place. Its your basic meat market of nail salons. They rush you in, nickle and dime you to death and give far inferior service than one should expect for the price. The price itself is very affordable but that doesn’t give them leeway to butcher your nails.
The Nail tech today, the third I’ve had here, of course did not speak English that I know of, only a few words that were exchanged. She sliced my finger with the dremel and then proceeded to pour (yes a drop will do) liquid Styptic on my finger. HOLY MOTHER OF CHRIST!!! 2 minutes later she tried to reassure me that It was «no big deal» to which I informed her «of course its not big deal to you its not your finger burning» Lets not talk about the alcohol wipe after washing either. Slice and dice me then charge me 3 dollars for a repair on a nail they just put on 2 weeks ago. I’ve never in 30 years of having nails had acrylic nails break within 2 weeks of application unless I was doing some heavy lifting, which I wasn’t.
So this was my last time there. 3 bucks a break for inferior service, 3 bucks for 3 colors of nail polish though no one nail has more than one color. Trashy paint stand, not organized by any means.
I’m not ever going back, sure its convenient but I’d rather just make an appt elsewhere, to heck with walk in.

Great concept. I dropped in on Sunday and was taken back right away. They offered a menu of free beverages. I chose white wine and was pleased to discover that it was Château St Michele, which is a decent inexpensive wine. They have many techs working at once, which is great, and the place is pretty.
I requested a gel manicure, French tips. The tech who performed the service was pleasant, but was so entranced with everything that was going on around her that she was not paying attention to what she was doing. She absentmindedly filed one of my nails shorter than the rest and was going to skip one completely until I mentioned it. I had a sore spot on one cuticle and because she wasn’t paying attention, she kept going over it with the file and the cuticle nippers. Ouch.
The French tips were okay, but there are bubbles and bumps in the finish. The only real aggravation was that she filed the edges of all the nails AFTER polishing, which breaks the finished edge. Of course, four days later, the polish is chipping.
I won’t be back. $ 30 is way too much to pay for a manicure that hurt and only lasted four days.

Kind of sad, I’ve given this place a couple chances as I know not every day is perfect in a business. But my pedi two weeks ago was the last straw. I have been stewing about it so I thought I would share my experience… I was rushed in even though they were not that busy. I was seated in a chair that still had someone elses drink in it. The water was scorching hot, and the pedicure was rough. When she filed my nails I was afraid she was going to cut my skin. The brush scrubbing was so hard that I pulled my foot back as a natural response to discomfort — she asked if it was tickling me. I explained that it was too rough. She then stated, «sorry I’m just going 90 miles an hour» … why? The parifin was scorching too… she just said… its ok it will cool… geesh! This is supposed to be relaxing. I can appreciate efficiency, but I think these technicians may be overworked. I don’t want to contribute to that. Also concerned about proper sterilization here… I don’t think it is happening. When I went to pay after waiting in the chair forever, a guy came to the front desk. He did not know what to do. he asked what services I had, when I told him he came around the desk and looked at my feet. He then gave me a suspicious look and got the tech who did my pedi… which made me have to wait longer. Tech arrived eating something… which leads me to believe she hurried me through to get her break. I feel sad for her. I left with a scrape on my right foot a gouged cuticle and insulted that he would not take my word that I had $ 28 service.

This place is so not relaxing. They rush you from the moment you walk in the door. From insisting you sign in with an antiquated pencil and clipboard that they don’t look at or read and then they ask you a dozen times if you want a mani or pedi and to pick a color. It’s ridiculous. By the time I sat to get my pedi and she started I realized I was in for a real treat when she was filing my toes and it was incredibly painful and I realized she was filing/​buffing the skin around my toenails as well. When she was putting my polish on she actually joked about it and looked at me saying, «Oh we really made your feet hurt didn’t we.» because they were shredded and red. I don’t know why I paid, I was tired and embarrassed and wanted to get out the door.

They always do a great job! Only giving 4 stars BC the music is WAY loud. I’m into a more calming environment. Also, they change $ 5 for a small simple stencils on your toes.

Waste of time. I called early in the day for a same day appointment & arrived at 1:00 for my scheduled apt. I was promptly put in a chair to soak, and soak and soak. 45 minutes later I was still waiting for my pedicure to begin. They may do a decent pedi, but I can’t attest to that since I walked out after waiting 45 minutes.

There is absolutely nothing better than treating yourself to a good pedicure but it’s especially great when you feel like the salon spoils you on top of that!
Such was the case when my mom and I met for a quick pedi over the weekend.
I honestly had no idea this place was here, but it’s a skip over the Interstate Bridge for Vancouver folk, so I will definitely be making this a regular. My mom goes here, even though she says «It’s a little more spendy». Honestly, what I discovered is that yes, it’s not your bargain $ 20 dollar pedicure. What you do get however, is some serious bang for your pedi-​dollar with the packages that they offer.
A standard pedi will run you $ 25, however they offer a couple different additional packages such adding either a sea scrub, or hot stone massage for just three dollars more. Already included in the package is nail shaping, cuticle cleaning, paraffin wax, callus removal, warm towel wrap and polish (lots of colors to choose from). A deluxe pedi is only $ 35 dollars and includes everything under the sun. I’ve been to salons before where you only got the most basic of services for that price. Win!
The women at the spa were very polite, friendly, and did a super thorough job. The space itself feels a little empty and echo-​y but it is well maintained and modern. They offer you a complimentary beverage while being pampered, to include wine, champage, tea (thai or hot) etc.
In addition to Pedi’s (sorry I know not everyone is into their feet being touched!) They offer a full line of services to include full waxing (all the bits), Facials, Eyelash extensions and brow, beard and lash tinting, Cosmetic tattooing, Gel Manicures, Acrylics, Solar, Gel, Silk and on and on. This is the most complete salon I think I have ever been to.
If you are looking for a great mother daughter place, this is it! They are open 7 days a week and take walk ins… They even have a cute kids bear pedi chair. Awee!

Horrible. Inconsistent, not professional or friendly, tools do not appear to be sanitized correctly. My pedicure was actually painful, the gentleman doing it complained about several aspects of his job and made it obvious that he could care less about my comfort– WORST PEDICURE EVER.

The people here are very friendly, give you great extras such as wine and snacks, have an awesome selection of shellac colors, and give great service. I’ve always enjoyed my experience here and no matter where I’m living around town I will drive to jantzen beach to get my nails done. It’s worth it!
