For our day catering, we specialize in super fresh, abundant and delicious meals with several Vegetarian, Pescetarian, Gluten-Free, Vegan Box Lunches & Low Sodium options. All of our meals are made from scratch using locally grown ingredients, packaged in re-usable and compostable containers.

Our Professional Food & Beverage services at nite features Bartenders & Servers for hire for clients hosting private parties in private homes & rental Halls. We’re Licensed, Bonded, Commercially & Liquor Liability Insured!

We manage the details of serving, replenishing the buffet, Bar-tending, packing up leftovers and the cleaning up after invitees.

Ordering Take Out for your Special Event, Wedding, Party or celebration, then hire «It’s a Wrap» to deal with the party refreshments so that you can relax and enjoy your guest!

Established in 2011.

After working in the Restaurant, Catering & Hospitality Industry for over 23 years, Elita Mitchell decided to start her own business providing a special attention to detail and customer service that celebrates Life and Fine Dining!

We enjoy taking care of our customers and believe in going out of our way to do everything we can to help our clients put on a great party for their guest!

Elita Mitchell of «It’s A Wrap», grew up cooking as the oldest of 7 children in her single mother household at the age of 4. Raised on a farm in Meridian Mississippi before be transplanted to sunny Berkeley, California. Elita learned how to organically garden and create meals with freshly harvested fruits and vegetables and to appreciate whole foods at an early age. It was this southern upbringing that planted a seed for what would become a lifelong passion for creating super fresh and nutritious meals on a tight budget that not only tasted delicious and hearty but that also «filled you up» both physically & spiritually!

Elita has been working 23+ years in the Restaurant, Catering & Hospitality Industry, in both the front & back of the house as position ranging from busser, hostess, waiter, cocktailer, bartender, prep cook, Sous Chef to Executive Chef. Throughout her years of service, they’re a few things Elita knows for sure: people love great food & excellent service!

I found It’s A Wrap (Elita Mitchell) for my stepson’s Fall wedding. The bride and groom had some very specific ideas about how they wanted things to go, so finding a caterer/serving service that wasn’t going to also provide the food was practically impossible. Initially, Elita agreed and signed up to help with set-up, food service and clean up only. As the months progressed, plans continued to change and evolve. Elita handled these changes with ease and worked very hard to accommodate their wishes. By the time the wedding arrived, Elita and It’s A Wrap ended up catering the wedding and doing all the prep, service and clean up.
In an unusual turn, the bride and groom wanted pasta dishes for the meal. The pasta dishes Elita and her crew made were fantastic and fresh and included meat, vegetarian and vegan options. If you have ever made pasta in quantity, you know it is not easy to keep it fresh and hot (especially on a warm, summer day outdoors!) but they managed and it was delightful. A couple of days before the wedding, the original dessert plan fell through. Elita was able to network her resources and put together a spectacular cupcake variety and chocolate-covered strawberry display that was not only beautiful but also sinfully delicious. This was a challenging event to plan for a number of reasons but Elita really rose to the challenge. I truly appreciated her «go-getter» attitude and her ability to roll with the changes in plans (and there were many). Elita was able to take a lot of things off everyone’s proverbial plates so that they could concentrate on the special day at hand. This is what you need and what you want in a caterer. The day turned out beautifully. No one left hungry. And the bride and groom were able to mingle and enjoy their day with their families and friends.
We would recommend Elita and It’s A Wrap without hesitation. Most caterers may have flat out refused to make/do some of the changes (last minute and otherwise) or would have tripled your cost. Elita did not do that and the additional cost was totally in keeping with the additional food and services provided. These kinds of major life events are truly special but also they can be stressful! Elita and her crew will get you through and you will come out the other side to a beautiful event.
