Hostess House Bed and Breakfast is a quiet, tidy getaway, in a modest neighborhood, in the heart of Portland, «City of Roses». The inn is near a city bus line and major arterials connecting visitors to the Columbia Gorge, Mt. Hood, the Willamette valley, Mt. St. Helen, and our beautiful Pacific Coastline. Hostess House is centrally located for visiting museums, antique shops, nature trails, historic/​scenic sites and numerous wineries in the Portland metropolitian area.

Down home hospitality includes a delectable breakfast seved in the dining room overlooking a parklike, terraced backyard. Innkeeper is a home economist and award winning cook. Special diets.

Our two rooms are furnished with queen beds with private bath. Comfy robes are provided plus many bathroom amenities. There is free parking, free wireless internet access and free laundry facilities.

I came to Portland and had to book last minute and the hostess house was one of the best options. Breakfast was delicious, and Milli is a great storyteller.

Hostess House Bed and Breakfast is a b & b that reminds me why I love bed and breakfasts.
It’s a simple ranch house with antique furniture dated back to the 50s. The furniture is well restored.
The reason this place is so special is Millie, the Innkeeper. She is very hospitable, helpful, and has a nurturing nature. She was very helpful in informing my husband and I not only the weather but places to visit. She recommended Washington Park’s Rose Garden and that was worth the visit.
Millie is a wonderful cook.
You need to try the German Apple Pancakes — Que delicioso! They were light and fluffy and the apples maintained their flavor.
The Spinach Quiches was amazing as well.
It was fun chatting with the other guests and Millie as well.
