Business Owner

Brian is a Master Barber who’s career began in 2002. He started out in a traditional apprenticeship program in Lake Forest, CA, studying under a group of highly skilled and experienced barbers. Over the years Brian has developed a razor sharp set of classic barbering skills of his own, with a masterful ability to bring traditional techniques to the day’s ever-​changing styles. As a Master Barber, Brian focuses on growing and passing on his knowledge of the trade to barber professionals and patrons alike.

As a shop owner, Brian’s ultimate focus is on quality service and an enjoyable experience. Come on by for a great cut and start up a conversation with Brian about the Timbers, camping, craft beers, football, politics, biking, local restaurants…

Great barbershop! There’s a new barber that started 6 days ago. I just received my best hair cut in Portland yet! She does a great job and is very pleasant! Super happy with the cut! :)

New in town, scheduled an appointment online. You can make reservations with certain employees but not knowing anybody and seeing some of the shop’s work online I figured I would be safe with whoever I could see on short notice. Back home I’d been seeing the same barber for years so I was a bit apprehensive about letting somebody new cut my hair.
First impression of the shop when I get there was good.
Both chairs were full and there were people waiting. The employees and other customers were speaking to each other by name so they’d obviously been in before. Good music was playing and I was offered a beer while I waited. There was cola, coffee, and I think I saw a bottle of whiskey too.
My appointment was scheduled with Kimberly. Very professional and knows what she’s doing. The outcome was just what I was looking for. I ended up making my next appointment before I left.
Prices are comparable to everything else I saw online. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in need of a trim.

Wow. I had my hair cut by Jen. Talk about attention to detail! I like a nice tight fade and she went above and beyond. Watching her as she worked and the attention she paid to the difficult portions of my hair to cut just made me happy. She was awesome to talk to and the shop has that feel of a true barbershop. I will definitely be going back!

My husband walked in without and appointment a few weeks ago and was helped by Branden. My husband is very picky in how he gets his hair cut and sometimes the barber would take 45 mins just to fix and deliver but Branden was able to get it spot on. Everything looks great! We live all the way out in Aloha and we’re taking the drive to see him again today.

What a great place to get a men’s haircut.
Everyone I met was super awesome and friendly.
When you arrive you can even grab a beer or whiskey, which umm totally rocks.
My barber was Jen and she asked what I was looking for, cut my hair awesomely, and was great person to chat with while getting the cut. Thanks a million Jen!
I recommenced any guy looking for a cut go to E Burnside Heritage Barbershop… well worth it!

I prefer not to give out too many 5-​star reviews… but I can’t think of anything I dislike about this place. Bob did a fantastic job on my hair, first and foremost. I like that it doesn’t cost $ 60 like some of the stylists I’ve seen in the past. The atmosphere is great, it’s relatively easy to get an appointment, and I can even have a beer while I wait. I really like these guys. Keep up the good work!

The guys are very entertaining– these barbers love to banter! This is a mans spot. My boyfriend is a model and goes in about every 10 days– his hair always looks fresh– and they offer free clean ups within the week of the cut. Real barbershop

Very happy that I found Heritage, as I moved to PDX in February and I’m picky about my hair (it’s somewhat hard to cut and I’ve had a hair stylist friend cutting it for years).
I’m unsure how easy the drop ins are but their online booking system is very easy to use. I always go to Jen and she’s super friendly and knows her stuff. I receive compliments on the cuts all the time. I’ve had a little bit of experience with Brian and he seems to be a hair guru. Prices are in line with similar places. Check them out if you need a cut!

OK, so a week out, I’m prepared to give my appraisal for the haircut, itself.
I’m impressed. Usually, it takes me a lot longer to warm up to a cut, but I already like what I see. Very neatly done and precise, yet it looks natural, and not at all severe.
I’m going to keep it rated at 4 out of 5 for the reasons I articulated in the earlier review, but I would definitely consider returning here the next time I need my hair cut.

Just moved here from Oklahoma and for me one of the hardest things about moving almost is having to find a new barber, one that fits your style. I always get a high fade or some minor variant of the cut. Oddly enough people out there can jack up such a relative easy hair cut. Not these guys though! Jennifer helped me to look somewhat human again. Thanks to her, I found my new barber.
Love this shop too! It’s like taking a bit of a step back in time. Decent prices, complimentary drinks, good conversation, and damn good haircut? Who can beat that?

Dropped into Heritage for a hot shave on a Sunday afternoon. There was a very short wait before I was called, and I had the best hot shave of my life.
The barber had New Orleans style soul playing, Deportes en Espanol on the TV, and a great, relaxed vibe.
Most importantly, he took his time on my shave. I left without any irritation, razor burn, or discomfort even with my sensitive skin. Great hot shave!
