We are a Naturopathic clinic that specializes in physical medicine and sexual health. Our physical medicine focuses on pelvic floor therapy, Holistic Pelvic Care™ and hand, head, and neck rehab. Sexual health includes gynecological care, male pelvic health, transgender care, and sexual therapy. We treat each patient as an individual. All of the treatments and rehabilitation therapies are geared to bring the patient back to their optimal health.

History

Established in 2010.

Hands On Natural Medicine was founded by Dr. Jill Ghormley. She practiced at various clinics throughout the Seattle and Portland area before decided to open her own doors. Hands On Natural Medicine pays tribute to the power of touch and physical rehabilitation for our bodies.

As a child, Dr. Ghormley was misdiagnosed by more than 27 doctors before her grandmother discovered her deafness at age four. Through this experience she developed a fascination with medicine and a desire to understand how the body works. Today, her deafness serves as an incredible asset to her abilities as a physician. It really is true that the loss of one sense enhances the other senses. In addition to her extraordinary lip reading skills and fluent speaking ability, Dr. Ghormley is exceptionally attuned to her patients’ visual cues, olfactory cues (smell), and energetic cues.

A graduate of Bastyr University, Dr. Ghormley is the first licensed deaf Naturopathic physician in the United States.

Dr. Ghormley utilizes an in-​depth understanding of how the muscles hold themselves in relationship to the nervous system. She investigates how a patient’s brain communicates with their body and uses that insight to re-​educate the brain and body to work in harmony.
