Hands On Art & Play, Inc.

This is my daughters second year and she loves it! She is so excited to go to school to learn, play, and do art projects. The teachers are incredible!!! They are very kind and patient with the kids. I have a younger daughter who will also attend preschool here as soon as she is old enough. There are also great after school activities for the kids. My daughter is doing ballet and yoga after school. This school has been the best choice for my family and I would highly recommend it.

Our 3yo and 4yo are both in their second year and love it. They are proud of their art projects and assigned jobs in the classroom. They like to sing the songs they’ve learned in class and look forward to seeing friends they’ve made. The instructors go out of their way to plan special projects, occasionally have musicians and other educators visit the class and celebrate holidays and birthdays in really inclusive, fun ways. They also work with the kids on some basic academics (letter recognition, a little writing, days of the week, seasons, etc.) in a fun way which I’m thrilled about. Overall, my kids look forward to going to school and we couldn’t be happier with Hands On!

My son attended their summer program and has has been attending their 4-​year-​old class for about a month now. So far I am very impressed! The teachers appear kind, calm, and welcoming. They frequently give me positive and specific feedback when I pick up my son.
It’s a play-​based program, but there is also a fun academic component to prepare the kiddos for kindergarten. I like the balance between play-​based learning and a little bit of more «formal» instruction. My son comes home excited to tell me about the letters of the week and the sounds they make. I’ve also noticed that his vocabulary has just exploded over the past month that he’s attended this school.
I absolutely love that they include science in their curriculum! The day after we had a lunar eclipse, my son came home telling me all about an experiment they did demonstrating what happens during an eclipse. They also completed an art project related to this lesson.
Overall, I am so pleased that we have found this school, and would recommend it to others.
