Awesome, family friendly ballpark. Expect to pay about $ 5 or $ 10 to park. Tickets are relatively inexpensive, the concessions are a little pricey. The Seadogs are affiliated with the Boston Red Sox. Highly recommended for baseball fans and families alike.
Baseball the way it should be!

Hadlock Field has a place in my heart because I remember growing up in this area and attending games with my family and friends. The stadium is clean and the staff is always very friendly. The food has always been good, classic stadium food. They have some good beers on tap and Angry Orchard cider. Every thing is kind of expensive, but it’s expected.
I love that you can see future Red Sox players. Also, the tickets are very affordable and there isn’t really a bad seat in the house. Summertime is the season and the atmosphere creates a good time for all.

What can I say… Red Sox affiliated team, tickets are cheap (no bad seat in the place), and beers like Sea Dog and Shipyard are only $ 5.50!!!

History lessons with Steffasaurus: Opened on April 18^th, 1994, Hadlock Field (named after Edson Hadlock Jr., a baseball coach at Portland High School from 1950 – 1978) is home to the minor league baseball team, the Portland Sea Dogs (I believe a couple area high school baseball teams also get to play here). It can seat over 7,300 people. Originally, the Sea Dogs were the affiliate team for the Florida Marlins, but in 2003 that switched to the Boston Red Sox. Hadlock Field then incorporated Fenway-​esque features like a «Maine Monster», a Citgo sign, and a Coke bottle as well. Other notable features of Hadlock Field?: a lighthouse rises out from the centerfield fence area whenever a home team player hits a homer or if the Sea Dogs win.
And they sell Sea Dogs Biscuits. Which — along with a beer — might be one of the most divine things to consume at a baseball game. Two perfect chocolate chip cookies sandwiching the right amount of creamy vanilla ice cream? And for a little more than $ 3? YES, PLEASE. For me, it truly is an ideal food to eat outside while watching a game in the summer. Sometimes the young gentleman selling them can be weirdly territorial (recently I couldn’t buy my Sea Dog Biscuit from one vendor because «I wasn’t sitting in his section»), but it makes for kind of a fun game of cat and mouse.
The seating at Hadlock is comfortable for a baseball stadium, but better yet… IT’S SUPER AFFORDABLE. As an adult: a Box Seat will run you $ 10, Reserved (actual seats where you get to choose the area you want to be — my preferred option always) is $ 9, GA (the benches; first come, first serve in this area regarding where you sit) is $ 8, US Cellular Pavillion is $ 9, and Sky View Seats is $ 9. So basically that’s about the same price for the movies, cheaper than bowling, and cheaper than dinner out. Also, they’re also great at doing fun/​promotional things throughout the season… fireworks, princess and pirate parties for the kids, «business luncheons», bobblehead giveaways, etc.
The stadium is clean, easy to navigate, and is filled with (usually) very friendly people (the beer folks a little less so, but the nice men who’ll help you to your seat? SO. NICE.). It’s probably the best minor league sports stadium/​arena/​fill-​in-​the-​blank that I’ve been to between Albany, NY and St. John, NB, Canada.
Coming here, watching the Sea Dogs, it’s an absolute MUST every summer!

Hadlock is a great field. Very affordable, and lots of entertainment between innings for younger kids. The food isn’t quite at major league pricing, but I wouldn’t really call it cheap.
Parking can be a pest, especially if you arrive early for the second game of a double header. Still, lots of fun!

It’s a clean stadium where you can get good, quality, AFFORDABLE food and affordable entertainment for good, clean wholesome fun with family, friends or just attend by yourself.

What an adorable ball park!
I had a such a great time watching a Portland Seadog’s game on Sunday.
In between innings there are cute games — usually played by children — like race the mascot around the bases or musical inflatable chairs.
When the Seadog’s hit a home run — a light house rises over the outfield wall and fireworks go off!
It’s a AA ballpark so there’s a good chance you’re watching players who you’ll later see on the Red Sox.
The seats are great and spacious. The food prices are reasonable — $ 3.25 for a hot dog.
If you’re used to games at Fenway Park — Hadlock Field will make you pinch yourself. (But in a good way!)

This minor league ballpark is everything I need in an MiLB park, and a very welcome change from the huge MLB stadiums. The seats are fine, tickets are easy to purchase, food and drinks aren’t as unreasonable as at other stadiums, and while parking can get tricky if you arrive too close to the opening pitch, you can legitimately ride your bicycle to this stadium and chain it up outside. Plus, the Seadogs are just really fun to watch!

As a fan of watching minor league ballgames in person, I decided to check out a Portland Sea Dogs game at Hadlock Field. Prices and amenities were reasonable, and I was able to quickly buy a ticket to the game. You have your typical concessions, plus the Shipyard Grill. Seating is comfortable, even in the general admission sections. There’s a few bells and whistles, which is standard at any ballpark. This is an enjoyable place to watch a ballgame.

This place is the perfect place to see a great baseball game in the summer time. The facility has the look & feel of an old time ball field but the walkways, bathrooms & concessions are still modern. The mixture of these elements making sitting in the stands a pleasure. The ticket prices are fair & the concessions will not brake the bank. I will come back again next summer & soak in 9 innings under the Portland sun.
