Grupp and Rose Photography is a full-​service professional studio serving Portland and the Pacific NW, offering wedding photography, professional headshots and business portraits for business, corporate, professionals, politicians, actors, entertainers. Commercial product, food, fashion and advertising photography. Real estate photography, boudoir, bpix, and model portfolios.

We offer video production for concerts and music videos.

On the post-​production side, we offer retouching and photo editing, design and layout of photo books and albums, video editing, and photo restoration.

History

Established in 2006.

Paul opened his first photo studio in San Diego in 2003. In 2005, he moved to NY to become a staff photographer for the NY State Senate. During his time there, he met Brenda Rose, and soon after they opened their Upstate Photographers studio in the basement of Brenda’s country house in 2006.

In 2008, while bringing the CEO of a large multinational corporation down the stairs to our basement studio, we decided we wanted to present a more professional image than our basement, and we moved the studio to a storefront on Broadway in Troy, NY.

At the end of 2012, the need for more space led us to move to a loft studio equipped for everything from commercial food photography to fashion, professional headshots to promo pix for bands and musicians.

Then in the summer of 2015, seeking a larger market and bigger challenges, we moved to Portland, Oregon, and we couldn’t be happier with our new home town!
