Green Choice Pest Control

HORRIBLE. I needed a crawlspace/​pest inspection as part of my home buying process and was told that Green Choice offered this service. When I called them, they confirmed that they could do so only if the homeowner authorized the inspection and set it up. Clearly they do not have a good understanding of the real estate process because it is not the seller’s responsibility to set up inspections and this policy simply defies LOGIC!!!
Because we were given no other choice, we begged the seller’s agent to have the homeowner call them to set it up — which they graciously did. However, Green Choice can’t keep track of their calls and still did not allow me to schedule the inspection. They were a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME and will never get my business.

This place sucks! THIS PLACE IS UNPROFESSIONAL, INCONSISTENT, AND UNRELIABLE!!! If you need a one time service during the weekday, maybe. But if you are looking for continued service and maybe weekend work STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They have horrible customer service. I scheduled an appointment twice for Saturday service and the technician never showed up. I wasted my whole day waiting on them to arrive and no one came or called. If you have a weekend appointment and the technician doesn’t arrive, there is no person you can talk to because this company is opened for live customer service during the weekday, even though they schedule appointments on the weekends (no live representative for weekend appointments). When I called Monday to complain, the receptionist was rude. The manager tried to make the situation better by providing me a discount on my next service. When the guy showed up for my service, he said we need to meet again in 30 days. I was ready to set the date, but he told me don’t worry about it a receptionist would call me in 30 days. When I didn’t receive a call, I called back to schedule my appointment. They said since I was pass my 30 days, then it would cost more. When I asked why didn’t I receive a call. They said someone called me. When I asked did they leave a message because I didn’t receive a call, they couldn’t answer the question. This place is inconsistent and wants you to pay for their mistakes with your time and money. There are more professional, consistent, reliable businesses that provide the same services for better prices. Please don’t waste your time. You will be disappointed!!!

Even though this company advertises being «green», I was told by their service tech that their green products don’t work so they don’t use them much. I lived in Texas where the pest control company had to deal with scorpions and they controlled the problem with a totally green product. At that point I decided to go ahead because I was so bothered with the ant problem. Then I found out they don’t even guarantee their service! My old company resprayed FOR FREE within 90 days.

Use caution with this company. First off, the people are very friendly. The service people are nice and felt very comfortable around them. They insisted on a multi-​plan to deal with our spider problem. I let them retain a credit card on file. Everything was fine for a year, although I never saw a reduction in our spider issue. It had more to do with not leaving lights on at night to attract food for the spiders, That ended up being 10 times more efficient that whatever they sprayed. The last 6 months, they’ve just showed up randomly during the day while at work, without pre-​authorization, With a receipt on my door being charged in full for an incomplete job (since no one was home and the dog was in the backyard– what did they spray, the porch?). So I apparently racked up an $ 80 charge that is now in collections for non-​payment. Stick with one time only charges if you use them, the continual, LETS KEEP YOUR CARD ON FILE routine is crap. and they have no problem letting you take the brunt of the responsibility.

Office girls are bitchy, rude and unprofessional. No customer service skills.
It was worse under the 1^st yr contract, after your contract is up they are nicer. Due to them possibly loosing your service. After the whole Target fraud incident my bank sent us new cards and I did not update with them due to my over site and busyness. They treated me rudely, in compassionately and unprofessionally!!! I even had the money! I finally quit services with them after 3 years, due to this treatment. Nicer during slow season lol Get a new job, ladies it obvious you don’t like your job! I own 2 businesses and would not want that energy representing my company!
Go with a different Eco-​friendly service ;)

I started using this service over a year ago and used there quarterly service. Before doing so I was very specific on my request as this is a rental property. I asked them they they needed my permission to be on the property and I had to be present during each visit. Living in an HOA community the home owners can be very protective. I would receive calls mentioning they are on the way or at the property without making the appointment thru me. I was very clear what my days off were and the specific arrangements. Each time they would apologize and make those notes for the next time. The last straw was today. After talking to them on the September 10^th and 11^th 2013 mentioning I was not able to set up a time right away, they went ahead and provided service the following day. An appointment was NEVER made or scheduled and of course they bill me. I spoke to the manager today and explained my concern and to never call me again as I was done with them. I will pay the bill not knowing if anything was done. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AS THEY ARE A SCAM. For what they do quarterly, I would recommend just go to your local grocery store and purchase what you need for less than a quarter what they charge.

I had Green Choice out to my house to solve an ant problem and take care of two bees nest one in ground and the other in a vent on the roof. They did a great job with the bees

DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY!!! They came to my home to spray for sugar ants. I was told the product they were spraying my foundation with was brand new and would repel ants for 90 days. It didn’t work at all!!! My house was filled with ants 3 days later and upon inspection if noticed lines of ants walking up my foundation directly across the border they had sprayed. I was then told by a company official they would not return to my house for 30 days because it was «illegal.» I couldn’t even get the service tech to return to look at the problem. These company is a sham and it is run by con artists. PLEASE DON“T USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SCAMMED LIKE I WAS!!! The reason they have the cheapest prices is because their products do not work, so they can continually come back and charge you more money for reapplication of their garbage products. Go with Terminex or one of the larger companies, they may be expensive but they aren’t in the business of conning customers.

We had a rodent problem and they came out to investigate. This was a Saturday so I was impressed that they came right out.
My issue with his company is that they way overbid what turns out to be a very minor issue. They wanted to refurbish the crawlspace to the tune of almost $ 3000 citing extensive rat contamination. They did provide a cheaper option, but even that was close to $ 1000. I feel they also used a bit of scare tactic on my wife. In any event we called another company to check it out as well. After their inspection they concluded that it wasn’t even rats, but a couple mice. They also said that it would be easy enough for me to handle on my own if I wanted and even provided instructions. They would have done the work for us for $ 350, but we opted to handle it on our own.
Long story short they overbid based on fear tactics or their own inexperience. I would stay away.

We used Green Choice to deal with 19 sump pumps in crawlspaces in our community. I cant say enough good things about these people. Eric was so helpful & I learned so much from him. He was very good in his inspection. He showed up on site everyday and let me know what was going on. They only went over I think once on the bid. It was something that no way he could have seen it before hand. The guys on the crew where great. Very nice young men. Our home owners just loved having them around. Jordan is very nice to talk with. Never got to meet him. Carly was wonderful in replying to ALL my emails. These are the kind of people that makes a company good. Hope Green Choice knows how lucky they are to have such wonderful people working for them. You guys are great. Thank you. See you at the yearly inspections.

I called this morning about getting an estimate for carpenter ants as we knew there was a problem when we bought the house and now we’re seeing them out and about in our bedroom. Carly was nice and able to schedule an appointment to have somebody come out and give it a look today. Nathan was amazing. Not only was he nice and personable he taught me about the different kinds of ants and also how to help prevent them from spreading even after treatment. No upsell, just a basic here’s what I’d suggest. I felt completely comfortable trusting his opinion and he went right to work. Wasn’t even expecting to get the service today but so glad we did! I had a very, pretty much identical experience as the negative feedback above. I just moved in to a new house and called these guys out for a free inspection. They checked everything out, said I had an mouse problem and based on rules by the CDC, I had to remove my insulation in my crawl space. He kept mention the CDC requires by law to get this done. This was not an option but mandatory. This company also takes pictures of the crawl space for evidence (more on that later). I asked the guy to rate how bad the problem from 1−10(being the worst), he said a 6 – 7 out of 10. Total estimate cost would be over $ 4000. After the inspection, a day later, I emailed them to receive the pictures that was taken of my crawlspace only to be notified that they were already erased. I decided to have 3 other free inspections done to see what they thought. Not of the other 3 could find any reason to rip apart my crawlspace insulation. Also, at the time of Green Choice’s inspection, I had a locksmith installing locks and he later told me he wanted to step in and say something after he heard the inspectors recommendations. Green Choice was 4x more in estimation costs than the next highest estimate, 10x more than the one I eventually choose due honesty, not price reasons as he wasn’t the cheapest of the 4. I’m not saying not to go with this company, just get a few bids first before making a decision to see what’s out there. No this is not a competitor, I do have the estimation papers that I kept. One more thing, I am now in my 3^rd week of treatment with the company I chose, so far, no signs of mouse infestation.

I called because we had a yellow jacket nest by my bedroom window, hidden underneath bamboo that had overgrown. This was a terrible job to not only dig around and find the nest in all that bamboo, but to destroy the entire nest in one hour. That’s what «Craig» did at my house today. I’m blown away by his care and attention to my initial statement that I only had $ 150 for the job plus tip. He not only kept it under, but he was here an hour and a half and it was only 124.00, and the YELLOW JACKETS ARE GONE!!!
I am THRILLED with this company and I’m so sad the other person had a bad rep or whatever happened. Ask for Craig. He’s awesome!
