Gateway Upholstery

Richard Pike, the owner of the shop @ the same location for several decades, was a lot of things to a lot of people. He was an upholsterer, gives great customer service, makes small repairs, even taught me how to get my upholsterer done, and he helps the children during Christmas by driving up to the Shrine Hospital each year, with his motorcycle buddies.
I’ve been going there for upholstery done, for over 19 years. One time, he just couldn’t make the demands anymore, even though I have a party coming, he stayed up all night trying to get my sofa finished, and got it delivered to my house, just hours before the party started. That’s DEDICATION!
For some reason, Richard went missing in action. The last time I went to his shop, there was a note @ his door, and ever since then, he was nowhere to be found.
Anyone with information, about the business, I’d surely want to KNOW!
UPDATE: My husband sent the following to me today: Richard «Dick» Lee Pike passed away peacefully in Portland, Oregon while surrounded by his loving family. He lost his battle with cancer on Aug. 24^th, 2011. Dick received his military burial on Aug. 29^th at Willamette National Cemetary where his father Clifford is also buried. He was loved by all who knew him.
