I asked for an appointment. She said book online. I asked if I could see the tariff card. She said look online.

Gina is awful! I had a terrible terrible experience with the keratin treatment she did on my hair. I was 30 minutes late for my appointment due to bad traffic and had told her ahead of time and out of respect I skipped the color service and only opted for the treatment so I wouldn’t keep her for longer than she had initially planned. She kept complaining when I got there saying my hair was too thick and she wasn’t planning on spending so much time on me as she had to go for the other job. What the hell!!! That should’ve been my first cue!
Nevertheless, I ended up doing the treatment only for it to wash away in less than 3 days. She also kept cutting my bangs the wrong way and would not listen. when I called in 3 days about the quality of my hair, she started yelling at me saying my hair is «not magically» going to get perfect. I mean, excuse me??? I have never regretted paying so much money for such shitty work!!! For the price she charges and the minimal quality of her work, the least she could have is a decent sense of customer service. But she doesn’t!
The owner of this salon did not even bother to respond to my calls or my emails!!!
Save your money and save your dignity and AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

The smoothing treatment by Gina ruined my hair. I purchased the Groupon with Gina after I called to make sure it would work for my fine hair that gets frizzy in humidity. She assured me it would and told me to do my color first. The smoothing treatment stripped the color from my hair, made my hair limp and greasy looking so that I had to start washing it daily, and gave me a ton of split ends. I contacted Gina who flat out refused to do anything to try to help me. She didn’t even want me to send her pictures of my hair. She even suggested that I try to get a refund from Groupon, for a service that she rendered.
I also sent an email to the salon owner, but he neglected to respond at all.
I contacted the manufacturer of the solution, Keratherapy, who have been great, sent me free products to try try and make up for it. The manufacturer said that #1 based on my before pic they wouldn’t have recommended the treatment for my texture of hair at all, and #2 the color was stripped because the iron was either too hot for my texture or she made too many passes with it. They have been trying to contact Gina to discuss what went wrong, but that has come to nothing.
I understand that things happen sometimes with chemical treatments, but the lack of customer service that I received from this salon in beautiful downtown Portland was appalling.

This was hands-​down the best experience I’ve ever had at a salon. I agree with Teresa when she says «Kevin is a hair GOD», I had the «Japzilian» treatment done, & would not have been able to sit in a chair for 6 hours straight with anyone else– he was hilarious, detail-​oriented, and very knowledgable. I drove for 4 hours just to see him (because off his positive reviews) and will be returning in the near future to have him cut & color my hair– he’s that great. I love my new hair

Simply the Best place in town to get a Brazilian blowout. Kevin is a wizard!!! I’m Brazilian and I know what I’m talking about. :)

I finally bit the bullet and decided to go through the lengthy and pricey japzillian blowout. Kevin made the experience wonderful! He is patient, kind, hilarious, and so efficient! He listened to what I wanted and truly cared. I couldn’t believe my eyes when we were done! I can actually wear my hair down for the first time in over a decade. If you’re wanting straight, sleek, and sexy hair Kevin is the guy to see!

I’m so glad I discovered G squared and Kevin. He’s patient, always positive, and incredibly talented. I have fine curly hair like a toddler and only a couple of people have ever been able to cut it so it looks good. Kevin makes it look perfect every time. He thinks about the big picture and gives me expert tips so I can keep my hair happy, healthy and stylish in the long term. He’s also an absolute dear and has the best flowing blonde locks you’ve ever seen– a walking advertisement for haircuts!

As I’ve recently started coloring my hair darker, I’ve been wanting to try eyebrow tinting, but have been nervous to do it. Mandy did not disappoint! I waited to grow out my brows so I could get a nice wax too & she was excellent at giving them shape & definition. I will definitely be back!

I have been going to Kevin for 3+ years. The haircuts are consistently great, he listens to what you want. I think he wins the prize for color highligts too. I am 69 so I surely don’t want the color to be white or gray, and yet not yellow or gold. His highlights are perfect, soft, warm and the color is natural.

Kevin has done wonders for my wife’s hair. She is so happy with his attention to detail and the fact she has beautiful hair again thanks to the blow out process he does. Plus his shop is beautiful and provides free parking. She has really thick curly hair that used to take over an hour to dry and style after a visit with Kevin she is ready to go in ten minutes. Kevin is a miracle worker. Plus his shop has a great facial person, Mandy, who does an amazing facial and cleared up my skin issues in two visits. Kevin and Mandy are the best.

Kevin is a hair GOD! I had very thick, curly hair and I wanted it straight. I did my research to make sure I knew what I was doing. Even after all the research, I was still a little afraid. But I should not have been. Kevin took care of me like no hair stylist has done it before. We agreed to do the Japanese Thermal Straightening and the Brazilian blowout together because of my hair type. The process is long and expensive, but I would do it ALL OVER again. Kevin is very funny, fast and knowledgeable about both processes. The results were unbelievable! I have no more curls and my hair looks soooooooooo natural & healthy (it does not look like I had it straightened). It has movement and it is sooooooo shinning! Every where I go people compliment my hair and the person to thank is Kevin! From now on he is my hair stylist.

Love, love Kevin. From my long curly cut and color to consistently great cuts for the husband, you can’t go wrong here. Product recommendations are spot on and my hair hasn’t ever been this healthy.

If you’re looking for japanese straightening or brazilian keratin treatment this is the place to go! Kevin is the best, he does a combination of the two he calls the «Japzilian» and it is the best straightening I’ve ever gotten. My hair’s always smooth and shiny and straight when I leave the salon and last looking great with minimal effort for months. I have very thick and curly/​frizzy hair and I’ve been to a number of places in the area but now that I’ve found Kevin I can totally tell the difference in the quality of his work and I won’t be going anywhere else.
