My work as a massage therapist began in 2002 in a multidisciplinary clinic in Portland. In this practice I worked side by side with chiropractors and acupuncturists in treating a high volume of clients. The work was invaluable, as I was able to learn from their skill sets as well as refine my own. It was here that I first began treating specific injuries, car accidents, and chronic pain.

After my initial schooling at East West College of the Healing Arts, I spent several months traveling through south east Asia and studied some of the modalities of the region.

In my current practice, I have incorporated these skills as well as the medical massage techniques I gained early on, to create a unique and effective style of bodywork that is both relaxing and results oriented.

As my practice has grown I have brought in an additional therapist, Rachael Meador. She offers deep tissue work that is centered in grounding energy balancing. She is a wonderful asset to the studio.

I went in with some lower back pain, and Jessica not only helps you immediately, but gives you tips along the way. She even took time to show me some stretches and other things I can do to help control/​defeat the pain.

Nori of Fusion Bodyworks gave me an incredibly relaxing massage today! 60 minutes felt like 120 or more. I felt so calm and dreamy all throughout. Her touch was deep, to a pressure that worked for me, yet I got the impression that she could have gone much harder on someone who was up to it. I am interested in craniosacral therapy and Nori incorporated this modality for me. Of course, the head, scalp and neck areas are always my favorite part of a massage and she did such an amazing job. The room is clean and atmosphere is just right for massage. Overall, I loved it, and I will be going back for sure!!!

I had the most amazing massage of my life from Jessica at Fusion Bodyworks. The space is very inviting and Jessica sets a tone of pure relaxation and peace. We decided on a combination of lymphatic massage and work on the pain in my neck that I seem to always have but had been made worse by a recent car accident. One of the highlights were the hot towels with eucalyptus oil — absolute heaven! Jessica has such a powerful healing touch — it is the day after and I feel wonderful. Before I left, I scheduled massages every Saturday for the rest of the month. Can’t think of a better investment in taking care of myself.

I travel every week for work — which can be exciting, but is also exhausting… and has completely wrecked my back.
Massage is one of the few things that really takes the discomfort of sleeping many early mornings and late nights on an airplane away, so I’ve definitely seen my fair share of massage parlors in Portland.
Fusion Bodyworks is BY FAR the best. Rachel does a fantastic job — definitely treat yourself to her hot stone massage — and is always friendly, fun to talk with and extremely professional.
I would recommend this place to anyone and actively try to recruit my friends to go here. I also love that you can schedule online and if you miss an appointment (because of your crazy work schedule if you’re like me…) Rachel is really understanding, which I really, really appreciate.

What can I say about Rachael? I want to write her the most glowing review EVER. I want to give her seven stars. I want everyone in Portland to go and see her. I want Rachael Meador’s soothing demeanor and magical hands to change your life. One time after a massage I was so happy and calm that I floated downstairs to Pin Me Apparel and bought like 300 dollars worth of clothes I couldn’t afford. True story.

Floaty, dreamy, wonderful, relaxing massage! I go to Rachael at Fusion, and she always gives me a great massage. She does a little of everything, some hot stone, some polarity, and some tabletop Thai along with flowy and smooth Swedish massage. In addition to giving a really good massage, the space at Fusion is really nice as well. It is comfy and spacious and has lots of funky little trinkets and photos and whatnots to look at as you’re getting ready for your session. Hooray for Fusion Bodyworks!
