Business Owner
I graduated from Birthingway College of Midwifery with a Bachelor degree in Midwifery. I started my midwifery practice, Full Bloom Midwifery in 2005. I am a Certified Professional Midwife licensed by the state of Oregon.
I believe that pregnancy and birth are normal, healthy functions, that women have the right to choose where and with whom they give birth, that most women can labor and birth without intervention, that healthy mothers and babies should remain together immediately after birth and that home is a safe and uniquely spiritual place to give birth.
As a Midwife, I provide continuous support to women during their pregnancy and labor. Communication is emphasized, and I focus on working with the mother to reduce the risk for complications during childbirth. I also focus on the needs of the family, and I encourage family participation in the birth. I pay special attention to the cultural values and personal preferences of the women in my care.
