Dustin is amazing. Love my haircut, and he’s warm, thoughtful, and a master conversationalist on really unexpected topics. Plus open-​minded, which was an awesome bonus given that we fall on such different sides of the political spectrum. I’ve never had such a deep conversation during a haircut. Also, he brilliantly repaired the horrible job I did cutting my own bangs. Thank you, Dustin!

I have always struggled finding a hair stylist that can cut my hair properly. UNTIL DUSTIN!!! He is AMAZING!!! I have always hated my hair, its to thin and wont hold curls and the cuts have always been uneven. I now have a style I never thought I could have and maintain so easily. I actually enjoying doing my hair of a morning. Dustin now has a new client for LIFE!

Please don’t go to this hair salon if you are any shade of brown and trying to go back blonde. I made an apt with Dustin after much research and this place seemed amazing but I can say it was probably the most horrific experience at a salon that I have ever had. I’m naturally a dark/​lightish blonde and for the past year I’ve done a light brown. well, spring is here and I decided I wanted my lighter look back and planned to spend a pretty penny to get it back to that shade. I also knew it wasn’t going to happen over night but had no clue that what happened would. Whatever Dustin did to my hair basically made it look a worse shade of brown than it was, with literally one streak of blonde on it. I looked like legit trailer trash. it was obvious he panicked and just said that we should bring it back brown. after 3+ hours at the salon I left with a darker shade than I arrived in. I felt truly disrespected by Dustin throughout the process, acting like ‘everything was okay’ when it was clearly not. I’ll praise the salon in the fact that they didn’t even ask me to pay, and though I left with my hair nothing like I wanted, it was a pretty shade of brown that I left with. They made it right in the end but DO NOT go here if you’re dark trying to go light.

Melody has been doing my hair for a little over a year, and I absolutely adore her. You can feel her positive energy as soon as she greets you at the door, and once you sit in her chair you can feel the passion behind the work she does. I love having a stylist who is able to listen and give me what I want, but is also able to point me in a great direction when I know I want change but I don’t know exactly which way to go. Melody delivers every single time. Getting my hair done ever feels like a chore, and she makes me feel absolutely beautiful every single time!

I have been seeing Melody for many years now at Fringe and she never disappoints. I left for a few years because of location but returned to her for a big hair cut change and didn’t trust any others to help me. So happy with my hair and color and always enjoy her company.

I just moved to Portland from LA and I didn’t have my hair done in over a year because I’m very picky on who does my hair but I looked this place up and got an appt with Dustin the next day!
I’m so happy with my hair. He was such a sweetheart, very kind, and helpful.
It came up to $ 150 and I had only planned on spending $ 130 but he did such an amazing job that I didn’t mind paying extra. My hair feels healthy and lighter!
I made another appt with Dustin for 6 weeks from now and can’t wait! Absolutely love him and he’s my go-​to hair stylist now!

I had my hair done by Dustin today and he is amazing. I’m blonde and it’s hard to get the right cool tone and he got it exactly the tone I wanted it. He did highlights, toning and a cut and I love it all. Also, he’s real fun to talk to! Definitely going back. Thanks Dustin :)

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Fringe! Jimmy is a miracle worker – he took my hair from a solid brunette to a golden, glowing blonde. He takes extreme care with all of the details of the treatment, color and cut, and the results speak for themselves! I always come into the salon with a partially formed idea of what I want to leave with my hair looking like, and Jimmy is amazing with helping me decide on what to do.
Something I have always hated about coloring my hair is the grow out. This has NOT BEEN A PROBLEM since Jimmy had been doing my hair! I now have blonde hair with roots that are blended to perfection. I couldn’t be happier my new color!
The entire staff of Fringe is friendly and welcoming. I have never felt rushed through an appointment, no matter what new cut or color I am looking to try. I am incredibly picky about my hair (ESPECIALLY when it comes to coloring) but Jimmy has done a fantastic job with my hair (and from what I’ve read of others reviews, you truly can’t go wrong with any of the stylists!)

Dustin is awesome and works with integrity. My hair takes work, blood, sweat, and tears, but for him it seemed effortless.
I was so anxious to find a good salon since I moved to PDX, considering I’ve been going to my stylist, who also happens to be my best friend, for nearly ten years. So I’m glad I found someone just as comparable who’s able to listen, give me the results that I want, and makes me feel pretty :)

I went to Fringe because I wanted a drastic change to the hair style I’ve ALWAYS had. I’ve never done anything fun or crazy with my hair so I figured better now than never!
I had never been to Fringe before, but everyone at the salon is very professional. It’s clean and very welcoming!
My hairstylist — Dustin — is amazing! I showed him a couple of pictures and explained the direction I was going and he totally understood what I wanted and explained any difficulty along the way that I may have so there were no surprises. He took great care of my hair and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. My hair turned out exactly how I wanted! It was so easy and I can’t say enough great things about Dustin as well as the salon! I highly recommend!

My stylist, Jimmy is absolutely amazing at what he does! I had originally been looking for a new stylist, but I now have a new friend too! He consults with me thoroughly before we begin, and he is always on the same page as me. He is attentive and knows how to deliver the results exactly as you specify them, not only that but he is genuinely excited to do so! Jimmy not only provides me with exceptional results with my hair, but his conversations are heartfelt. My hair is always gorgeous as ever all thanks to him.
I get both cut and hand painted color, and being a stylist myself I know how difficult hand painting is, but he is the most talented person I have worked with so far. I highly recommend getting in to see Jimmy, you will leave feeling better than you could have ever imagined, and you will have the hair you dream of every time! :)

Do you ever think «I just wish I had a great hair stylist who makes me look like a beauty queen every time I see him and is also a ray of sunshine»? Well, dreams do come true! His name is Jimmy and he works at Fringe! This guy has been doing my hair for a while and I always get compliments on my color! He’s given me some of the prettiest hair I’ve ever had. He also has an A+ personality and always takes the time to listen to what I want (and I’m a pain because I change my mind all the time). Go see Jimmy!

Jimmy is the best stylist I have been lucky enough to meet. I went from natural blonde to a beautiful dark brown which has held up for many more weeks than anticipated.
He took the time to be thoughtful about the color and really listened to the results that I desired and matched them spot on.

I’ve been going to Dustin since I moved to Portland and I won’t ever go to anyone else as log as I live in the area. I have very difficult hair but he’s done an amazing job, as well as being an awesome person. Highly recommend his work.

I recently moved from NYC to PDX.
My biggest fear? Finding a talented hair stylist with creative vision and knowledge of current trends.
Then, I found Katrina.
She isn’t a hair stylist; she’s an ARTIST.
Her passion for hair always translates into her work. After leaving the salon, multiple people ask me where I get my hair done. I direct them to Fringe Salon (although, I selfishly want to keep Katrina all to myself).
Bonus: She just happens to be the most beautiful, energetic, and friendly person you’ll ever meet.

Dustin was really lovely and so helpful! My hair was in no state to be seen by the general public, yet Dustin was more than happy to spend 10 minutes attempting to get out one knot (the largest he had seen in months apparently). Was totally willing to roll with my suggestions and I ended up with a much needed new cut.

The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the experience is relaxing, and the outcome of both of my visits was extremely satisfying. I went in with long, over coloured, and damaged hair, and came out with a fresh, soft, and beautiful cut and colour. I am so thankful for finding Fringe– and particularly thankful for Katrina Rodgers.

Got my hair done by Dustin. So sweet and personable! Listened to exactly what I wanted and provided it for me! I came in with a bad lowlight job and I was sooo skeptical! He kept assuring me it would come out 100% better and it sure did! Very natural and pretty colors. He definitely got himself a new client! Did a wonderful job and would highly recommend. :)
