You’d be a fool not to buy your bread here. Everything is so fresh and the prices beat the supermarket by far.

This place was pretty cool. I love Franz products so getting them at a discount was great! I got a loaf of bread, some jalapeño cheese bagels, and swiss rolls all for $ 4 which is great. There is a huge selection and the peach cobbler bread was definitely intriguing. Items that are close to their ‘best by’ date are heavily discounted. If you spend a certain amount you get to choose some free bakery items to take with you as well(I think it’s $ 10 and over). The lady in front of me spent $ 26 and got to pick four free items! The cashier was nice, parking was easy, the products were displayed and price marked well, and I will definitely be back!

I sort of stumbled onto this Franz Bakery Outlet Store … not like a drunkard, but by driving by on Foster, where it becomes a wider and sparsely traveled thoroughfare, mostly defined by industrial parks, east of I-205. I wanted to see what they had that I couldn’t get at the supermarket. As it turns out, stopping at the Franz Outlet made for a very good experience. Parking is ample, the store has a good feel to it, there is a vast selection of baked goods as well as stuff suited to impulse purchases, the employees are friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and making that left turn back out onto Foster to head west toward the freeway is easily done. Be sure to check the expiration date of whatever you buy. That responsibility falls on the consumer, as it would at the supermarket or any other store. This last time, the lady working there was very knowledgeable about the nutritional content of various items I was comparing. I don’t buy much but, during this last visit, I bought some incredible sourdough bread. The Franz family appears to have started this local business over 100 years ago. So, I’m thinking we have this Germanic family with roots in either Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or Luxembourg to thank for getting on the boat, crossing the pond, making the train trip across the states, and ending up in our Bavarian looking area to bake things for us. And, for all we know, there could have been or is a Hans Franz in their family tree.

Best place to buy fresh bread at super low prices. Their day old selection is even lower prices. They also offer military and veteran discounts everyday, 10% off!

This review is mostly for their English muffins. I’m eating now right now covered with strawberry cream cheese. I’m diabetic so i can’t eat a lot of bread at any one time due to the high amount of carbs found in all bread. Dave’s has a low carb bread that is pretty tasty but for your money Franz is the better of all the others in the English muffin category. The way they are shaped and cut is Superior to Orowheat and all the others in that when you toast it up you actually have 2 pieces that are relatively close to the same size. And even better is the chew, light and crunch on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I was recently at La Maison( ) and had their fresh house made English muffin with their Eggs Benedict(highly recommend) and Franz makes a factory muffin that, while not being anywhere near as good as La Maison, is the best of the factory made Muffins, IMHO. And what better place to buy them than a discount store? They freeze well too(unlike a lot of other bread) so you can stock up.
