History
Established in 2014.
Emily Buccola’s advocacy for a lifestyle promoting healthy nutrition and overall wellness began in 2001, after successfully coaching herself through a 20-pound weight loss. In pursuit of her passion, Emily completed her dietetic internship at OHSU– counseling patients with diabetes, kidney failure, heart disease, and obesity. She also has experience in community nutrition, foodservice and research, and has been a Registered Yoga Teacher since 2011.
Emily believes that healthy nutrition lays the foundation for one to flourish in life. A whole food, nutrient-dense diet reflective of moderation and variety-paired with daily physical movement in any form– is key. Being able to enjoy what you eat while maintaining healthy behavior for life can seem difficult; add the responsibilities of daily life to the mix and it sometimes seem impossible.
Emily knew this firsthand, and out of her desire to help people on their path to optimal health, Flourish Nutrition and Wellness was born.
