Specialties

We are a welcoming community centered in Christ’s love, joyfully reaching out together. Worship with Holy Communion every Sunday at 11 am (10 am in summer). Child care is provided during worship, and coffee hour follows service. Sunday School for ages 3 – 12 meets Sundays at 9:45 am during the school year. Adult class or Bible study also at 9:45. We partner with others to host a food pantry and grow food in community gardens on site. Each summer a week-​long Vacation Bible School welcomes kids with Bible stories, crafts, and games. Love music? Join our choir or hand bell choir, practicing Thursday nights. As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, we welcome people of every race, ethnic background, social status, physical limitation, sexual orientation and gender identity.

History

Established in 1879.

The congregation was founded by Swedish immigrants, and our building was dedicated in 1905. We don’t speak Swedish any more, but we continue to host a Swedish Christmas service at 7 am each Christmas morning.
