Uninterested in doing business with people. It was impossible to get anyone to stop and help us and answer any questions. We left after 40 minutes and went shopping elsewhere and spent our money with a company that took the time to work with us.

If I could give no stars I would. The absolute worst customer service experience. Nonchalant and cavalier attitude doesn’t impress much when you are spending tens of thousands of dollars. You practically have to beg to spend money here. Through this experience, I have learned there are several other options in Portland where you can purchase the same brands, and have your questions answered and your phone calls returned. Don’t waste your time. Go in, look at the showroom (they do have things displayed nicely), and then go purchase them somewhere else.

The quality here is nice, but the customer service is not great. I went in 3x looking for fixtures (and eventually buying) for our guest bathroom remodel. I was referred by our plumber. Though I was greeted by receptionist each time, always took a long time for someone to help. Even after I ordered the first fixtures, and they had my name on file, they had to re-​call my plumber to make sure he ‘okayed’ my purchase. I mentioned I had a modest (not cheap!) budget and the sales people (2 different ones on 2 different days), became very uninterested and did not (in my opinion) take any effort to help me with options. I did find what I needed, but not with their help. I only bought from them because it did help with my plumbers discount for me to stay in my budget, but if I have future needs, I’ll buy somewhere else. Customer Service should be the same for every person who walks through your door.

My wife and I were referred to Ferguson by our plumber. He has used the wholesale side of Ferguson for years for his company needs and said the showroom in NW Portland would be good place for us to look at designs. We called and set up an appointment and met with Charlie Young to design our full kitchen remodel. Charlie used pictures we had provided along with a visit to our home to measure and gather all of the info needed to redo this 1974 kitchen of the past.
Charlie was fantastic to work with. He listened to what we wanted and offered advice and ideas on what would make our new kitchen very usable for us. Charlie also helped with the countertops (Ceaserstone Quartz), and set us up with Laura for appliances… Key to us throughout the project was the ability talk with just two people for the entire purchase and install… We did not have to call a big-​box phone number and hope to talk to someone who knew what was going on.
Everything happened as stated and planned. Ferguson kept us informed of all activity including cabinet delivery and install, appliance delivery, and countertop measure and install dates; perfect execution by the team at Ferguson. I’ll add, Adam (through Ferguson) did the cabinet install and was very professional and the results were flawless.
A nice touch? The cabinets, appliances, and countertops were less expensive than the big box stores which make the ease of using Ferguson even better.
Words and pictures cannot describe the results and satisfaction we received on this project. Five stars for Charlie and the team at Ferguson.

Gorgeous showroom!
Chris Costello was super knowledgable and helpful in selecting a washer/​dryer combo, which isn’t the most exciting purchase, but he definitely made it as fun as it could be. Can’t wait to redo my kitchen with his help and their gorgeous appliances!

We recently remodeled our home and purchased several pieces from Ferguson. They have a nice selection and know their stuff. Shopping and purchasing was pleasant, follow up and customer service is another story.
Getting a response out of Ferguson is like pulling teeth. Like I said, we ordered a lot and there were inevitably screw-​ups: items came in in the wrong finish and had to be sent back, parts were defective and needed to be replaced, etc. Getting these problems resolved has required an inordinate amount of babysitting on my part. I am constantly calling and emailing to find out the status of my replacement parts, what’s going on, have they been ordered, when will they be in, etc. It’s been over a month and still no resolution. It feels like there is no system in place to deal with returns, replacements and service.
Everyone knocks the big box stores but we also bought several items from Home Depot and I’d take their customer service any day over Ferguson. Efficient, effective and pleasant to deal with. I don’t expect Ferguson to beat the big box stores on price. I DO expect them to outperform when it comes to customer service.

After reading the reviews we are a little terrified by the many poor reviews as a non-​wealthy couple looking to remodel our bathroom. However when we walked in the lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and what we really appreciated was she asked us if we like time to look around on our own, or if we would like to schedule to get in with one of the designers. As my husband and I don’t like to be followed around the store and like to think things out first, we appreciated her asking this. We also were able to borrow a tape measure from her to measure the various appliances vs what we have at home. The selection was better than the other big plumbing showrooms and the service was 20 times better. We took lots of pictures of the items that we liked and now have a full shopping list put together! The only short coming I would say is that they did not have shower doors to look at — there was one shower floor model but otherwise no indications of the types of glass or styles they offered. As far as this was not something that we can just order out of a catalog without looking at, we won’t be shopping there for this particular item in our bathroom :(. But other than that it was a great shopping experience and we look forward to returning. We obviously did not spend any time with the designer to review that side of the business and so will write a second review when that happens.

I have had two great visits thanks to Christopher and the friendly receptionist. The showroom is updated with great plumbing fixtures and lighting. My expectations were surpassed. Thanks for making my job much easier!

They have beautiful pieces but they need to work on their customer service and availability. 20 minutes without being acknowledged? I guess my business is not needed.

As mentioned in other reviews they have a nice showroom with a nice selection of products. We arrived today and were told we needed an appointment with an attitude if «we were bothering» them. They did let us look around on our own but did observe that 2 of the sales clerks were without clients the entire time we were in the showroom.

Went in looking for a toilet, got what I felt was a good deal on a Kohler toilet, and ended up buying a new washer and dryer too! Sales guy was named Chris and gave us great service.

I rarely take time to post a review. It has to either be real good or real bad. After walking into their showroom and being extremely impressed with the layout, quality and greeting from the front desk (which is hard to find these days), I was even more impressed with the attentiveness of staff. Maybe I came in on a good day, but I was catered to very well and felt they not only wanted to ensure I made the right choice, but was comfortable and well informed. I walked away a very satisfied customer and would recommend Ferguson for anyone looking for quality and expertise. They absolutely delivered on their promise. Thank you.

They have a nice selection of products throughout the store. If you are looking to do a reasonably priced remodel of a bathroom or kitchen, this may not be the place for you.
We purchased a light fixture recently and it was near impossible to find a sales person to help us. They were all busy helping other people.

Terrible worst behaving commissioned sales staff ever. Rude, self serving unprofessional and all by company policy they claim. I was actually told it was policy to have you purchase prior to having product specifications to review. I am speaking of installation specifications not being available until after purchase. The claim was you may go shop us for a better price! I don’t know if the price they gave me was good or bad however two phone calls got me what I needed. My general contractor found local competitors that carried the same products for our home building project. Without attitude or grief

Once you get a staff member assigned to you they are really helpful and friendly. The showroom is extensive and has good quality items and brands (unlike the big box homes stores).
We recently exchanged an opened item (from 4 months ago) and were given full credit and paid for the shipping to have the new one delivered to our home.
Impressed and will continue to shop here. Recommended.

We tried to schedule a showroom consultation. Used the on-​line scheduling process, which worked well with really good national customer service, but that’s where the customer service stopped. The showroom doesn’t take appointments on Saturdays! The attitude, at least from the person answering the phone at the NW Portland showroom, was that «If you can’t take time out of your work week to come in to talk to a consultant, we don’t have time to help you.» We then called a local appliance supplier, who’s been in business for 85 years, and they spent 25 minutes on the phone with us right away, getting info so they would have ideas to present us when we came in to the showroom on Saturday.

We spent quite a bit of time in this lovely showroom admiring quality products and getting ideas for the next stage of our remodel. I’ll be back when we get to the purchasing phase.
