Farmfood Cart

Excellent surprise in my old neighborhood!!! The egg sandwiches were extremely tasty!

I really wanted to sloppy joe to knock me off my feet, but it was just decent in my opinion. I was hoping for some taste bud revelation, or a fun twist on a classic. It’s the only thing I’ve tried on the menu, so maybe I need to try something else next time.

Wow talk about fresh and delicious and so close. This place has just the freshest ingredients. The mr bestwick is delicious with a great chicken that is perfectly cooked. The mayonnaise is just perfect.
They are only open 8 – 2 so it’s mainly for lunch and breakfast but if you around make sure to give it a try. The farm to table movement really is in full force in this place an we are glad!

This food cart pod is a great setup and I’d been wanting to try some of the carts. Today I had lunch at Farmfood and it was pretty good. I wouldn’t sat it was amazing, but I would eat here again.
I paid $ 7.50 for the Club which came with some potato chips. I was starving and when I finished it left me a little hungry. I think it would have been sufficient any other time I just happened to be super hungry today!
The turn around time was pretty quick but I imagine it could get slow if they were slammed since there was only one person working.
I will be back to these pods for sure and I wouldn’t mind trying the Mac N’ Cheese they have here. Perhaps that will pull another star out of me?

Delicious, hearty breakfast fried egg (+ for my order, the meat mania, bacon and chicken) sandwiches made to order here. Maybe because we went kind of early in the morning, there was only one person working so the orders took a while, but he was very friendly and let us know so we could explore the beautiful area around the food truck (and grab something to drink at the truck next door). The lunch and dinner menu look delicious, definitely want to come back to try it!

Good, but not great. Stopped by in a slow day and ordered some mac and cheese. It took about 5 minutes and was a smallish portion. The flavor was good, but nothing special. With all the food trucks around I don’t think I’d go out of my way to come back here anytime.

With such a wide selection of epicurean choices of food trucks Farmfood does a nice job to stand out. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Nice to see the provision of gluten free bread. There are really some outstanding items on the menu. The happy hubby is my personal favorite being a meat lover. This is closely followed by the Mr Bestwick with chicken and the apple crunch .All the food carts in St Johns little area are great. Can’t wait to go back and try another happy hubby, have some chowder and try the new potato place next to the beer porch I heard a lot of buzz about. Fun place to be.

Great, fresh, and cheap. Portions were small, but that was expected for the price. Breakfast sandwiches were bomb.

Sporting a name such as Farmfood comes with responsibilities. To provide truth in advertising with that title, the cart should offer high quality, reasonably priced selections with decent portions.
Done deal! The staff at this fine NoPo establishment are neighborhood people who take pride in their work. They are putting in the effort to succeed everyday and because they work hard and deliver the goods, this cart is quickly becoming a Lombard Street fixture. The menu is a collection of hearty, farm style satisfaction-​from-​the-​grill selections and their culinary innovation regarding standard Americana-​fare is impressive. I know them EggMicMacs down the road are priced to sell, but consider what goes into them. Now consider that at just slightly over that price, you can eat REAL food made by REAL peeps straight off the grill & griddle… yes, it does sound like a good time for breakfast eh? lol

Okay so the only thing I’ve actually had here is the sloppy joe but it’s so good and I just can’t bring myself to try anything else. My boyfriend loves the breakfast sandwiches but if you’re a really hungry guy you might need 2. Their staff is always super friendly too!

Great locally owned, locally ran cart with quality ingredients. I have personally had close to everything on their menu and find myself partial to their Mr bestwick (that chicken is incomparable) as well as their wonderful version of a sloppy joe. All this cart needs is more customers to help them flourish. Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of St. John’s!

I ordered Pups for President from breakfast menu. I could easily come here every other day. It was delicious and the service was fairly fast.
I love the location of these food carts. The covered eating area is awesome with variety of seating including some retro bench seats.

so greasy it almost made me sick. i have indigestion. I dont know why there is so much grease on the sandwich. How is it possible?

I tried the «who done it?» (I think that is what it was called it at least) But it was the most amazing Mac N Cheese I’ve had in a long while! Great pasta cooked well, and they did NOT skimp on the cheese. I also really enjoyed that it came with a small side spinach salad with what I think was a balsamic vinaigrette. I also really enjoy the food cart pod they are located in, its an eclectic group of chairs, benches, tables and even a beer porch that has a hammock.

Yum! Love this cart. I have the Mr. Bestwick, and the flavors together were amazing! Really good bacon, apple, chicken, delicious! The cook was very friendly, and for $ 6.00 it’s a great deal.
My only complaint is that isn’t not the biggest portions. I had the sandwich and the chips and I was still a little hungry. So I guess order another burger?!

Good, solid farm-​style sandwiches served by friendly dudes who are passionate about their business!
For its proximity to the Adidas campus, I’d really like to see this cart pod flourish, and I think farmfood’s presence is a great start. I’ve only ever tried the Mr. Bestwick sandwich with the beer butt chicken, and it’s really excellent — tasty chicken, smoky bacon and an unexpected crunch of green apple on an amazing brioche bun. While I’d like to see the sandwiches be a little bigger for the price point, I understand that you have to pay a little more for a lot higher quality of ingredients, so I won’t complain! Served with a side of house-​made kettle chips, it’s the perfect lunch — even though it’s on the smaller side, it fills me up.
In the future, I’d love to see gluten-​free bun options (although, oh, that brioche) and possibly an option for a side green salad or perhaps potato/​egg salad instead of the chips. Farm salads would be a great addition!

Yummo! I treated myself to their Mr. Bestwick sandwich for lunch and it was heavenly! This is my new favorite sandwich here, although everything I’ve tried has been great. Beer butt chicken (yes please) with bacon (duh), their jalapeño relish (they should jar and sell this!) and sharp cheddar cheese perfectly compliments the slice of sweet, tangy apple they slap on that bad boy. It was like a party in my mouth! The bread was really great quality as well.
I’ve also had a couple of their breakfast sandwiches with perfectly fried eggs (and I’m an egg snob). The yolk runneth over! *drool*
The guys that work here are awesome and always very friendly. Show these guys some love so they flourish through the winter. It rains most of the year here, if you let that keep you inside, you’re not really living are you? You won’t melt for Christ’s sake! Live a little!
Oh and they take credit cards! Woo hoo! It’s the little things. I’m lazy about getting cash… :)

Like the name implies, natural ingredients served up in a timely fashion on a country style budget. I like the fact that the cooks wear white tops with hats. Very neat and clean presentation. «Tasty hot sandwich» is there tag line and it rings true!
Open at 7am everyday until 2:30 pm.

I was pretty impressed with this place and it’s a great addition to the pod. I had the egg salad sandwich with no bacon. It was served with some kettle potato chips and an asparagus garnish, all for $ 5 bucks. This salad mix was different from what I have had before, but I loved it. The bread they used was amazing too.
And to top it all off, the staff was also really nice. I believe this cart has a bright future. That being said, in keeping with the farm fresh theme, I would love to see some fresh squeezed juices and/​or smoothies made with lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Potato salad would also be a worthwhile addition! The menu is also pretty limited and I don’t recall seeing many vegetarian options, though they can accommodate such. Looking forward to my next visit.
